Today Taheerah has an adorably clever
Loads of Fun card that features a water-filled shaker element!

She created the cool “neon” sign by heat-embossing the sentiment on acetate with Fluorescent Magenta embossing powder and then layering it onto a piece of
Black Licorice cardstock. Such a creative idea!
Since this is a water shaker the shaker elements needed to be waterproof. No problem, Taheerah stamped the clothes on shrink plastic then heat shrunk them to create water-safe images!
Taheerah created the water-shaker with the help of the Fuse Tool and a plastic stamp storage pocket. Another totally fun and unique element is that the water-filled washing machine “drum” can spin so the elements can move and appear to float!
Taheerah added some quick instructions so you can try this yourself!
For the spinning part I die cut a circle from some cardstock, poked a hole in the center, and a corresponding hole in the center of the machine drum, and used a brad to attach the two together. I kept the brad attached quite loosely so that the element could spin freely. I then attached another circle on top of the first one to cover up the brad. That circle is what you can see through the shaker.
For the water shaker part I used a circle die as a template and traced round the shape on a stamp storage pocket with a Fuse tool, to create a circular pocket. I didn’t go all the way round, leaving a gap so I could fill my shaker with water mixed with a little glycerin, and my shaker contents. I then carefully sealed the gap with the Fuse tool to make my shaker. The shaker circle is slightly smaller than the machine drum so that all the seams are hidden. I attached the water shaker element to the spinner part (just covered the entire circle with Scor-Tape and stuck the shaker to it), then adhered the drum rims from the machine on top to hide all the joins and give a finished look.
