Design Team Inspiration

The design team has made the most amazing samples! We also have a video at the end showcasing some fun ways of using all these new goodies! Remember to click on the person’s name to see all of the details and then leave these wonderful DT girls some comment love!

Tammy‘s slimline card is so amazing! She combined Build-A-Bunny and Build-A-Critter Costumes to create the cutest little witch! And then she built a fun scene with Build-A-Cauldron and Book Collection. She added so many fun and spooky details including the frog from Stitched Pond Frame who’s wearing a witch hat from Tiny Gift Box Holiday Hats Add-On. There are also ghosts, bats and a spider web from Build-A-House Halloween Add-On!

Elena‘s tags are so creative! She used Shadow Box Card Halloween Add-On to add the cobweb detail. Then she dressed up Build-A-Bunny in cute superhero, fairy and pirate costumes. She found “trick or treat” in the new Henry’s Build-A-Sentiment: Fall to stamp on Simple Wavy Banners.

Lynnette added costume hats to the pumpkins from Build-A-Jack ‘O Lantern and it’s so cute! They look so scary in a scene created with Spooky Forest Backdrop!

Elise created a trio of trick or treating bunnies with Build-A-Critter More Costumes! The fairy, ghost and superhero are carrying cute pumpkin buckets from Build-A-Critter Costumes.

Audrey‘s ghost is so “boo-tiful”! The Spooky Forest Backdrop and Nighttime Sky stenciling create the perfect scene for this adorable little ghost! I love all the colorful candies in the pumpkin bucket! So cute!

Yainea created beautiful texture on the Build-A-Jack ‘O Lantern pumpkins. And the costumed bunny looks so cute popping out! Her background is so pretty with Woodgrain Stencil behind a circle stenciled with Lots of Stars.

Melissa combined the cute ghost with the witch hat for even more fun! I love the cloudy background and sparkly Stitched Rectangle Frame! The cute greeting is from the new Henry’s Build-A-Sentiment: Fall.

Grace‘s delightful card is a perfect example of how to use these new costume sets all year round. Using Build-A-Critter More Costumes she created a sweet Tooth Fairy! I love how she used the apples from Knock Knock Who’s There Tree Add-On as teeth filling the Reveal Wheel Spring Basket Add-On. I love the pastel rainbow inked Sunburst Backdrop and vellum Puffy Cloud Borders.

Latisha‘s ghost is so adorable even without the bunny inside! This cute design features Cloudy Stencil, Spiderweb Backdrop and Little Farm Fence with a fun pink and orange color palette.

Our guest designer combined the cute witch with Build-A-Cauldron, Spiderweb Backdrop and Build-A-Jack ‘O Lantern to “witch” you a Happy Halloween!

Mindy‘s Autumn card is so beautiful! She used lovely color on the Fall Leaves Backdrop and sunflowers framing the little Build-A-Bunny fairy! She used Autumn Breeze Stencil in the background and the new Build-A-Jack ‘O Lantern. The bunny is so cute popping out of the pumpkin.

  1. I would love to see a dog critter – maybe a variety of dies that create different breeds of dog. And more costumes, please! Love this new release so far.

  2. I think the next critter should be a Lawn Fawn mouse. And also I would like a princess costume with your next costume add-on.

  3. I love that our sweet bunnies get to dress up in costumes! I would love to see a cat, dog or mouse!

  4. A racoon would be super cute. They already come with their own mask, but need some costumes to complete their outfit.

  5. I know you didn’t ask for costume ideas but a
doctor/nurse would be cute and could be used to thank our healthcare professionals or could be used for a get well card!!

  6. I love the build a bunny, and these costumes are the cutest! I it would be awesome to have a Zebra build a critter set. So many options!

  7. These costumes are adorable! It’d be fun to see some Christmas or birthday add ons, or add ons where the bunny can resemble other cute animals(dressing it up as a penguin for example) Cats, mice, raccoons, penguins sound fun for other build a critters.

  8. A dog, cat, bear, fox would all be cute. Also add-on of winter clothes like boots, jacket, mittens sweater and beanie for winter cards would be awesome.

  9. Bears are my universally round and cuddly go to critters! They are instantly recognizable as trustworthy characters, whether they are built as grizzlies, black bears, sun bears, or pandas. They could even be “Teddies!”

  10. Would love to see a bear – so many possibilities – black bear, brown bear, panda bear, polar bear. Love these adorable costumes and hoping they’ll work with future build-a-critter releases. Adorable design team projects.

  11. I love making cards for people at work, and our mascot is the penguin, so I would LOVE a penguin so I could make cute penguin cards for my coworkers!

  12. I think for a critter, I would love to see a Bear. But on a side note, I would love to see the “Friends” as Build A Friend so we can dress up the little people like we did with paper dolls 🙂

  13. All of these bunnies are so adorable in their little costumes! I would love all of the animals, but an elephant would be super fun

  14. My favorite critter is a mouse! 💗🐭💗
    A squirrel, deer, & sea critters! 🐿🦌🐬
I would love to see a Santa Clause, Mrs. Clause that changes into Elves’s! 💗
A girl & boy that can be turn into a mermaid, merman & king Neptune of the sea! 💗

  15. As someone else mentioned, just have a set of interchangeable heads, feet and tails but make all the clothes and costumes fit so you can mix and match!

  16. I love these costume add-ons for the bunny. A chinchilla would be really awesome but probably unknown to most ppl. So I think a dog, cat, and bear would be cute!

  17. I’d like a cat , which could also be a skunk!
Or a bigger dog like a golden doodle or something like that.
A horse would work for a zebra and a unicorn too

  18. a mouse, bear, or dog (GOLDEN RETRIEVER, LOL) would coordinate with all the costumes.
    Chari’s cityscape is AMAZING!!

  19. This question has limited possibilities. i would love a reindeer, pumpkin, ghost, cat, Halloween cat, and so many others. You all come up with some of the greatest ideas. I am sure we will all get what we want eventually. The creations in today’s post are amazing. Love them so much.

  20. I always have to go with a dog or a cat, but maybe jungle animals would be fun. A giraffe, elephant, hippo.

  21. I know this’ll sound strange but I think a Yak and also a Yak set would be just hysterical… I mean a YAK just makes you smile!

  22. I would love to see a mice added to build a critter. Those mice are just so cute and they always have great adventures to make and explore

  23. That’s a tough question because I don’t make a lot of Halloween cards. I’d like costumes/accessories for all the littler critters like mice, bunnies, fish, cats and frogs. I don’t have any larger critters!

  24. A cat, dog and mouse would be great. A bear that could be a panda, a polar bear, or a brown bear would be nice. Maybe a deer that could be dressed for Christmas.

  25. A cat and a dog would be great. Maybe they could be made of one basis die? And a bear that can be turned in a panda.

  26. The bunny ghost makes me smile so much when I look at it. It’s just so cute! I’m a dog lover, so I would like to see a dog set. Also, a sheep would be cute too. 💕

  27. Bears and cats are some of me and my family’s fav animals, so please add those to dress up in the adorable costumes! 😍😺🐻

  28. I would like to see the critters: cat, deer, dog, and MOUSE!

Costumes: Santa, Mrs Claus, elf, cowboy, firefighter, police officer, and clown.

  29. Oh my . . . a new critter? A bear would be optimal for a three in one . . . polar, brown or black bear. But I could see a fox or deer being adorable as well. Dog and cat? Oh my – don’t ask me to choose.

  30. I would like to see a Lawn Fawn Build-A-Fawn with costumes we can use throughout the year. That would be awesome to have your mascot! 💖
I love previous mentioned ideas, too. Cat, Cow, Mouse, Bear. I would love a Dragon costume. 💖

  31. Well, I’ll be!!! How do you keep coming up with these amazing ideas???? Thank you so much for always adding on to what we already have–new is wonderful but to be able to use it with what we have is amazing!!! I would love to see a dog and a bear added to the critter lineup for costumes!!!!
