Design Team Inspiration

The design team has made the most amazing samples! We also have a video at the end to inspire you! Remember to click on the person’s name to see all of the details and leave these wonderful DT girls some comment love!

Grace created a Year Thirteen card that is so clever! She accented the smiling dumplings with Let’s Roll and Stitched Teacup. I love how she used Build-A-Barrel: Apple to fashion the steamer basket, that is so brilliant!

One good pun deserves another! Kara featured Year Thirteen with a custom sentiment spelled out with Henry’s ABCs and Henry Jr.’s ABCs! And it all looks so great on a What’s Sewing On background!

Elena‘s dim sum cuties are getting “steamed” in a good way! This fun party scene includes the ladder from Apple-solutely Awesome and the sweet little banner from Fly High! She stamped out the punny sentiment on a Simple Wavy Banner.

Latisha stenciled a dreamy backdrop of pink clouds to layer her Year Thirteen dumplings on. I love how she left them uncolored other than their pink cheeks! The Fishtail Banner is a sweet and subtle accent!

Megan also used Build-A-Barrel: Apple to make a steamer basket, cutting it from Woodgrain cardstock. I love how she added the speech bubbles and birthday sentiments from Simply Celebrate Critters, that is so clever! And then she added even more fun with Year Eight‘s fortune cookies!

Dim Sum-Body say “rainbow” steamed buns? How adorable is Elise‘s cute and colorful row of dumplings!

Caly‘s card is so sweet with soft pastels from the What’s Sewing On paper. She created a custom steamer basket using Stitched Ovals. Be sure to check out the video below to see how she made it.

Yainea‘s square card with a grid design is so fun! She added a festive touch to the buns with cute little party hats!

Audrey combined Asian cuisines with Year Thirteen and Let’s Roll to create a fun international spread! With some Fishtail Banner Borders and cheery Stripes ‘n Sprinkles paper, this is one happy card!

The cute little dumplings look so cute stamped over the background! It’s a great way to add fun while featuring two of buns with the chopsticks!

And now Chari has a special project featuring Year Thirteen to inspire you!

Chari will show how to create Caly’s steamer basket and she shares her Copic color picks to coordinate with Really Rainbow paper! You can watch the video below or click HERE to watch at our YouTube channel.

year seven the pinata, year six the shellfish & year three the birthday cake with slice.
Happy 13th Birthday Lawn Fawn & to many more!

  2. That’s a tough one, but I think Birthday Before n Afters is my fave, closely followed by Elphie Selfie.

  3. It has to be Party Animals. I was Jennabled to buy it after Jenn used it in a bonus card and now I don’t know how I lived without it!!

  4. I love Year Nine – Let’s Taco ’bout your birthday, but also like Year Two for belated birthday ideas.

  5. My favorite birthday year set is the pinata and my favorite regular birthday set is really high five.

  6. I love the Planet one because I love that pun! I have never had dim sum… I don’t even know what it is… I have to look it up 🙂

  7. Hard to choose a favorite bday set as they’re all so cute and fun! The DT did a great job showcasing year 13!!

  8. My favorites are years 2, 3, and 4. I have several of the others but these are the ones I use the most to make any type of cards with.

  9. Fly High
Love the hot air balloon. Was able to go for
a ride years ago and it was fantastic.
    Great release.

  10. I like the Birthday Before and After set. It has had a lot of use. I love the fish-tail banner used on a lot of sets as well.

  11. My favorite birthday sets are year 3 (the cake and the slice of cake) and year 10 (the cactus). But then I also love year 11 (the planet) and year 4 (hippo birdie to you)! Pick 1 Lawn Fawn favorite?? I never can pick just one!

  12. My favorite birthday set (and maybe my favorite Lawn Fawn set altogether) is Year Four. The “Hippo birdie to you” saying always makes me laugh!

  13. Lawn Fawn has incredible birthday sets so it is difficult to pick one favorite, but I particularly like anything punny!

  14. Hard question 😅 It’s almost like asking a mother which is her favorite child 😅
I think my favorites are probably year three, four, and seven.
And now I feel very guilty towards the others 😩🫣😅

  15. That’s an impossible question but I’m going with Year Two as it was one of the very first Lawn Fawn sets I purchased and it’s a classic!!

  16. Mmmm.. xiao long bao are my favourite dim sum!! But for the birthday sets my favorite would have to be Year 4 – a classic!!

  42. My favorite is Year Seven. I can add it to many different birthday scenes.

I love this one though! It reminds me of that Pixar short. So adorable

  43. Year four in the anniversary series is my favorite of those but Critter Concert, Oh Gnome, Really High Five are the birthday sets I really like and use more than any others.

  47. I really like the Party Pig. I love this dim sum set too, and all the clever ways the design team made steamer baskets.

  48. I love them all, but unfortunately not all puns are easy to understand for German speaking recipients. So it is year two and year eleven if I have to choose…but of course I have the others too.

  49. All the previous years’ have been cute but I love this latest one – I’m Chinese ethnically, I love dumplings and yum cha so there is no competition!

  60. This birthday set cracks me up! I’m slowly but surely building up my collection of Lawn Fawn birthday sets. Because of the “pun-y” sentiment, which my 10-year-old grandson loved, I’d have to pick last year’s parrot set as a favorite.

  61. Year 10. I like all of the LF birthday sets but I got to buy this one at Lawn Fawn when I went to to retreat right before COVID lockdown went into effect.
