Design Team Inspiration

The design team has made the most amazing samples! We also have two videos at the end showcasing lots of ways to use these cute new sets! Remember to click on the person’s name to see all of the details. And leave these wonderful DT girls some comment love!

Elena‘s adorable Father’s Day card combines cute dogs from Simply Celebrate Critters with Dad Jokes! She also used Giant Happy Dad’s Day in a unique way. She cut it apart and filled the space in between with the joking dogs! So cute! I love how she stenciled the Skinny Stripes in the background, it’s the perfect backdrop!

Latisha popped up the adorable border of cats with their coordinating sentiments from Simply Celebrate Critters. This fantastic clean and simple card only needed a cool Woodgrain textured background to make it absolutely perfect!

The recipient of this adorable card will definitely have a “mice” day! Megan‘s cheesy design is so perfect with the mice and their “earresistable” cuteness! She included extra mice and the wedge of cheese from Crazy Antics and Bubbles of Joy!

Megan’s card has a little secret that is so much fun! She did partial die-cutting to leave the cute mice as a border on a sheet of cardstock that tucks in behind the cheese panel. It’s the perfect place to leave a message.

Kara combined the row of birds with some “snort-worthy” Dad Jokes to make an amazing Father’s Day card! For the background she inked up a brick wall, then she added a woodgrain Stitched Rectangle Frame and Giant Happy Dad’s Day!

Mindy‘s card is so sweet and perfect for a special friend! She used the sweet bunnies and sentiments from both Simply Celebrate Critters and Simply Celebrate Critters Add-On. The Picket Fence and Grassy Border create a scene that is so adorable!

Grace‘s card features the row of dogs telling some classic Dad Jokes! I love how they are peeking over the fence to see their buddy from Say What? Pets on the other side! So adorable!

Marine‘s get well card is so creative and sweet! She arranged the row of cats in a window sending happy messages to their friend inside! Then she combined images from Meow You Doin’, Den Sweet Den and Virtual Friends Add-On to create a cozy scene. For the greeting she combined Henry’s ABCs with Smitty’s ABCs.

Tammy‘s Platform Pop-Up card stands tall with the Giant Happy Dad’s Day greeting! She created a charming design with Toadally Awesome and Don’t Worry, Be Hoppy! This happy card is so amazing!

The Simply Celebrate Critters pups are sending their best barks and woofs in this adorable design by Elise! She stenciled a “block” wall for them to hang out and added some sweet flowers to set the scene.

Mindy‘s Father’s Day card is so special! She started with Sunburst Backdrop inked and stenciled with our new Lots of Stars Background Stencils. Then she added Giant Happy Dad’s Day along with the trophy from All-Star, a cute mouse and the perfect sentiment from You Goat This!

The Simply Celebrate Critters bunnies and mice are busy telling Dad Jokes on Caly‘s adorable design! Her card is so clean and simple with just the addition of a pretty All the Dots paper to frame all the cuteness!

Audrey‘s Father’s Day card is so striking with its red and white stripes and bold Giant Happy Dad’s Day greeting! The addition of the Simply Celebrate Critters pups and sentiments makes this design extraordinary!

Tammy‘s brilliant football scene shows off the Simply Celebrate Critters so well! They fill the Stadium Seating to cheer on their teams!

  7. My sons favorite dad joke: “ Why did the teddy bear not eat his dessert?” “Because he is stuffed”

Love all of these! I thought the lemons were my favorite, but these critters stole my heart!

  8. I don’t have a joke on mind… But I love the ones from your card samples! Especially the one about the sleeping dinosaur 😀

  9. I love this cute little guys!

I tell dad jokes but I don’t have any kids, I’m a faux pa! 🤦‍♀️🤪🤣

  10. The only joke I know is a knock knock joke. “Knock, knock”. “Who’s there?” “Old lady”. “Old lady who?” “ oh, I didn’t know you could yodel”.

    1. Orange you glad I didn’t say banana??? I would roll my eyes so hard every time my dad went for that one!

  11. What do you call a chicken that crosses with a rooster?
    A chickador

I’m not really good at jokes so I had my little make one up. I love all oh these stamps! So excited to get to use them!

  12. I love these sets!
    Knock, knock.
    Who’s there?
    Little old lady.
    Little old lady who?
I didn’t know you could yodel!

  13. I don’t have a Dad joke but I am so excited for the simply critters stamp and die set. So far this is my favorite of the summer collection.

  14. My current boss tells dad jokes all the time. His current one is that he is living the dream, because a nightmare is still a dream.

  15. I love the dad jokes but I’m not very good at remembering them. These sets are awesome! Love them all!

  16. I love a great punny joke but don’t remember any that were favorites/standards of my dad or hubby.
This summer release has so many great new products and the design team samples have been great fun!

  17. I really don’t remember my dad joking much so I googled funny dad jokes and picked this one. When does a joke become a “dad joke?” When it becomes apparent. I’m truly digging these new stamp and die sets.

  18. It was fun reading through everyone’s Dad jokes, but I do not have any. I don’t find that my father or my husband tell any Dad jokes.

  19. A customer bee walks into a store. The customer bee says “i’m buying two book, may I get one free?” The merchant bee says ” Sure” and hands him a third book and says ” that one is a freebee

  20. Why did they build a fence around the cemetery? Because people were just dying to get in!

Side note, my 4 year old asked me to tell her a Mom joke the other day. I said that Mom jokes weren’t funny that’s why everyone tells Dad jokes. She insisted. I told her this “joke” that didn’t make any sense and she laughed. LOL! I said “no. It isn’t a funny joke!” Ha! What a nut!

  21. I love the little critters they are super adorable! Love all the awesome inspiration today for Father’s Day too!

  22. My husband is much better at dad jokes than I am. Our 20 year old daughter is pretty good at them, too. How about:
“Hi, Hungry, nice to meet you, I’m Dad.”

  23. One of my favs is what is black, white and red all over? A newspaper!
These critters are so stinkin’ cute!

  24. Oh my goodness these new goodies are so incredible!! I love the critters!

It’s truly funny how quickly my husband fell into the dad joke thing! Right now he and my daughter (13) are always laughing over the King of Queens opening song – “my back is getting tight” – because he’s 44 now and… yea. So every time he watches it they both yell that part. Doesnt sound all that funny (what dad jokes are haha) but it’s really amusing them!

  25. ” My wife is really mad at the fact that I have no sense of direction. So I packed up my stuff and right “. Really cute cards, lovely inspiration.

  26. I don’t have a favorite Dad joke. However I do like the small critter set. I am hoping that the set has some full size critters in it not just the critters looking over a wall.

  27. The jokes my Dads tell are too inappropriate to share!🤪 So I just luv these! They will so get a kick out of them too💚💚💚 great idea LF and amazing cards from the designers. Great release!!

  28. My dad was a very good storyteller, but I don’t remember him ever telling jokes. Really like the cards

    “June bugs.”

  34. All those jokes shared here cracked me up! Me being german I didn’t know any of those! We have tons of those in german as well, but they all don’t make any sense when translated. We love to tell them each other in the family and always have a good laugh – or a big eye roll – over them.

Love how you used them in a stamp set – and I guess with the comments here you’ll have tons for several Add-On sets!

  35. What’s Brown and Sticky? A STICK!
What do you call a fish with 2 knees? a Two-Knee Fish!!!

  79. Great cards ! I love the critters lined-up, it’s really a good idea.

I know only jokes in French and it’s impossible to translate them, they lose all their humor.

  80. These stamps are so creative and cute!!!! My husband’s puns are groaners 🙂 Although right now I can’t think of one.

  81. How many telemarketers does it take to change a light bulb? Only one, but he has to do it during dinner.

This release is killing me! The dad jokes set is not what I expected but they are definitely what I need!

    Love these celebration critters!

  103. I read every single dad joke on here! Picked up some new ones to tell my kids! LOL
I didn’t see this one: Why don’t cows like cars? They’re afraid they might end up on the grill!
Can’t wait for the full release tomorrow!!

  104. Why are bakers so rich? They make so much dough. I took this one from the internet, but my dad was a teacher and when students asked him if they could go to the bathroom- he would say I don’t know can you?
That made me laugh when I was a kid!

Love these critters, definitely going in my cart!!!

  105. Loving these sets. Hope you do more of them. My dad didn’t do dad jokes at least not that I remember.

  106. My dad did not tell silly and or corny jokes, he DID however, make up goofy songs. This one part I remember fondly, 🎶🎵”…don’t step on my tutu, don’t step on my tutu..”🎶🎵 He would always make it up due to something I was doing or should NOT be doing. 😂
And when he wasn’t making up some silly song he would correct my grammar. He’d say, “I don’t know, can you…? ,” or “don’t say I am so mad, because mad means crazy, say I am so upset”. And my favorite is, “the world is not always fair Elizabeth, the sooner you learn this, the better off you will be”. Great dad additions to the Lawn Fawn family!😍

Dad: There’s great food, but no atmosphere.

  111. Why do elephants paint their toenails red? So they can hide in apple trees.. Soooo bad!! Love the inspiration today!

  112. I dont have to many jokes but my husband tried this one on our kids. How many apples grow on a tree? All of them!
He thought it was funny because we have apple trees!

  113. I can’t wait to get my hands on these sets! I don’t know any dad jokes but my dad has a great sense of humour – and so does my husband

“Singing in the shower is fun until you get soap in your mouth. Then it’s a soap opera.”

  120. I am HORRIBLE at all jokes, and certainly don’t know any “dad” jokes… but I’m loving the ones I’m reading here! 🙂

  121. I don’t remember my dad telling dad jokes. My husband would attempt to make the silliest things a joke by saying, “it was a pun”. But they are never puns; he doesn’t know what a pun is.

  122. I’m not great on remembering jokes the ones I do are already listed above!
The last joke my dad said to me was 3 days before he passed away on May 19, 1985!
    I can’t believe it’s 38 yrs. ago! 💔
Thanks, Lawn Fawn, for celebrate critters & happy to see a row of mice! 🐭🐭🐭🐭🐭

    Me: M-ss-ss-pp (feeling quite proud)
