lawn fawn video: how to make a shaped card

Hello! I have had a few people ask me how I make shaped cards (like this one), and I was making a shaped card for my next SPCC assignment, so I thought it would be a perfect time to make a quickie video.

Now, I don’t have the old set up I used to have, so I balanced the tripod on the back of my chair. Not so good. So, please forgive me for the quality of the video. I can’t wait until I can get a better set up because videos are fun!

Here is the video!! Click on the HD button to see it in HD. If you would like to see it larger over at youtube, click here! (I highly suggest it. It is such much easier to see it!)

Traveler’s Inspiration 4 & CardPatterns 25 Challenges

Mike and I are going to a wedding of our friends from college this weekend. We are so excited to see them get married, and we are also excited because it will be a reunion of sorts. So many college friends will be there that we haven’t seen in a while, so we are really excited!

I needed to make them a card, so I decided to get inspiration from TravelingMama’s challenge and my first time participating in CardPatterns. I seriously love TravelingMama’s blog, and her challenges are amazing. How incredible is that picture?! I wish I was there right now! 🙂
ETA: I almost forgot to say that I was also inspired by the colors and pattern of the bright and breezy tote for the Moxie Fab bag lady challenge! Gotta love the name of that challenge!

So, this is officially the busiest card I have ever made. It is very out of style for me, but I do like it. I have THE hardest time with wedding cards. I don’t know why, but I just do. I really hope our friends like the card!

I also seem to have an addiction to dots and flowers. I can’t stop! The vine on the left side is a Quickutz Silhouette design. I love it!

Well, it is time to keep working. We are leaving tomorrow morning, and I have more work to do. Ugh! It never ends sometimes, huh?! I can’t wait for the festivities to come! 🙂

[Supplies]

Raspberry Suite #13 & 2 Sketches 4 U #31

Hello! I got to do 2 more challenges! I am seriously addicted to challenges, and who wouldn’t be with these two awesome ones! The colors are AMAZING, and I just love this sketch. I took some liberties with the sketch. I am assuming that is allowed. I hope so! 🙂

This card is glitter-tastic. It’s like the Stickles finally went to my brain or something! I put red Stickles on all the dots of the dots and flowers design block stamp. I spread stardust and diamond Stickles all over the flower, leaves, and sentiment. I will tell you that there is a huge difference between stardust and diamond. Diamond has more gold and really covered up the lines on the flower. I had to do some serious wiping off. I am still covered in glitter! I also added glitter to the button. So fun!

I know I say I am in love with different products a lot, but I am seriously in love with the new In Bloom Papertrey Ink set. I stamped the flower three times and cut out different parts and layered them with some foam dimensionals. It looks really cool! I just love it!
