Hello and welcome to the next Everything but the Kitchen Sink challenge! This time our challenge is the “around the house” challenge and the wonderful Ann is our hostess! Our item is … Aluminum foil!! Now I know you guys all have this at home and it is actually super fun to work with! I can’t wait to see what you make! Cover chipboard, make impressions, punch out shapes! Wooo! Fun!! 🙂
I decided to use my GCD/Melody Ross chipboard tool on the foil. I made the world’s thickest foil piece by folding it over on itself and then hammered in the chipboard “stamp”. I think it looks so cool. It really looks like an expensive embellishment in person. I framed it with this chipboard frame and after that just made a really simple card!
Our sponsor this week is … W Plus 9! Woo! They are offering a stamp set of your choice to the winner! So get on over and play along with us! We can’t wait to see your creations!

Hello! I hope you guys all had amazing weekends! I am here with this week’s 2 Sketches 4 You challenge! Our sponsor this week is the wonderful Mint Motif. Here is the fabulous sketch by the lovely Laura:Isn’t this a great go to sketch?
I stamped the squares from the set, cut them out and rounded the outside corner. Then I used antique linen Distress Ink on them to get them to match these wonderful Sassafras borders and stickers from Torendi’s latest kit, “Paris in Bloom”. I love that Sassafras has those little borders on the bottom of their papers!
The Cosmo Cricket chipboard is also from Torendi’s kit and I decided to see if I could Distress Ink that too, and it totally works! I am so excited about changing up some of my chipboard and also wondering why I didn’t think of this before. Am I the last person to try this? Hehe!
The sentiment is from the coordinating Very Square Mint Motif set, and I just cut the square to mimic the size of the square stamps.
Make sure to head on over to the 2s4y blog to play along and see the other DT cards! We can’t wait to see your creations!
