Everything but the Kitchen Sink Challenge #10!

Hello everyone!! Welcome to another Everything but the Kitchen Sink “around the house” challenge. What is our challenge this time? Fabric! That’s right! Now, you could you some of that pretty fabric you bought at the store … or you could get wacky and use fabric from around the house! I am talking old t-shirts, socks, and, well, towels!
I used one of those tiny terrycloth towels meant for cleaning from Target and cut it up to create this robe. I even made little pockets by cutting out squares and gluing them with glue dots. This whole robe is held together by glue dots! I could not find my embroidery thread and floss, so glue dots to the rescue!

The ducks in the background are from The Cutting Cafe “rain rain go away” set. I created a little background with them in Illustrator. The Cutting Cafe is our sponsor this week! They are even giving away three free sets to the winner! Awesome! So come along, get out your fabric and play along with us. We cannot wait to see what you create! Just go to this post to get Mr. Linky. Also check out the rest of the design team. They are amazing, and their links are to the right in the sidebar!

Have an amazing day,

Mother knows best!

A Mother’s Day card in February … hmmm. Why? Well, this came from the reject archives, my friends, and since I haven’t had time to craft lately, I thought I would let it see the world. I actually think it is pretty cool, mostly because I love that Cosmo Cricket woman image!
I spelled out my sentiment with different alphabet sets. I do this a lot because I don’t have the sentiment I want in my head, and I hate dealing with my printer! haha! The gems are actually the clear Kaiser Craft ones Papertrey Ink carries. I just colored it with my Copics. Custom colored gem on the cheap. Love it!

So all my sneaky weird annoying comments about why I have been busy … well, they are all leading to March 2nd! Make sure you tune in, same bat time, same bat channel on March 2nd! I think it will be well worth it! 🙂

Have an amazing day,

oops! clarification time!

Thank you all so much for your sweet comments on my previous post. I seriously heart you all :).

A few people have asked, so I thought I should clarify. This is my first card acceptance I ever received, but because magazines have different publication times, it is not the first issue I appear in to be published. Phew! That’s confusing! So, this issue holds a special place in my heart!

I hope you all are having awesome days! 🙂
