She has been inspiring us with her delightfully innovative designs and we are so happy she is joining us today! Her cards today feature Simply Celebrate More Critters and the punny sentiments from Simply Celebrate More Critters Add-On.
Jennifer shares a bit about herself and her crafting journey:
My name is Jennifer, I have a PhD in chemistry and work as a consultant. I live with my partner in the southwestern tip of Germany, sandwiched between France and Luxembourg. We love to travel, especially to Japan or the USA.
At home, my passion is paper crafting. I started a long time ago, armed with a pen, scissors and a glue stick. Then, little by little, I worked my way up to a die cutting machine and bought my first branded stamps. Among them was my first Lawn Fawn set, Critters in the Forest. This set was the cornerstone of an ever-growing collection until I finally bought and used LF products exclusively. The individual sets coordinate and combine so well! There are lots of add-ons for older sets that keep them alive, and the interactive dies are just amazing.
I love pink, cute images and playful designs. I like to create interactive cards or scenes with the cute little critters. As you can imagine, being a guest designer is a little dream come true and I hope my creations will inspire you or at least bring a smile to your face.
Jennifer’s Simply Celebrate More Critters Cards
There’s so much tropical beauty in this Simply Celebrate More Critters card! Jennifer created a border of Tropical Leaves and the cute jungle critters! She also stenciled the Tropical Leaves in the background with Fairy Dust Stencil Paste for more subtle detail. How cute is the little sloth on the end, sleeping through the happy birthday greetings!
On the inside of this unique pop-up frame card, Jennifer created the treetop where the sleeping sloth is now wide awake and ready to send a birthday greeting! So cute! She used Hang in There for the sloth and also Tropical Vine Borders, Puffy Cloud Borders and Tree House to make the lush foliage! For the cute insect critters, Jennifer cut them apart to place them in the panes of the Window Frame die. They are sending get-well wishes to the fox from On the Beach. The cozy living room scene features Window Scene: Winter, Den Sweet Den and the Baked with Love cake stand as a side table. I love how she used tulle to create the shaker window that is open through the back of the card!
The woodland critters look so much at home in Jennifer’s forest design! She used Birch Trees in the background then she cleverly included one of the tree trunks from Lift the Flap Tree Backdrop as a fallen tree where the critters are hanging out. The birthday greeting looks beautiful gold embossed on the Grassy Border!
I love the clever circle shape of Jennifer’s farm scene! It looks like the critters are cheering on their friends from Hay There and You Goat This in a barnyard competition! She placed the Simply Celebrate More Critters behind the Hay There fence so they are front and center for the event! This is such a fun way to send encouragement and congrats!
Build-An-Aquarium is the perfect choice for the fishy critters in the Simply Celebrate More Critters set. I love how Jennifer snipped the cute little clam from the border to add to the bottom of the aquarium with friends from Ocean Shell-fie and You Are Sublime.
