Lawn Fawn Video {5.4.23} Chari’s Embroidered Rainbow Mini Notebook

Hi Friends! Today Chari has another clever video tutorial for us! She decorated a Hello Sunshine Mini Notebook with an embroidered rainbow! Check it out below or click HERE to watch at our YouTube channel.

Thanks so much for watching! Have fun decorating our Mini Notebooks!

Chari stitched up a pretty rainbow using Embroidery Hoop and the Embroidery Hoop Rainbow Add-On. I love the fleecy Simple Puffy Clouds she added and the pretty little pink and gold glitter hearts. So many sweet little details went into creating this adorable notebook!

Chari added a strip of Vertical Stripe Rainbow Washi tape to add interest along the bottom. Then she tied on a sweet tag with Unicorn Tail Sparkle cord.

Thank you so much, Chari for sharing this inspiring project! Such a fun idea!

These mini notebooks can be personalized to make great gifts all year! Add a custom designed stitched Christmas tree Embroidery Hoop to the Snow Day or Let it Shine notebooks, or stitch a pumpkin for the Fall Fling or Into the Woods set. Need more great gift ideas? How would you decorate these mini notebooks? Let us know in the comments.

Mimi’s Charming Cross-Stitched Mother’s Day Card

We are happy to have Mimi join us on the Lawn Fawn Inspiration Team! And her first project is so sweet!

Mimi started her Mother’s Day card using Foursquare Backdrop: Portrait and What’s Sewing On paper. After snipping out the center grid of the die cut, she layered another pattern of What’s Sewing On paper behind. Next, she cut the Embroidery Hoop from Shimmer Neutrals cardstock in beige. And she cut the top “metal” screw from silver shimmer from the same neutrals pack.

She cut the Embroidery Hoop heart pattern from white cardstock. Then she stitched it using 6 strands of floss in DMC 3688 and 3689.

For the custom embroidery, Mimi used 18ct cross-stitch fabric backed with a Double Sided Adhesive sheet, leaving the backing on. It adds stability to the stitched piece and also keeps it from fraying. Then she cross-stitched the letters with 2 strands of DMC 3687 floss. She stamped, colored and die cut the images from Sew Very Mice. A circle die from Out of This World Lawn Cuts fit the round hoop perfectly. To cut out the oval hoop she used a craft knife.

Then she layered the stitched pieces behind the colored images to spell out “mom”. Finally, she arranged all the Sew Very Mice images on her card along with her sentiment.

Your Mother’s Day card is so charming, thank you for sharing with us, Mimi!

A Beautiful Stitched Easter Card with Grace

Grace is back to share another gorgeous card design with us! She created a special Easter card with custom embroidery!

Grace’s lovely design includes a beautifully stitched cross on an inked background. She arranged pastel vellum flowers from Darling Daffodils, Little Flowers and Magic Iris Floral Wreath around the gold metallic Embroidery Hoop.

Grace used 4 strands of white embroidery floss to stitch the cross. She used the gold dots left over from die cutting the hoop to add to her stitching. They were attached using Glue Tube and an embellishment wand. She also filled the flower centers with Sparkle Glaze and Prisma glitter as another special detail.

Grace stamped the Easter message in No 2 Pencil ink with Henry Jr.’s ABCs on a Fancy Wavy Banner.

Here is the template that Grace created for her custom stitching.

Grace, this card is amazing! So beautiful! Thank you for sharing your creativity today!
