She used Build-A-Drink Cocktail Add-On to create a shaker filled with tiny seed beads and sequins in an appropriate berry color. Then she added “40” with Henry’s 123s.

Thank you so much for watching!
Kara created the “1960’s kitchen of your dreams” to highlight our Build-A-Drink and Build-A-Drink Cocktail Add-On sets! Her yummy strawberry margarita is a perfect theme for a hot summer day!
To create the “tile backsplash”, Kara used the Honeycomb Stencil to add a blue hexagon pattern to her card front. Then she stenciled again with Clear Stencil Paste over the top to give the tile a shiny finish!
Kara used a fun mixed media technique to create the marbled “countertop”! She filled a paper plate with dollar store shaving cream, then added drops of Distress Ink refill. Using a craft spatula, she created the marbled pattern. She lightly pressed a plain white cardstock panel into the shaving cream. Then she lifted it up and scraped off the shaving cream revealing the marbled pattern of the ink. This is such a fun technique!
The So Smooth blender, cocktail glass, strawberries and ice cube tray fill up the left side of the vintage-looking counter, while the Build-A-Drink Cocktail Add-On margarita sits on a “table” in foreground, filling the space to the right.
Kara also used the marbled paper to die cut Scripty Enjoy bringing the fun texture to the inside of the card, pairing it with a sentiment from On the Beach.
Thank you so much Kara for this amazing 60s inspired kitschy kitchen design! I love seeing that shaving cream technique again!
