Fawny Holiday Video

Samantha closes out the Fawny Holiday Week videos with a beautiful Winter Birds design on a Platform Pop-Up! You can watch her video tutorial below or click HERE to watch at our YouTube channel.

Thank you so much for watching! We loved sharing all the holiday video tutorials with you!

Samantha got so creative to use the Platform Pop-Up Cloud Inserts to create the treetops! She stamped the Platform Pop-Up with Woodgrain Backdrops to look like the tree trunk. Then she dabbed on some white paint to look like snow on the tree, so perfect for the cute Winter Birds!

More Design Team Inspiration

Franci made a cute holiday design with a simple inked background. Then she filled the card with all the cuteness of Cheesy Christmas!

How adorable are these pink peppermint candies?! Jenn‘s pretty in pink holiday card features Peppermint Border with Peppermint Stripes Stencils. And the Ugly and Bright bear in his Christmas sweater adds so much charm!

Jenn added special touches with gold sparkle cardstock and of course, lots of glitter! There’s even more shine in the greeting with Winter Big Scripty Words Hot Foil Plates!

Karin‘s lovely card has a rustic feel with the Woodgrain cardstock background. She cut String of Lights Backdrop from Vanilla Malt cardstock. She used gold metallic watercolor paint to highlight the light bulbs and it’s such a great idea! Then she added cute birds from Happy Couples and a greeting from Merry Mice!

So much cleverness with Tammy‘s Coffee Cup Gift Card Holders! She turned them into the cutest snowmen with the help of scarves from Woodland Critter Huggers Winter Add-On and a turkey feather turned carrot nose!

I love that the coffee cup lid looks like a top hat for the snowmen! It’s the perfect place for a bit of holly and berries, also from Woodland Critter Huggers Winter Add-On. Tammy finished the look with various sizes of black circles for the eyes, mouth and buttons.

  1. Love all the inspiration! I love using Lawn Fawn’s gift card and gift giving dies to make ornaments/gifts to decorate the tree.

  2. Ever since I started buying Lawn Fawn (so for a couple of years now), I’ve been making an ornament per year. So I would say ornament 😍

  3. I made a handpainted ornament collection (featuring snow people) for my MIL one Christmas and they reflected all the couples and any children in our family/extended family! My SIL was pregnant at the time and her “snow person” was pregnant too…

  4. Hi Kelly and Lawn,
So many super cute cards! My heart is full! ♥️
My favorite handmade holiday decoration is my Advent Calendar from Jenn Shurkus’s class. When December 1st arrives, it gets hung up and the countdown begins! ♥️♥️♥️

  5. I have made many homemade items to sell at craft shows & myself from matching wreaths to garland decorations for inside & outside of my home. Along with several decorated reindeer with Santa Claus sitting in a sleigh holding velvet toy bag & flowers. I’ve painted/decorated seasonal, non-seasonal, holiday wooden, slate signs, mailboxes, trays, planters, standing Santa Clause, snowman, pumpkins & so much more! 💗

  6. After seeing the cup turned into snowman and I have the huggers & turkey carrot nose dies I’ll be making some of those. I made round flat ornaments that I stamped, die cut, added gold foil top pieces and Calligraphy wrote on the center names to who I’m gifting.

  7. From my daughters kindergarten-days; a little Santa. an’t describe it as I don’t know the name of the materials in English. Very small, very simple, very loved!

  8. I get my daughters an ornament each year to add to their own collection. The ornament is something to signify their previous year. My younger daughter actually prefers that I make her ornaments.

  9. Through the years I have made many ornaments out of felt…Mr. & Mrs. Claus and Rudolph. I think my favorite handmade ornament was an Ohio State football player from a clothes pin to give my Dad ,,,,he loved it and it always went first on my parents tree!!!

  10. When my kids were young, I cross stitched Christmas stockings for our family of four. We still use them to this day! They’re super cute!

  11. My favorite handmade ornament is a star made of felt and dressed like Santa. I still have it and decorate my tree with it every year.

  12. I love the things that people made and shared w/ me over the years. I have a beautiful cross-stitched cardinal ornament on my tree!
I adore all the cards shared today – they’re fantastic. The ones w/ birds caught my eye, especially.
I’ll be watching the video at my lunch break!

  13. Last year’s project was my favorite. A lighted 2 glass bowl snowman wearing boots, hat and scarf on a charger plate with a small Christmas tree. Actually made 2, one for a friend. Her snowman was skiing.

  14. Every year I pick a new ornament for that year from craft markets. One year I went back to small business to get another ornament from them because I loved the ornament from the year before.

  15. It was a little angle ornament with my name on it that was made by my Grandpa 🥰. Still have it and I put it up every year!

  16. I made a really sweet ornament with a stamped angel put on the inside of the ornament along with glitter in a stamping class 20 plus years ago!

  17. I love the ornaments my adult children made when they were in elementary school. These are still so special to put in the tree.

  18. My favorite handmade decoration is my Lawn Fawn advent calendar! I made one in Jenn’s class for a friend and it was so cute that I made another one for our home!!

  19. My very favorite is a ceramic nativity that my mom painted when I was little. It’s beautiful and so special to me.

  20. One year, I cut out gingerbreads from wood and stained and decorated them for a gingerbread tree. Gingerbreads are my favorite!! I loved that look and still have the gingerbreads. Sometimes, I still use them and hang them from garland and wreaths.

  21. I made a banner one year that I used on my mantle. I have a tree skirt that I made over 30 years ago and still enjoy seeing it. Many ornaments are handmade. Always fun to make and use the items in my home.

  22. The coffee cup gift holders are so cute. I won’t dare say one favorite handmade decoration, but I have a favorite ornament from each of my children & grandchildren made by their sweet little hands.

  23. I don’t use it anymore because it is so very fragile, but I have an interfacing tree skirt that my mother painted with angels using the old-school metal tube paint roller pens from the 1970’s.

  24. My favorite handmade decorations are the two tiny Christmas stockings that I made for our kids for their first Christmas! One stocking is made with crewel embroidery and the other is counted cross stitch. Made the stockings many years ago but they still have a place of honor on our fireplace mantle every year!

  25. A large cross-stitched, detailed poinsettia made about 30 years ago. Still cherish it, hanging up on the wall every christmas season

  26. My cross-stitched winter pillow is my favorite. My grandma did ALMOST all of it, and then died. I finished it, and it’s on my chair in my craft room. I love it.

  27. Laat year, I made paper houses in which a little light could be placed, to make a small Christmas Village. That was so cute!

  28. I love the tag I made which is attached to the mason jar used for a flower arrangement at Thanksgiving. I also love the handmade cards I receive from card exchanges and from my Aunt Rita.

  29. When my kids were little we made ornaments together for a few years and I absolutely treasure those wonky tree baubles. Seeing them reminds me of all the happy time we spent making art together when they were small.

  30. When I was about 11, my great-aunt made Christmas stockings for my siblings and me! We hung them next to the fireplace for Santa to fill. She did beautiful work.

  31. I have a cute wooden reindeer I made a couple of years ago at a fundraiser for the church. It’s super cute, but my favorite thing about it is the memories of making it with the people at the church.

  32. A large wooden Santa face my kids made at a school craft fair years ago. It’s very simple but beautiful. It hangs on the wall every year.

  33. My favorite holiday decoration that I made is a plastic canvas holiday train. I put it on my mantle every Christmas.

  34. A small Christmas Tree assembled with hangers as a base, decorated with garlands, mini ornaments and string of lights. Perfect size for the office desk!

  35. In Intermediate school my boy were required to take a sewing class. They both made a hand stitched, stuffed Santa Claus. I display them every holiday season.

  36. What fun projects today! I see a couple of things I want to add to my wish list!
My favorite handmade ornaments are a set of two tiny angels that one of my aunts made. They were given to my Mom many years ago and she gave them to me.

  37. My favorite handmade decorations are the counted cross stitched ornaments my grandmother made when I was a kid. It’s always a special tradition to hang them on the tree each year.

  38. My favorite holiday decoration I made my mother still has and puts out every Christmas. It is a fabric stuffed Christmas tree. Made when I was in high school (cough cough 41 years ago cough cough)

  39. A friend made me a stocking when we were starving students, some 30 years ago. It goes on my tree each year and makes me smile every time i look at it. She’s made far more beautiful things since then, but this one was the first, and simplest, and I love it!

  40. What creative inspiration projects! My favorite handmade ornaments are the ones that my kids made through the years that we hang on the tree.

  41. A school project that was a homemade nativity set made of felt with hazelnut heads. Comes out every year for the last 40+ years! lol

  42. We have a ceramic Christmas tree that my sister painted a long time ago. It’s so lovely, with a doll, a teddy bear and some other gifts around the tree, all with a vintage patina on them. It reminds me her – so beautiful, so precious!

  43. My mother in law cross stitched an amazing Christmas stocking with beads and snowmen and my name. Even if we don’t fill it anymore, I love to bring it out and show it off.

  44. My favorite holiday ornament is always the latest one that I’ve handpainted for friends and family (and one for myself of course). This year. . .a penguin in a wreath. I’m in the midst of completing them.

  45. Such a wonderful release!! My favorite handmade Christmas decoration are the crocheted stockings that I made my family a couple of years ago.

  46. Years ago, I made a lion & a lamb ornament out of clear ornament balls, adding paint to the inside and decorating the outside to resemble a lion and a lamb. They’re so cute!

  47. I have some beautiful ornaments that were handmade by my great grandmother. They once adorned my grandparents’ Christmas tree, but now myself and each of my siblings have some and ornaments on our trees connect our families even though we are geographically far apart.

  48. My favorite handmade ornament is very plain and simple. A white piece of paper with some string that my son wrote “I love you mom” on.

  49. I have a nativity set that my mom made when I was little and one that my mother-in-law made many year ago. I love both of them especially now that both women have passed away.

  50. I’ve made lots of ornaments over the years. My Christmas wreath is a grapevine wreath with stuffed buffalo check ornaments that I made back in the 90s. Another favorite was a paper twist angel that hung on the wall. Last year, I made wall hangings with the LF Build-a-Snowman for gifts.

  51. A favorite handmade holiday decoration is the Santa cam ornaments I made for around the house, to watch for naughty and nice kid behavior!

  52. I have some hand made ornaments that my grandmother sewed and they are so beautiful- I love putting them on the tree each year.

  53. My favorite handmade Christmas decoration is a beautiful white ceramic nativity set my father made. As I display it each year it brings back memories of Dad who now celebrates Christmas in heaven in the presence of the One that is the real reason for the season.

  54. I made lighted scenes that included mini Christmas trees, figurines and a lot of fun stuff. Those are my favorite, and I gave a few as gifts.

  55. When my son was little he made a wreath from rice and glue and painted it green. It weighs a ton but we still put it on the tree every year ♥

  56. My favorite handmade gift is a decorated toilet paper roll. Long story short as a kid i used to hand make ornaments for all my family. I saw this fancy decoration in a craft book from 1970s and copied. It’s a running joke now and it’s my parents pride and joy ornament. It gets front n center on the tree every year 🤣

  57. Love the snowman coffee cup holders! My favorite handmade ornament is a handprint from my grandkids first Xmas, such tiny hands!

  58. My mom has quilted an advent calendar for my kids. They love visiting it every day counting down to Christmas and I love that it is a beautiful Christmas decor in my room.

  59. My whole tree is decorated with handmade ornaments my mom made. They are actual eggs, blown out, and decorated so pretty!
