Design Team Inspiration

The design team has made the most amazing samples! We also have a video at the end showcasing some fun ways of using all these new goodies! Remember to click on the person’s name to see all of the details and then leave these wonderful DT girls some comment love!

Mimi‘s Knock Knock, Who’s There card features the new Halloween Mice in a fun trick or “cheese” scene! She used the Knock Knock, Who’s There Tree Add-On with Tree House and Riverside Backdrop: Landscape to create a happy neighborhood. And there are cute extra details like the window from Tree House added to the Tree Add-On door, along with a roof from Build-A-House Halloween Add-On.

Open the door and the Halloween Mice get some treats, so cute!

Marine created an amazing scene filled with fun Fall goodies! She combined Treat Cart and Treat Cart Add-On: Coffee to make the forest cafe. Then she added pumpkins from Simply Celebrate Fall and the new Pick of the Patch Add-On for more Fall flavor. And she included owls from So Owlsome and Jump for Joy in the scene as well.

And inside the door, there’s another yummy pie hot from the oven!

Apple-solutely Awesome is a perfect match for Knock Knock Who’s There and the Tree Add-On! Megan‘s scene is so sweet with a greeting from Scripty Autumn Sentiments! I love the woodgrain texture she added to the oval decoration, it’s the perfect place stamp “open me” from Push Here.

The little mouse crunching on the apple is so cute and a sweet reward for opening the door!

Mindy used the Knock Knock Who’s There Rectangle Door Add-On to hide more fun! She created a Halloween scene with the new Build-A-Jack ‘O Lantern! Also included is a Picket Fence with Wild Wolves, Wolf Before ‘n Afters and Fangtastic Friends. The ghost and cat are from Scalloped Treat Box Haunted House Add-On.

Mindy hid a cute Halloween Mice critter with a mummy from Costume Party behind one of the jack ‘o lanterns. Such a clever idea!

Latisha‘s cute Halloween card features the Halloween Mice with Knock Knock Who’s There Tree Add-On in a non-interactive design. It’s perfect for building a scene with Spooky Forest Backdrop!

Franci‘s card is so whimsical and fun! She used the Booyah ghosts with Spooky Fence for her Knock Know Who’s There scene! In the background she created a spooky look with Nighttime Sky stenciled on Gleeful Gradients paper.

And of course, there are more Booyah ghosts inside the Tree Add-On!

Audrey sends Autumn greetings with Henry’s Build-A-Sentiment: Fall and the mice from You Autumn Know! I love how she used Autumn Breeze Stencil to add leaves to the treetop and falling from the tree.

How cute is that happy mouse popping out of the Knock Knock, Who’s There door!

Catherine assembled a bunch of nursery rhyme characters in her clever two-door Knock Knock, Who’s There card! Using the Tree Add-On, she cut the first door, then she added another door above using the main set. Double the fun with more cute characters to be revealed!

Catherine’s adorable scene features Silly Goose with the cow and the moon from Tiny Farm and All the Clouds. There is also the cat and the fiddle (Say What Pets, S’more the Merrier), mice (Hay There, Hayrides Mice Add-On), itsy bitsy spider (Fangtastic Friends) and Humpty Dumpty’s wall (Simply Celebrate Hangouts). It’s all so charming!

Lynnette layered the treetop with Favorite Flannel Fall and green textured canvas cardstock before filling it with apples! It’s the perfect backdrop for the Thanks a Bushel apples and squirrels from Pick of the Patch! I wonder who is behind the door with the open me sign?

It’s another squirrel, this one from Let’s Go Nuts, with a sweet message!

It’s the “witching hour” in Tammy‘s spooky cute scene! She combined Purrfectly Wicked with one of the Halloween Mice to create this fun Halloween card. Inking the Tree Add-On in gray and leaving off the tree “fluff” adds to the spooky vibe.

Open the door, if you dare, to find a frightful ghost! No, it’s just another one of the cute Halloween Mice!

We used the Rectangle Door Add-On with sweet Bitsy Blooms paper to make a cute Capybaras card!

It appears to be nap time for the capybaras behind the door!

Grace‘s interactive card features the Fairy Friends in a sweet scene! She also included gourds and mushrooms from the new Spring Basket Add-On: Fall set.

This thank you card could not be sweeter with another little fairy popping from the door with many thanks! I love that Grace used woodgrain patterned paper for the inside of the door, it’s so clever!

Karin created a brilliant scene featuring Knock Knock Who’s There Tree Add-On and Forest Border. She also used Tree House for the flowers and tiny mushroom. And everything, including the tree, apples and little birds from Center Picture Window Card Heart Add-On are colored using watercolors.

The cute Wood You Be Mine beavers behind the door have a special question for a “beauti-fall” girl!

Elena‘s Halloween card is so cool and spooky! She added clouds with Nighttime Sky Stencil, then she used Cute Cobweb, Scalloped Treat Box Haunted House and Spooky Forest Backdrop for more spooky elements. The door is opened just a bit, I wonder who’s there…

Eeek, it’s some adorable little ghosts! So scary!

  1. I could see critters telling a knock-knock joke on the front of the card with a critter telling the answer inside the door. I’m hoping you have some knock-knock joke sentiments coming.

  2. I think this would go great with the jokes from the “Dad Jokes” set – that would make for some really funny and cute Father’s Day cards.

  3. Presents sliding out for bithdays and Christmas, spiders crawling out, fish from behind a stone… great die!!

  4. I would like to do something as the tree with apples and mouse ! It can be used for many celebrations

  5. I love all the cards the LF designed team created! I can’t wait to be create cards
with mice stamp sets to celebrate Halloween, Christmas & birthdays!
It’s my Birthday today & my husband going to buy the Halloween mice stamp set! 🧡🐭🖤

  6. I love the door with the tree house and I am also picturing the treat cart in the scene. Love the new die!

  7. I would like to try to combine the new Knock, Knock die with the Dad’s Jokes set, too funny!! Fantastic new interactive die sets, super excited for this release!

  8. I’m thinking you could do something cute with the flying mice and hiding the door with a cloud

Trying this in the right place 🙄🤪

  9. So cute! Hope there’s a knock knock joke (words) add-on down the road. I see lots of mischievous mice and squirrels behind these doors!

  10. Love the new Knock, Knock die – all my LF Halloween stuff is coming out to play with this interactive die! Boo!

  11. First I have to recreate some of these and then the Inspo will flow💚💚💚💕 it’s so stinkin cute! Now I get the knock it out of the park! I had no idea when I said that yesterday because I was late to the video and no clueing in 😂🤣😂

  12. Love to try a spooky tree for Halloween!!
Love all the interactive dies lawn fawn does, I am so thankful for all the videos to help us create
    Thank you

  13. Where on earth do you guys get all these fab ideas from?!!!

I see a build a bunny birthday card for my great-niece with her name inside the door.

  14. This set is so much fun! I think it would be cute with the rabbits or bears. Or maybe a Santa workshop type card!

  15. Oh goodness, so many cute ideas! A baby announcement would be cute or guess who’s coming to visit?, for Christmas or when planning to visit the grandkids. 😊

  16. I would make a birthday card and pop open the gift! The bears and their den, all of the above choices! The possibilitys are endless with this interactive die!!!

  17. I could see it used as a baby announcement – “Our newest addition has arrived” or “Meet our new little one” If the family had other children the card could contain critter parents and critter siblings gathered around the tree. Inside the tree could be a baby critter with the child’s name or date of birth. Card could also come from an older brother/sister – Grandma/Grandpa look I have a little brother, new friend or new playmate. The possibilities are endless.

I think it also could be used as an end of the year card for teachers with the critter coming out of the door saying thank you, you are great or anything else.

  18. I can see using this interactive Knock Knock die w/ the famous LF squirrels, the mice and many other critters. Maybe the Tiny Friends, too! These examples are all SIMPLY FABULOUS! Thanks to the best DT out there!!!

  19. I love the interactive little doors, and can see them as openings to my mind: of course there are critters peeping out! Happy furry, feathered, and swimming friends delight in saying “Hello” kind of cards. Ha ha!

  20. This is just the coolest idea ever! There are so many options and exciting possibilities. I think a critter holding a birthday cake out the door with “surprise” as the sentiment would be so cute.

  21. My idea for this interactive die is to have a mice peeking out of the log house die and when you pull it out, he has his significant other with him

  22. I assume the door has to go in the bottom corner for the mechanism, so in wondering if that’s why none of the DT examples combined it with the Build-a-house or the log cabin. If possible, that’s what I’d want to do, since simply a rectangle door opening in mid air looks a bit odd to me.

  23. This is a fantastic interactive! It’s so versatile- I love it! I can’t wait to see the knock knock jokes. Very cute. My nieces are going to love this

  24. I think a scene using the farm set Hay There would be cute with farm animals hiding behind the door – I’m hearing the Old MacDonald song in my head as we speak!

  25. I’m looking forward to mixing and matching all the build-a-house dies with this interactive die! I also really love the tree add-on! I think that’s my favorite look!

  26. I think it would be cute to use with Crazy Antics. The mice are having a picnic and the ants come out of the door. I’m sure there’s a fun knock-knock joke about ants that could complete the scene.

  27. This die set is so versatile! I will be using it a lot for birthday cards with various critters hiding inside.

  28. I would want to see if the doors would work with any of the other houses (acorn, mushroom, pumpkin, etc) by maybe offsetting the house to work with the crease of the card???

  29. So many cute ideas for this set! A holiday scene with little mice peeking out waiting for Santa to deliver presents would be adorable!

  30. A camping scene with the tent next to the tree. A squirrel or other animal coming out of the door.

  31. I big shoe. The goose set gave me nursery rhyme vibes. Then the card that had the spider coming down by the goose gave me Little Miss Muffet vibes. So, a big shoe with a door for There was an old lady.

  32. I think this interactive feature is one of favorites!! Love it paired with the goose!!! I was thinking of Santa Claus or his elves opening the door to Santa’s workshop….love the “we’re expecting” and camping ideas….but love the idea of old woman who lived in a shoe, as well as many others!!! Great ideas!!!!

  33. I just waiting for someone to make a “Duck, Duck, Goose” card with the goose popping out of the door. Maybe I’ll make it! LOL 😀

  34. The possibilities for this new interactive die are endless; I’d somehow try to incorporate mini photos of people popping out.

  35. A nighttime scene with a critter that says Boo when the door is opened. Or a party scene with the sentiment Surprise would be fun for a surprise party 🙂

  36. Oh my goodness, you and the design team gave so many wonderful ideas that I want to recreate all of them!! However, I am mentally creating a bday card for my BIL using the die. I am in the early idea stage but I know he will love it!

  37. I really love the idea of Halloween cards – I give out all my makes to the kids that come to my house on Halloween (with candy, of course!).

  38. Love all the projects from the design team! I can see that die used with a castle with a princess and dragon, or even a sandcastle with a crab or lobster on the inside!

  39. I like the idea of Halloween theme cards using mice… but my favorite is Mother Goose themed cards… (big sigh) so many great ideas so little time… can’t wait for the release!

  40. Would be a fun surprise birthday or use it make the doors of the mushroom, pumpkin, or tree house interactive. Lawn Fawn’s interactive dies are the best!

  41. I like the idea of a BOO! inside of the door with those adorable little mice for Halloween ! the Halloween mice are so cute!!
    Love, love, love them!

  42. Adorable cards! I’d like to use Knock Knock, Who’s There! with Build-A-House and all it’s add-ons!

  43. this is so cute, so many possibilities, I like the idea of how you can use it in outdoor scenes like under rocks, or waves

  44. I think it would be super cute to make a Thanksgiving card with a little critter popping out to welcome you to their Thanksgiving celebration.

  45. Oh wow, I love this set. I can see some of my cat images hiding in there or the mice hiding from the cats!!

  46. I can’t wait! I love the mice in costume knocking on the door for trick or treating. That will be my card this year!

  47. I think, having Santa peek into a room with a christmas tree and some sleeping kids will be what I try first with this die set. But there are so many possibilities here. I am also looking forward to use it on Halloween cards. Or with the cabin die, placing it in the woods, having a critter peek out the door…

  48. I would attempt to have some tiny birthday balloons or cupcakes pop out. What a cute interactive feature which LF does the best!

  49. I’d like to use it with the lift the flap meadow set – so lots of little flaps to lift and a door to open – maybe with little bugs from a bug deal popping up, or crazy antics. But I might just copy the DT samples as they are so great

  50. My head is spinning with ideas! I love the Halloween mice with the Knock Knock set. I’m sure I’ll use my Little Library set with this one too.

  51. How cute is this die? I watched the video and have determined I need this in my life! Lovin’ the release so far. Can’t want.

  52. I love the new Knock Knock, Who’s There interactive Die. My boys love they’re knock knock jokes so I can see making some cards with a “punchline” when you open up the door!

  53. I plan to move and mail cards to friends as a fun way of telling them my address. Imagine a sold sign in front of the tree, and a little critter popping out with a “Welcome!” and “come on in!”. Too cute <3

  54. I would try a ‘coffin’ with the new die set. Maybe ghosts coming out of it… to stick with the Halloween theme.

  55. When I saw the door and the tree, the first thing I thought about was the Keebler Elves and the cookies! I think I want to try some cookie baking mice!

  56. I LOVE this interactive die. Knock Knock, Who’s There is super cute. I think I would use it for little critters and simply critters sets and those punny sayings.

  57. I really like this new die. It would be cute to send it to friends for a unique birth announcement. When you open the door you see a character dressed like a little boy or girl. Then put a picture of the your little one and details inside the card.

  58. I would attach different objects to the door fronts ( cupcake, present.xmas tree, critters, etc) to change the theme for different occasions

  59. Would love to have the little mice hiding behind and also a gingerbread man or hide the lawn fawn puppy with the gingerbread in his mouth!

  60. I’m thinking I’d use this adorable set to illustrate my grandkids Halloween adventures in their scrapbooks.

  61. I love how this interactive element is part of a background scene and would love to see more along this line – a slider element on a mountain/water scene for snow or water skiing, some type of underwater background with an interactive element, etc. I love all of the design team projects and look forward to playing with this die.

  62. I can’t give you any new ideas since you guys have cornered the market in interactive dies but love everything you have.

  63. I would use this set to reenact a picture of my kids in their costumes, trick or treating when they were little

  64. These little mice are adorable in their little costumes! I think this would make a fun interactive card with any monster or ghost saying “boo”

  65. I think it would be cute with either a reindeer pecking his head out or Santa in the doorway. Scrolling through so many thoughts came into mind.

  66. I first want to recreate all the wonderful cards showcased but definitely want to do a xmas theme with it with presents hiding or something like that.

  67. What a fun set! I’d love to mix and match the Mother Goose with some of the other critters with books and this set

  68. You guys come up with the most ingenious interactive dies. I am not good at making interactive cards so I wouldn’t know where to begin with ideas.

  69. I would love to make a christmas card, like make it the door to Santas Workshop or the the reindeer stable

  70. I will use this for different birthday cards. It will also make great halloween cards with “boo” or thnak you cards with “thank you”.

  71. I would use it for an underwater scene with either the lobster or lantern fish (forgot the real name) popping out.

  72. Tha Knock Knock is adorable…Elves poppong out with presents, Santa with treats, Mice with baked goods, Easter Bunny with rolling eggs, Mama bear with Baby popping out, dogs with cats.

  73. I don’t have any suggestions of my own, but I did like on of the commenters that suggested “knock, knock jokes”. That could be a lot of fun. Also, I always enjoy the projects done by the design team. There are always good ideas in those.

  74. This new interactive set can be used for so many different things! I love how Mindy used it hidden behind the pumpkin so it doesn’t necessarily have to be door-shaped.

  75. I love the holidays, so a Christmas themed knock knock card with the mice or Santa and the reindeer, or Santa and the elves!

  76. I am in love with the fall scenes and Knock Knock together. I think the first one I will try will be with the mice.

  77. I think this interactive die can be used in so many ways. How cute to have the trick or treating mice open the door and candy pops out, a birthday gift could pop out of the door, knock knock who’s there and owl pops out from treat cart with a cup of cocoa. So much fun!!!

  78. Love the hidden doors. So many cute scenes could be secretly discovered. Mice parents wrapping presents discovered by fam, monsters getting ready to spook with hair in curlers, robe, etc.

  79. I think it might be cute to have a little yellow brick road behind the door, or maybe have one of the critters in the desert-like the snake, that pop up behind it!

  80. This is SO CUTE! I think any or ALL the adorable Lawn Fawn Sets could find their way popping out from behind those doors! So versatile for all seasons and as Kelly said, “So Joyful!” Love It!

  81. I think I would use the rectangle door, decorate the front as a present and have a cute little critter behind the door.

  82. Lots of ideas for this… knock knock jokes, Owl’s house with Pooh visiting, squirrels’ home, trick or treating, fairy houses, Easter egg hunt. I’ll stop here so I can go watch the video now…

  83. This interactive die is so fun! It makes me smile so much especially combining the silly goose set. I wonder if I can use it with any of the LF house die sets. Hmmm… I’ll need to buy this set to find out 😁

  84. I watched this video the other night, and I can’t wait to play with the die. I can see the main dies being used for welcome home cards. The tree die . . . can’t wait to add some squirrels to that tree.

  85. I feel like you could decorate the tree different ways using older die sets. I would love to make a spooky tree and trick or treaters!

  86. This new interactive die is amazing! So many ideas swirling in my head! What can’t you use it with would be a better question. I am in love with your pandas so will likely try to incorporate it with them somehow!!!

  87. so many ideas, but I think it would be fun to incorporate the new die into a Christmas card – with Santa coming out of a door.

  88. This is going to be so cute with woodland critters like foxes and hedgehogs! But I can also see myself using this with fairies. It’s lovely!

  89. I’d like to make a character pop out of a pile of leaves or a “hillside” home… like a bear out of a den!
