Mindy is here to inspire us with an adorable slider card featuring Garden Snail! You can watch the video tutorial below or click HERE to watch at our YouTube channel.
Thank you so much for watching!
Mindy shows us how she cut the Garden Snail pieces from white cardstock before coloring them with ink blending. I love the cute, dotted detail she added to the snail. Then she paper-pieced the snail and grass in a black outline with the help of double-sided adhesive sheets.
For the background, Mindy started with Mermaid cardstock, stenciling the Cloud Background with Merman ink. She also inked a panel for the ground with Distress Oxide in Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs. Then she included clouds from All the Clouds and a little All the Speech Bubbles greeting!
She had a little trouble with the slider in the video and suggests that watching the Intro to Slide on Over would be helpful. Here’s a slider tip: if using 3 layers of foam on the slider piece, you will also need 3 layers of foam to attach the card front to the base. And another tip: using a bit of anti-static powder on the edges of the foam on the slider piece will cut down on any stickiness.
Such a fun and happy way to send a smile! Thank you so much for sharing with us, Mindy!

Thanks so much for visiting, have an amazing day!
The dots add such a fun texture to the snail! đź©·đź’š
What an adorable snail! and interactive! so fun!
I love this card! I think the dots on the snail really “make” the color! It’s super-cute!! I agree w/ your assessment of the slider mechanism – I think the back strip of the clouds is the cause for the friction BUT it’s still an absolutely adorable card and it does not matter if the snail gets moved or moves on its own. LOVE THIS!
