Grace’s Thankful Platform Pop-Up Cards with a Beautiful Fall Theme

Make sure to join us for our next Create with Us LIVE mini class coming up in just two days! Jenn and I will create two adorable cards with Cheesy Christmas and chat about all things cardmaking! Check out the Create with Us page HERE to get all the details to craft along with us!

The fun starts at 4PM Pacific Time on Friday, November 8th HERE.

Grace is with us today to inspire us with beautiful Platform Pop-Up cards with a thankful theme! One wishes a happy Thanksgiving, and the other one is perfect for thanking a favorite teacher!

Grace used the cute Tiny Gift Box Peacock and Turkey Add-On to create the adorable turkey featured on both cards. She also used Sunflower Border, Fall Leaves Backdrop and Magic Iris Fall Leaves Add-On to fill the Platform Pop-Up. The die-cut pieces were cut from white cardstock and given their rich color with Lawn Fawn inks. Check out the supply list for the colors Grace chose.

For the Thanksgiving card, Grace added Stitched Pumpkins for the turkey to sit on. She cut this Platform Pop-Up from Falling Leaves Elm 12 x 12 paper.

To create the greeting, Grace used Peacock Ink to stamp happy from Big Scripty Words. She cut it out using the coordinating dies. Then she white embossed thanksgiving from Forest Feast on a kraft Fancy Wavy Banner.

For this sweet teacher card, Grace swapped out all but one of the pumpkins for a stack of books from Book Collection. She used Falling Leaves Maple 12 x12 paper for the Platform Pop-Up and the Platform Pop-Up Add-On.

Then she finished this card with a thoughtful message using All the Speech Bubbles and teacher from Thanks a Bushel. Next, she stamped grateful from Scripty Autumn Sentiments in Raspberry ink, combining it with another phrase from Scripty Autumn Sentiments and one from You Autumn Know.

Thank you so much for this lovely inspiration, Grace! I love the beautiful Fall theme!

Lawn Fawn Video {10.31.24} Mindy’s Spooky Book Collection Halloween Card

Make sure to save the date for our next Create with Us LIVE mini class! Join Jenn and I as we create with Cheesy Christmas and chat about all things cardmaking! The fun starts at 4PM Pacific Time on Friday, November 8th. We can’t wait!

Mindy is here with a clever Halloween design featuring Book Collection! You can watch the video tutorial below or click HERE to watch at our YouTube channel.

Thank you so much for watching!

Mindy used Book Collection to create a spooky Halloween scene! She cut the book dies from colored cardstock, then added shadows and shading with coordinate inks. Then she blended on a little Walnut ink to make them look old and worn.

For the background she started by stenciling a brick wall, adding a layer of Sweet Spiders webs to add to the eerie look. Then she added potion bottles from Purrfectly Wicked and a crow from Happy Harvest. She used the cute Fangtastic Friends Add-On bats and banner to add a greeting from Costume Party to finish her design!

Mindy used Olo alcohol markers to color all the images. Here she shows the color combinations.

Thank you so much for this fun Halloween inspiration, Mindy! I love how you made the books look spooky!

Mimi’s Halloween Card with Book Collection and Build-A-Cauldron

Today is the big day! Join Kelly and Jenn for Create with Us: Sweet Spiders and have a fun time of crafting and chatting! You will find all the information you need to join in the fun at the Create with Us page, HERE. See you TODAY at 4:00PM PT / 7:00PM ET on YouTube Live!

Mimi joins us today with an amazing design for Halloween! She combined Build-A-Cauldron with Book Collection to create a “spell-cial” card!

Mimi’s spooky scene features some fun and clever details along with the new Build-A-Cauldron and Book Collection! She started with Stitched Windy Backdrop cut from black canvas textured cardstock. She added some blended white pigment ink to add to the texture. You could use Lawn Fawn Yeti ink or Distress Oxide ink Picket Fence. Then she cut a piece of gray canvas cardstock for the ground. And finished the background by adding vellum Cute Cobwebs to the upper corners.

And then she prepped the Book Collection, cutting the books from white cardstock. She colored them with Copic markers and stamped spooky book titles from Purrfectly Wicked.

To create the bubbling potion in the cauldron, Mimi started with Pixie Dust Sparkle cardstock. She inked it with Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink, so perfect for a spooky potion. Then she tucked in some of the bats and eye of newt from Tiny Halloween. Mimi used the stitched rectangle found in the Magic Picture Changer Oven Add-On as the shelf/sentiment strip. So clever!

She created the jars using the paint jar from Art Supplies, coloring the lids to match the books. Then she used the tab die from Magic Iris Camera Pull-Tab Add-On to make a window. She backed the jars with another solid piece and added acetate to the window piece. Then she filled the labeled jars with eye of newt and bat wings. To create “frog breath” she used the coordinating die for the sparkle from Tiny Fairy Tale, cutting it from vellum. Then Mimi used additional stamps from Purrfectly Wicked to label the jars.

I love this clever card so much, Mimi! Thank you for the spooky inspiration!
