Lawn Fawn Video {2.4.24} Mona’s Colorful Dry-Embossed Card

In today’s video tutorial, Mona uses the Heart Wreath Stencils to create a beautiful dry-embossed card design! You can watch the video below or click HERE to watch at our YouTube channel.

Thank you so much for watching!

In the video, Mona shows how to use Bristol cardstock with a stencil to create a unique embossed pattern. She shares a great tip to spritz the cardstock with water, so the paper fibers are softer. She attached the wreath stencil to the paper then used an embossing mat and die-cut machine to emboss the wreath.

Next, she used the flower stencil in Heart Wreath Stencils to color the heart flowers with Tombow markers. The colors she used are so brilliant!

Mona stamped the Porcu-pine for You critters, flower from Oh Gnome and envelope from Special Delivery with Jet Black Ink. Then she colored the images with Tombow markers to match the Pink Tutu paper that frames the embossed panel!

She cut Scripty Hello from glittery Sparkle Kraft cardstock, then layered it on two more die cuts in white. And then she heat-embossed the sentiment from Magic Heart Messages in white, and fussy cut it before layering it on top of the Scripty Hello.

I love this fun dry-embossing technique! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful and creative card with us, Mona!

  1. Love all the colors. Especially the porch-pine quills down their back. Thank you for the reminder that we can use our stencils to dry emboss. I had forgotten that technique.

  2. Thanks, Mona and LF! This is adorable and looks easy. I don’t usually dry emboss. I will give it a try.
