Design Team Inspiration

The design team has made the most amazing samples! Remember to click on the person’s name to see all of the details and then leave these wonderful DT girls some comment love!

Mindy‘s pocket full of sunflowers is so beautiful! She layered two sets of petals to create lots of dimension on her Sunny Sunflowers before tucking them into the Money Pocket. With paper from Falling Leaves and a lovely sentiment from Scripty Autumn Sentiments this is a perfect card for Fall!

It’s no wonder that Chari loves our new You Crow Girl set! Our original Happy Harvest scarecrow is a special favorite of hers! Here she paired the cute scarecrow and the little crow with Leafy Tree Backdrop: Portrait, Stitched Rounded Rectangle Stackables and Falling Leaves papers.

The Sunflower Border is a gorgeous accent on Marine‘s adorable Veggie Happy card!

She used the two sizes of sunflowers from the Happy Harvest set to create a fun Fall gardening scene!

Chari‘s lovely card features Sunny Sunflower and Scripty Autumn Sentiments. I love how she framed the flowers in a Secret Garden Window. She also added interest by cutting the flower petals from Falling Leaves 6×6 paper. Then she used the 12×12 Falling Leaves paper to continue the plaid pattern in the background.

Grace shows us that Sunny Sunflower pairs perfectly with the Watering Can! She added a stenciled background and sweet message from Long Distance Hugs to create a gorgeous card. But wait, there’s more!

On the inside, Grace used more Sunny Sunflowers and Sunflower Border blooms to create an interactive element with our new Swivel Surprise! Wow, so stunning!

You Crow Girl works so well with the Happy Harvest sunflowers, crows and pumpkins. Tammy created an adorable friendship card with the new little overall-wearing mouse that accompanies You Crow Girl. She also used Little Farm Fence Border and Grassy Border to fill in her design!

Latisha created a stylized floral design using Sunny Sunflower and bold color! She arranged the colorful flowers in a neutral-colored barrel from Build-A-Barrel: Apple, putting the focus on the flowers. With a charming sentiment and a Black Hemp Twine bow this card will make anyone smile!

It was bound to happen! Chari combined both our cute scarecrows to create one very special card! Happy Harvest and You Crow Girl are a perfect pair!

I love that our Sunny Sunflower can take center stage on a beautiful, simple card! Here, Elise arranged three sunflowers in a pretty grouping on a blue Falling Leaves background. Then all she needed was the perfect Henry Jr.’s ABCs greeting!

Sunflower Border is so perfect with the cuteness that is You Crow Girl! Chari combined them with Falling Leaves and Pint-Sized Patterns Summertime papers to send some Long Distance Hugs!

Mindy used the single flowers in the Sunflower Border set to create a delightful grid of pretty blooms! Then she added a simple greeting from Long Distance Hugs to complete her lovely card!

Megan used the height of a tall slimline card to arrange her Sunny Sunflowers in a vertical grouping! She placed the stems in a mason jar from How You Bean? before tying on a tiny tag with Coral Hemp Twine! So pretty!

Audrey’s little decor piece is so special! She cut the Sunny Sunflower from felt so she could stitch together the pretty flowers! Such a great idea!

The Sunny Sunflowers look so amazing in the Build-A-Drink Mason Jar Add-On! Chari created a Mini Slimline card with two pretty sunflowers and a Scripty Thanks greeting!

Mindy paired You Crow Girl with Happy Harvest in a lovely Fall scene! In addition to the scarecrows, she added the little mouse from You Crow Girl and another mouse from You Autumn Know. Then she used Picket Fence Border with the sunflowers and cornstalks from Happy Harvest! It’s so “a-maizing”!

It’s time for back to school and happy Fall greetings! Chari‘s pretty card captures both with our Sunflower Border, Book Collection and Giant Happy Fall!

  1. Sunflowers are gorgeous! But why not combine them with chrysanthemum for a beautiful Fall bouquet? I love them as well. Thanks for the inspiration for today!

  2. My favorite fall bloom is a sunflower. I love to add them to a bouquet of dahlias. The new sunflower products will be so fun to use on cards.

  3. I enjoy most flowers, but sunflowers are probably one of my faves—they are cheerful and always brighten a room. Love all of the card designs!

  4. I absolutely love sunflowers in the fall but I also love seeing all the big pots of mums on everyone’s porch.

  5. I am not exactly sure what fall flowers are, but I love dahlias. I also love any summer flowers that still hang on into fall- like my marigolds and begonias. So pretty!!

  6. O.MY.GOODNESS!!! I could not just pick one card from today’s inspiration! I absolutely loved all of them! I could not just pick one or two! I love sunflowers, too in the fall and chrysanthemums but my favorite is sunflower.

  7. I hope Kelly, Chari, and Rebecca get well soon! I love bright, colorful flowers like snapdragon, pansies, and petunias

  8. Don’t really have a favourite flower from autumn, but I guess it is sunflower now after seeing the release!🌻 😍

  10. I love the leaves, the changing colours. Although I love pumpkins. We don’t go as big here in the UK but we do display them on 31st for trick or treaters.

  11. While I do love sunflowers, my favorite part of fall is the changing colors emergence on sugar maple trees. I have a sugar maple in my front yard, so I get a front row seat every year to watch it “bloom.”

  12. Fall is my favorite season and sunflower are my flowers! They go together so beautifully. You crow girl is adorable, can’t wait to get mine

  13. Sunflowers and hibiscus are my favorite fall flowers. Really like the felt sunflowers in this post. Great idea!

  14. I love everything about fall! Mums are probably the flower I associate most closely with that time of year.

  15. I love Asters – The blue ones are so different and spectacular in the Fall! Bonus that they are perennials! My daughters favorite is Sunflowers! Lovely set!!

  16. My favorite Fall Flowers are sunflowers (they’re growing in my back patio area) and Milkweed because it feeds the bees. 🐝 It’s fun to watch them buzz around daily.

  17. I love the beautiful variety of color in fall mums, but sunflower my absolute favorite. I am thrilled about the new sunflower border. Love how well all these products pair with existing product.

  18. I think I would have to agree that sunflowers are my favorite fall flower. One summer, a few years ago, my daughter and I visited a sunflower farm in August and it was spectacular. This blog post reminded me about that and I’m thinking I’m gonna go see about visiting again this year!

  19. I live in the sunflower state – I don’t think I can say my favorite fall flower is anything other than sunflowers! These dies are so cute!!

  20. I am not a flower person. But liking the sunflower border. Can’t wait to see the new swivel die in action!

  21. My favourite fall flowers (couldn’t pick just one) are cosmos and sunflowers. These are a nice addition to my flower die collection.

  22. Not to be repetitive of this post, but it is definitely sunflowers 🌻🌻🌻 my mum always buys me sunflowers for my birthday and calls me her sunflower girl because she remembers seeing sunflowers everywhere when she came home from the hospital with me.

  23. I have always loved me some mums in the fall, they are plenty and colorful for fall! (but those giant sunflowers have a special place in my heart also 😉)

  24. All my favorite flowers are spring flowers or early summer. I think my favorite fall ones would have to be mums since they come in so many colors and go great with the changing leaves and other fall decorations.

  25. I love all flowers, but I never thought of them as seasonal. Of course they are, but I’m always so happy to see them—truly. Sunflowers make me happy, the way they turn to the sun. I love ginger, proteas, and orchids because they feel exotic. Peonies because they feel special. Roses, anytime. Oh, and narcissus and tulips because they’re not fussy. Oh, and the dahlias are currently blooming.

  26. I love sunflowers! My husband and I just got back from Europe where we saw field after field of sunflowers. They grow them to make sunflower oil.

  27. I also love sunflowers. I love how they follow the sun taking in its rays and turning its loveliness skyward.

  28. My fave Fall flowers are definitely sunflowers! They come in so many colors – the sunset colors are gorgeous! Really love the Elves Blend as well – they are great for container gardening as they don’t get very tall. And I have even seen fluffy Teddy Bear sunflowers! So cute!

  29. I love sunflowers and usually plant some in my garden. This year I didn’t, but a couple of “volunteers “ popped up! They’re such a happy flower and they make me smile everyday when I water.

  30. My favorite fall flower is also sunflowers. They always brighten up a gloomy day. I love the You crow girl stamp sets. I can use her with so many of the other sets. Definitely my favorite so far. Hope everyone is on the mend over there. ❤️

  31. Love all the new sunflowers!! And the crow girl is adorable!!! So many cute designs!! Sunflowers are also my favorite fall flower.

  32. Besides sunflowers, I love the big spider Chrysanthemum in the fall. Especially the yellow ones you see a lot in homecoming corsages

  33. My favorite fall flowers are purple cone flowers. I love the way they hang down their petals, and I have never been able to duplicate that interesting color of purple.

  34. I love a garden of fall flowers almost as much as spring. My garden is full of zinnia, cone flowers, sunflowers and lots of others.

  35. I sure do see a lot of things that are going to be on my “need” list! My favorite fall flowers are mums. I love that they come in a variety of fall colors.

  36. I will pick sunflowers for a fave fall flower, especially after seeing these great examples! I also love the scarecrow girl. More Lawn Fawn to love.

  37. LOVE the sunflowers and “You Crow Girl” !!!!!!!!!! Fall is around the corner and I love the colors and cooler temps!!!!
Yea for the Fall inspiration ideas!!!!!!!

  38. I prefer heathers for fall but they are not available at this time of year where I now live so I use mums for fall nowadays.

  39. Ive bee patiently waiting for You Crow Girl to be released. Now her & Happy Harvest is a couple! 💚💚

  40. My favorite is definitely a sunflower. I have always loved them. These cards are so adorable and make me so excited for Fall. I just got the Happy Harvest set so I am very excited to get the Crowgirl set. I hope that there is a class coming with this new set. Every card by the design team is amazing.

  41. My craft room is sunflowers & bees, so–you guessed it!–my favorite fall flowers are definitely sunflowers!

  42. I love all the sunflower goodies and the fact we now have a scarecrow girl! I do love sunflowers and my second favorite is mums!

  43. Dahlias are one of my favorite flowers. I also love roses which are year round where I live. I love sunflowers too and love these dies! I especially love the sunflower border are small dies!

  44. Absolutely the most amazing dies and stamps…love the sunflowers so much…my favorites! Gotta get these! Congrats Lawn Fawn for this release and awesome inspiration!

  45. It is hard to know what counts as a fall flower, since we can get away with growing a lot of things successfully year around where I live. I am not a fan of sunflowers in real life, though the new sunflower die is fun! I prefer coneflowers or echinacea, which are similar but make less mess.

  46. I love sunflowers they are by far my favorite fall flower and fall is my favorite season! I love using sunflowers on cards so pretty! 🌻

  47. I am loving all of the cards made by the design team. I just love those scarecrows and mice! My favorite fall flower is the sunflower. I grew up in Kansas and the sunflower is their state flower. We we would go visit family in another town, we would drive by tons of fields of sunflowers. They were so pretty, bright and cheerful. I miss seeing them.

  48. Not a huge fan of mums, but do love the look of sunflowers. My niece has them for her wedding flower. I always think of her when I see sunflower cards.

  49. I love my encore azaleas that bloom in the fall as well as sunflowers, like everyone else… but my favorite flowers are peonies and irises!

  50. Believe it or not but my roses bloom like crazy in the fall. Beautiful colors! If leaves were flowers I’d pick them! Lol!

  51. I feel like I’ve been waiting years for a gal scarecrow to pal up with Happy Harvest! I’m so excited ……it is the year of the woman – ha!!! Can’t wait to grab her.

  52. I’ve never thought of flowers as seasonal but love the clippings added to make things fall. We live in Southern California where you really have to dress the seasons….I love wheat stems or those round, brown, seed pods that have holes to make bouquets look like fall. Throw in a stem of fall leaves it sets the stage…..

  53. Sunflowers are my favorite! I have lots of them planted in my garden! They have been blooming for weeks and will bloom till it frosts.

  54. While I do love the sunny bright hopeful warm sunflower, I would have to say that my favorite fall flower is a snap dragon! My Pampaw (Grandpa) used to sit us kids on his knee and gently squeeze them to make them talk! Thanks for the writing prompt for this post, the memory is leaving me with a smile today. <3

  55. The Sunflower is my favorite fall flower. Love the “You Crow Girl” stamp set, already added to my wish list!

  56. Sunflowers are always a fall favorite. I also enjoy my roses which will bloom until it frosts here in mid to late November.

  57. OMG the sunflowers are just so 😍 i love the borders-what a gorgeous idea that i can see being so flexible!
Sunflowers are definitely up there with my fav autumn flowers, but really I just everything i can get to grow!
Congrats guys this is a brilliant release so far, and i do really hope everyone is on the mend.

  58. I don’t really know which flowers bloom in autumn here in Australia … so I’ll go with sunflowers!
    gorgeous projects from the DT!

  59. I also LOVE sunflowers, they are the best fall flower! So beautiful and big and nutritious. A perfect flower!

  60. My favorite fall flower is the mum, they come in all the beautiful colors of fall and they are easy to grow.

  61. These are not autumn flowers but they are the only ones I have ever been able to keep alive orchids and peace lilies.

    1. Loving all the Sunflower goodness. I also love Mums too – fall flowers are so beautiful!!!! Hope everyone is on the mend!!!

  62. I don’t really know what is considered a ‘fall flower’ – esp since I live somewhere that doesn’t have a ‘fall’ season. However, all flowers are pretty to me, so I am not sure I would have an easy time picking one anyways.

  63. Mums in a variety of colors are really pretty but sunflowers are amazing! Can’t wait to get the big one and eventually the border too! My wish list is growing faster than my budget!

  64. As I love in Australia (sunny Queensland) we don’t really have much of a ‘fall’ season. One of my favourite flowers though are carnations, though I do like a sunny sunflower too 🌻

  65. Sunflowers. When I was younger my family would take vacations in the fall to visit relatives. My great uncle was a farmer and would plant sunflowers on a big section. It was so beautiful to drive over the hill and see a field of sunflower rolling along the drive to the house.

  66. These are so fun! I agree, sunflowers are my favorite fall flower. I love their big leaves and gorgeous sunny flowers.

  67. I think I’d have to say mums, although in PA where I live, Monk’s Hood (aconitum) blooms in Sept. Mine is not nearly as tall as it was last year (this year it’s only about 40″ high) but it blooms the most gorgeous shade of bluey-purple. It’s just not very common to see in yards/ gardens. So I would go with mums…. BUT I do love a sunflower as well!
    Lori S in PA
    p.s. FEEL BETTER, all!

  68. My favorites are also sunflowers! It’s like you read my mind with this release-sunflowers and books? I want it all!!! 🙂

  69. We don’t really have fall flowers in the UK, more falling leaves which change colour, reminiscent of New England!

  70. My favorite fall flowers are mums. I love to pair them with pumpkins to make a fall porch display. I love You Crow Girl, it’s so cute used with Happy Harvest!

  71. My fave thing about fall is the colorful leaves! I also enjoy those crisp cool mornings and warm afternoons 🙂 Halloween and Thanksgiving are some of my fave holidays as well!

  72. I’m from Vermont, we don’t have many fall flowers, but boy we have leaves galore, in many colors. My mom just started card making about a year and a half ago, she is 78, you would never know it. She loves sunflowers. She will love these products.

  73. I just love mums. I can’t grow them because my soil is mostly clay, but I like how they look in other yards.

  74. Hmmm, I hope I’m not a nay sayer here, but. my favorite fall flower is definitely the mum. We get them in fall colors and my mom would always buy potted mums to decorate the front porch!

  75. I love pansies because they lstand up to colder weather and usually last me the whole season – I also love the variety of colors.

  76. I adore all these sunflowers!!! They just make me so happy, cheerful and optimistic! My other autumnal favorite is a chrysanthemum! So pretty and fun to say!! Have a happy sunflower day, Lawn Fawn and Friends!

  77. I am most definitely a sunflower girl. Something about sunflowers in the fall and daisies in the summer. It must be the bright yellow, because I love daffodils in the spring. And oddly – yellow is not my favorite color.

  78. My favorite fall flowers are sunflowers (although I love hydrangea blooms in the fall when they change colors).

  79. I love the sunflowers!! My lovely step mother in law loves them so I hope to use these to make her more cards with them soon!!

  80. More a spring & summer flower person but sunflowers are really the best among the fall flowers, giving a bright and vibrant vibe in the cozy, golden season.

  81. I am a huge fan of sunflowers too! They grow wild in my neighbors yard and I get to see them everyday! 🌻 😊

  82. Love all the sunflowers!! I have no idea what exactly are all fall flowers.. but I live in the Colorado mountains and our Aspen trees are stunning!! I’ll go with those as my faves!!

  83. I never know which flowers come when. My favorite flowers are pansies and Iris. The school kids have planted sunflowers in the garden across the street from my house and they are nice to look at from a distance.

  84. My favorite fall “flower” is pumpkin! I LOVE pumpkins to eat, to decorate with, to look at, to color with markers. In a sense it is the flower of the vine but pumpkins are vegetables once they grow. My second favorite are apples! Fall is the best time of year!

  85. Now I did look it up, because I am not all that into flowers but my favorite is a daisy and there is a lovely fall daisy. The one I saw was a lovely purple orange.

  86. I love mums! Every year on Labor Day my mom and I go shopping for mums and switch out the flower pots on the porch!

  87. Deffo sunflowers! Me and my sister went the other year to pick our own and they became a firm favourite and I get some every year now!

  88. Sunflowers are my favorite. Theyre so big and filled with happy, warm tones in the petals.
I have some artificial ones in a metal watering can my mum had decorated with sunflowers, so I can have them at the window to enjoy all year.

  89. When I was little we had a giant sunflower in the backyard that seemed scary to me as a kid! But I’ve grown to like sunflowers made out of paper!

  90. My favorite flower is a black eyed susan, which I guess is kind of like a miniature sunflower, lol. I’m loving this sunflower die!

  91. Yes, definitely sunflowers for a favourite fall flower! So bright and cheery they make you forget that winter is coming!!! lol Can’t wait to play with these amazing products. Thanks for all the amazing projects shown here–so much inspiration and creativity!!!!! Hope everyone is feeling much better!!!!
