Chari has another installment of her popular seasonal Build-A-Cake series for you today! She shares three gorgeous holiday designs to inspire you! You can watch the video tutorial below or click HERE to watch at our YouTube channel.

Thank you so much for watching! To catch the whole series of Chari’s Build-A-Cake videos, click HERE for the playlist.

Traditional Christmas Cake

Chari used traditional Christmas colors to create a cake resembling a gift package! She topped it with Build-A-Christmas Tree and embellished it with Christmas Garland and a bow from Cute Candy Canes. She added a greeting from Winter Wavy Sayings on a Simple Wavy Banner.

Gingerbread Cake

This charming gingerbread cake features Sweet Christmas gingerbread “cookies” and sparkling Pixie Dust “icing” and snowflakes! The Quilted Diamond Backdrop and Shutter Card Holiday Sayings greeting finish this beautiful card!

Ugly Sweater Cake

For this card, Chari had an ugly sweater in mind, but it is anything but ugly! She stenciled the cake with Cozy Sweater Stencil before embellishing it with colorful lights from String of Lights Backdrop. The perfect cake topper is a trio of larger String of Lights bulbs, so clever! In the background, she stenciled with Snowflakes Stencil, and Mermaid ink, adding Fairy Dust Stencil Paste for more sparkle! “Be Merry” from Winter Big Scripty Words is such a cheery greeting!

Thank you so much for this amazing inspiration, Chari! I love your seasonal Build-A-Cake series!

Lawn Fawn Video {11.28.24} A Trio of Holiday Lights Cards with Chari

Happy Thanksgiving to our friends celebrating today! We are so thankful for all of our wonderful Lawn Fawn friends! We have a fun Thanksgiving surprise for you. Be sure to sign up for our newsletter (in the sidebar) to learn all about it later tonight!

Chari has a really fun video tutorial showing how she used our String of Lights sets on a trio of festive holiday cards! You can watch the video below or click HERE to watch at our YouTube channel.

Thanks so much for watching, I hope Chari’s designs inspire you!

For each of these festive designs, Chari started with Blue Jay cardstock that she splattered with white metallic paint. She used colorful rainbow light bulbs with white to pop against the dark blue background! Then she added sparkle with Mini Snowflakes cut from Pixie Dust Sparkle cardstock.

This merry design features String of Lights Backdrop with a gold sparkle Scripty Merry greeting! She layered the greeting on a vellum Scripty Merry Outline Add-On to create a pretty frame! All the rainbow colored bulbs are cut using String of Lights Backdrop Extra Bulbs Add-On.

This cheery card uses our original String of Lights set! The large bulbs are the perfect feature with Scripty Joy, Scripty Joy Outline Add-On and smaller lights from String of Lights Backdrop.

Chari was inspired by the Winter Lights at the North Carolina Arboretum to create her cards, especially this snowflake card! She used Mini String of Lights to add the colorful light bulbs to a Stitched Snowflake! Then she added the greeting with Henry’s ABCs and Silver Sparkle cardstock.

Thanks so much for inspiring us with your beautiful holiday lights cards, Chari!

Samantha closes out the Fawny Holiday Week videos with a beautiful Winter Birds design on a Platform Pop-Up! You can watch her video tutorial below or click HERE to watch at our YouTube channel.

Thank you so much for watching! We loved sharing all the holiday video tutorials with you!

Samantha got so creative to use the Platform Pop-Up Cloud Inserts to create the treetops! She stamped the Platform Pop-Up with Woodgrain Backdrops to look like the tree trunk. Then she dabbed on some white paint to look like snow on the tree, so perfect for the cute Winter Birds!

More Design Team Inspiration

Franci made a cute holiday design with a simple inked background. Then she filled the card with all the cuteness of Cheesy Christmas!

How adorable are these pink peppermint candies?! Jenn‘s pretty in pink holiday card features Peppermint Border with Peppermint Stripes Stencils. And the Ugly and Bright bear in his Christmas sweater adds so much charm!

Jenn added special touches with gold sparkle cardstock and of course, lots of glitter! There’s even more shine in the greeting with Winter Big Scripty Words Hot Foil Plates!

Karin‘s lovely card has a rustic feel with the Woodgrain cardstock background. She cut String of Lights Backdrop from Vanilla Malt cardstock. She used gold metallic watercolor paint to highlight the light bulbs and it’s such a great idea! Then she added cute birds from Happy Couples and a greeting from Merry Mice!

So much cleverness with Tammy‘s Coffee Cup Gift Card Holders! She turned them into the cutest snowmen with the help of scarves from Woodland Critter Huggers Winter Add-On and a turkey feather turned carrot nose!

I love that the coffee cup lid looks like a top hat for the snowmen! It’s the perfect place for a bit of holly and berries, also from Woodland Critter Huggers Winter Add-On. Tammy finished the look with various sizes of black circles for the eyes, mouth and buttons.
