Catherine’s Safari-themed Platform Pop-Up Featuring It’s a Bird

Save the Date! A Fresh and Fun Create with Us LIVE class is coming your way this Friday! Get all the details HERE then join Jenn and I for all the Create with Us fun!

Catherine combined our new It’s a Bird with older critters sets to create the cutest safari-themed Platform Pop-Up card!

Our adventurous It’s a Bird mice are on safari in Catherine’s brilliant pop-up design! She filled the scene with animals from in Critters on the Savanna and Wild for You. And then she constructed the safari jeep with a Car Critters base and a Treat Cart canopy! I love the hand-drawn zebra stripes on the jeep! Such a clever idea!

Catherine used Platform Pop-Up Hillside Wrap Around and Platform Pop-Up Cloud Inserts along with tropical leaves to set the scene. She added the tree from Kanga-rrific Add-On for even more detail. And speaking of detail, I love how she fashioned a sign for the Hey Lady sentiment making a rustic woodgrain frame.

And there’s more interesting details! She used the round window from Mushroom House as the steering wheel. And she made the bench seat in the “jeep” with a speech bubble from A Birdie Told Me!

Thank you so much for this amazing inspiration, Catherine! It’s just so clever and creative!

First Saturday with Megan {5.1.21} Megan’s Wild Gate-fold Card

Happy First Saturday in May everyone! It’s also National Scrapbook Day so we hope you have fun paper-crafting plans for the day! Megan shares some adorable “First Saturday with Megan” inspiration to spark your creativity!

Megan cleverly turned the Shutter Card die on its side to create a super sized critter-filled scene! Without using the shutter pieces, she inked up a one-layer backdrop using Distress inks, Grassy Hillside and Grassy Stencil.

To fill this fun scene, Megan combined Critters on the Savanna, Wild for You, Elphie Selfie Flip-Flop and Big Thanks! She also used images from Mermaid for You, Toadally Awesome and Butterfly Kisses to add lots of detail!

For the front of the card, Megan gave the stitched panels lots of fun texture using Woodgrain Backdrop! The belly band features a little vignette with the giraffe from Wild for You on a Scalloped Circle!

Thanks so much for this brilliant inspiration, Megan!
