Hero Arts + Lawn Fawn blog swap week! Day 4

Hello, everyone! We have an awesome treat for you this week! Lisa Spangler from Hero Arts and I are switching places! That’s right! She is creating for our blog, and I am creating for the Hero Arts blog. Lisa is one of the sweetest people on the planet, and we absolutely love our friends over at Hero Arts, so I think we are going to have a blast!
After you check out Lisa’s gorgeous project, make sure to head on over to the Hero Arts blog!

Also, in case you missed it, check out our first day post here, our second day post here, and our third day post here!

This might be the happiest, merriest card ever!!! I just love how she combined Sweet Christmas with the Fa-La-La paper pack and Lawn Trimmings!

From Lisa:
I wanted to make a little card and surprise
Kelly! So, that is her inside the house and me dropping by to deliver a
sweet gumdrop! hee hee. Love this set so much, it’s so easy to get
creative with it!

Adding rock candy distress Stickles to the
gumdrops make them look exactly like, well, — gumdrops, yay! Once I got
started with the glitter I couldn’t stop, so I put a heavy line of it
along the roof (which took forever to dry, but was so worth it!), and
then brushed some on the window, the scallops, and the bows in the
gingerbread girls’ hair too!

I just had to stamp the “sweet” in neon pink ink to make it really stand out!

After cutting open the door with a craft knife, I lined it with some of the green chevron paper from the fa la la 6×6 pack. A little gem serves as a door knob. 🙂

To finish off the card, I couldn’t resist adding some peppermint trimmings! I think it goes perfectly with the sweet candy theme.

One last little tip! When you’re coloring the gingerbread girls, if you get marker on their icing have no fear! Just go over it with a white pen later and no one will ever know! Plus it adds that little extra something.

I just love this card! Such a sweet surprise! If only Lisa and I were actually hanging out in house made of candy 🙂 Thank you so much, Lisa! We just had the best time with you and Hero Arts this week!
