  1. My favourite way to colour images is watercolour but I tend to use Copics or pencil crayons as I can control them more and the cardstock is easier to fussy cut.

  2. This is such a wonderful card!! My favorite way to color is using copic Markers and distress inks, I love making cards( with LawnFawn stamp sets of course!!) Thanks for sharing!!!

  3. I struggle with water-colour, so my go-to colouring mediums are pencils AND my distress markers. Depending on the image, I may use a fusion of both! Thank you for the fabulous inspiration!

  4. Awesome card & sweet little elephant & birdie! I am starting to use THoltz Distress Markers to color with. I am intrigued with ZIG watercolor markers videos and think I would like to try them too.

  5. I LOVE this elephant card! The colors are amazing! My favorite coloring media are copic markers because of their bright, bold color saturation. Colored pencils and pastel chalk are also fun to work with, although I just don't use them enough for cards. Maybe this is the time to start?

  13. Such an adorable card! I like to use different colouring mediums. Right now I'm trying to get acquainted with my very first Copics and am also trying to use my Zigs more.

  14. Love your very sweet card!!!!
I enjoy colouring with my GraphIt markers and recently I got a few colouring pencils that I'm learning how to use and enjoy very much!!!!! Enjoyed colouring when I was a little girl and up to today I still love doing it!!!!

  15. If I want to make something really special, I will spend hours using my Copics….If I want something faster, I pull out my watercolors. And if I'm just coloring to color, I pull out my pencils. I understand it lowers your blood pressure so I'm all in! Thanks for the inspiration. I have to say, Lawn Fawn has the cutest small images…I have so many of your stamp sets

  16. Cute card, just inspired the baby card I need to make 🙂 I am addicted to using Distress Inks and an aquabrush, I have Jenn Shurkus to blame for teaching me how to do this, I have been hooked ever since.. Clairex

  17. Lizzy – thanks for sharing this! I need to get back to watercoloring (I use distress ink, too) … my favorite way to color at the moment is with my new colored pencils!

My favourite way to colour stamped images is to use linen cardstock as a base and use children's colouring pencils on the top! the result is that the image looks really textured.

  22. I love to color with Copic markers. I am still learning but I am getting really good with blending in some of the color families. I am currently dabbling in watercoloring as well and am liking the results but am still partial to Copic markers.

  23. I use color pencils. I had them from art classes in college, oh sooo long ago. So when i discovered Lawn Fawn Die Cutting, I wasn't ready to make the Copic plunge and used what I had on hand.

  24. Though I own more Copics than I care to admit, I love to water color best. Lizzy did a great job on this card, but would love to know the kind of paper she used to water color. I noticed it was smooth versus the rough normal water color paper.

  25. Keep the cute stamps coming! I have a tradition of using them on my (soon to be 15 year old) daughter's cards. Her favorite one to date is the light up unicorn for Christmas! 😁 I colored her with Copics, which is often my go do with your images, though I don't know why. I like to color with almost all media, but somehow Lawn Fawn images always make me reach for my copics! 😁

  27. You guys certainly have an abundance of adorable images to color! I generally gravitate toward Copics, but my mission this month is to work with Zigs and colored pencils a bit more.

  28. The easiest medium for me to use to color is colored pencils. But i really like the look of markers and water color.

  29. I love this technique, but I don't have any distress markers. I have been using mostly Crayola markers, and have gotten quite adventurous mixing my own colors. I scribble them onto a white plate and pick up the color with a damp brush!..Thanks for sharing, and for a chance to win!

  51. I love using colored pencils to color images but loved the way you used the distress markers as watercolors. Can't wait to try it with the markers I have. I love the adorable critter stamps on your card. Thanks for some great ideas.

  52. I like coloring mostly with colored pencils (especially inktense) and watercoloring with my distress inks.

I just bought my first Lawn Fawn set. I love it, and now I am just wondering why it took me so long.

  53. What an adorarable card! I'm not very good at coloring so I try to use stamps to get color. I try with Zigs and use some Distress inks. I have some Copics but they are beyond my skill set for now

  64. I have lots of fun ways to color. I've been coloring my whole life but didn't get my first adult coloring book until 1981. I have some Copics but I don't quite know how to use them like my friends do. I need classes so I can do the fun things I see others do. I love crayons and being a preschool sub I can vouch for Crayola being the best crayons. I also love colored pencils and I have some water color pencils from grade school. I love markers and I have quite a few different kinds. What I don't like about markers or some markers is the cap colors don't match the marker colors. I have what looks like a florescent yellow marker by the pen cap but when you use it, it is a dark yellow color, a brownish yellow color to be more specific. That really cracks my cookies! Another marker I have is called Rose but it's more red then pink and the cap looks more pink then red. Last but not least is water colors and I have some faves. I have a whole bunch of paint brushes and I just love to color and create with them. The problem is I am not always where there is water and I can paint so I am usually using my colored pencils, crayons, and markers.
What a cute card you made! It even has my favorite color in it that most people don't use, yellow. 10 extra points for you ! LOL Thanks for letting us get a chance to win something. I love Lawn Fawn stamps!

I also recently got the full set of Polychromos that I'm practising with, and should be getting my first set of Copics on Monday (hasn't stopped me from stalking the tracking – seeing if just MAYBE they'd get here before the weekend) 😁 Can you tell I love colouring?

  67. Up to this point, Copics have been my coloring medium of choice. I got Zigs for Christmas, but I haven't had the opportunity to break them out yet…

  68. The little Elphie is so adorable!!
