Design Team Inspiration

The design team has made the most amazing samples! We also have a video at the end showcasing some fun ways of using all these new goodies! Remember to click on the person’s name to see all of the details and then leave these wonderful DT girls some comment love!

Megan‘s Christmas Stocking design is so stunning! She colored the stocking and the cute Build-A-Critter Christmas Accessories goodies, giving them so much detail! And then she added pretty greenery from Shadow Box Card Fireplace Add-On!

And then she added the stocking to an interactive Pull ‘n Slide Surprise card so she could highlight sentiments from Big Messages: Christmas! I love how she white embossed “deck the halls” adding white pencil so it looks like chalkboard art! And another awesome detail is the shiny gold Mini Picture Frame!

Tammy‘s Christmas Stocking design is so delightful with our cute Build-A-Snowman! The Nordic Snowflake Border looks great as a simple border but it’s so amazing filling a background!

Audrey‘s String of Lights stenciled design is so colorful! It’s simply beautiful with only needing a heartfelt sentiment from Henry’s Build-A-Sentiment: Winter and some Mini Snowflakes!

Latisha‘s gold metallic Christmas Stocking is so elegant! She added even more shiny gold with All the Sparkles paper and the gift packages from Build-A-Critter Christmas Accessories! And then she included the cute sentiment from Cozy Cats Christmas Add-On!

Elena showed off some clever creativity transforming our Build-A-Fox into one of Santa’s helpers with the help of Build-A-Critter Christmas Accessories! Then she tucked him into the Christmas Stocking decorated with hearts and hand-drawn dot detail, so adorable!

I love the muted look of the stenciled String of Lights in the background of this festive design! And all the fun holiday color in the Christmas Stocking is so cheery!

Melissa used Nordic Snowflake Border to create a backdrop that is so festive for the holidays! It’s the perfect way to highlight the cute Christmas Stocking! Then she framed her design with a Reverse Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Window and stripey All the Sparkles paper.

Grace took advantage of the extra room on her tall slimline card to feature two Christmas Stocking designs! There’s even room for Giant Be Merry! I love how she added pretty pattern in the background with the Cozy Sweater Stencil!

Grace added so many clever details! In this stocking the little fox is holding a shiny gold jingle bell while sparkly “pom poms” hang from the stocking!

This cutie holds a glittery star while wearing an elf hat! Grace also used holly from Cute Candy Canes to fill the stockings with pretty color.

The Build-A-Snowman looks so happy in Lynnette‘s Christmas Stocking! Her joyful design also features Giant Be Merry and Christmas Garland greenery!

Chari‘s Christmas card is so festive combining String of Lights Background Stencils and Giant Be Merry! I love how she added the jingle bells from the Christmas Stocking for some extra cheer!

Tammy‘s Christmas Stocking is so adorable! She filled it with the cutest Build-A-Fox, along with Merry Mistletoe and a candy cane from Build-A-Critter Christmas Accessories!

Rebecca filled the Christmas Stocking with Cute Candy Canes and Peppermint Border candies!

  1. I try to find a fruit we haven’t tried yet, and put it in the stockings; I also put in some nuts like pistachios, a couple of pieces of candy, and a small gift or 2.

  2. We don’t have a stocking tradition in the Netherlands, but I would fill it with all kinds of small presents collected throughout the year!

  3. Fruit, nuts, and of course chocolate 😊. Maybe some Lawn Fawn goodies 👏
So many wonderful new ideas and products!

  4. As was traditional in my house, my mother filled my stocking with dried fruit, sweets, and colorful, cheerful stationery. Now I do the same for my grandchildren.

  5. Now that my kids are grown, I put gift cards for gas and their favorite fast food places in their stockings, along with some of their favorite candy.

  6. We don’t actually have Christmas stockings, but we get St. Nikolaus to visit on the night to December 6th. If you have been good, you get candy in your shoes. If not, you get coal or a rod… I sure hope to get candy!

  7. I am absolutely in love with this release 😍 we don’t really do much for Christmas but I used to love finding little quirky gifts in my stocking, and of course chocolates!

  8. Little gifts and chocolates. I help run a food pantry and we make up160 atockibga for our pantry guests kids and give them out the two weeks before Christmas.

  9. Our family’s stocking stuffing tradition included: toothbrush, gum, orange tic-tac candy, warm socks, Whitman’s chocolate, an orange, peanuts, lifesaver candy book, shower scrubby, and a few other individual favorites.

  10. Filling stockings is one of my favourite traditions at Christmas! I like filling them with little treats and presents that the recipients would liove. My cat also loves her stocking filled with treats! ❤️

  11. My family always have stocking hung on the mantel until Christmas eve!
On Christmas day it’s filled with candy, socks, small gifts, an ornament for
the tree, & one very special gift! 💖

  12. Our stockings are always filled with small items, tooth brush and paste, chocolates, gum, and lotto tickets. Always first to open

  13. We still use the stockings I made for my babies that are now 33&35. The goodies have changed over the years. Now days it’s more things they may need. The stockings are huge—my 7 month old at the time fit in it.

  14. We have always gotten an orange and a small box of cereal for Christmas morning in our stockings, so I continued the tradition with my kids.

  15. Tradition of putting in an orange (like what the early settlers did). With my husband’s stocking I try to add things like a new golf glove, golf tees and usually a subscription to his favorite team (The Ohio State Buckeyes) sports newspaper.

  16. We find little things that the recipient might want or need such as headphones, lip balm, pez candy, chocolate candy for my daughter and sour candies for my son in law, maybe a small gadget or tool.

  17. Our boys are all grown and one has added a beautiful wife to our family. Our stockings are a mix of traditional things (like orange tic tacs that were always a fave growing up) and little items unique to who they are as adults (a nurse, a police officer, etc) and they all love native body wash so we always get that!

Love those Nordic snowflakes! Oh, my!

  18. I fill up my kids stocking with little items … now that they are older teens- make up products for my girls and hair/hygiene products for my son.. definitely airphone accessories like chargers.. and of course their favorite treats.

  19. We fill our stockings with little treats like a person’s favorite candy or cookies and then add in little toys like nanoblocks and then top it of with a lottery scratcher.

  20. That stocking is so sweet and the critters sticking out of them are adorable. Love it!! We fill our stockings mostly with the essentials (deodorant, socks, underwear, chapstick and some candy).

  21. small gifts (real gifts & sometimes a joke gift like fake coal), candy (unique things like jelly belly beans), chocolate, cookies or snacks, fun little toys (example: match box cars)

  22. We don’t do stockings here in Germany, although many use them for decorations here. On the morning of december 6th kids find gifts from St. Nikolaus – either in their shoes, that they put outside for St. Nikolaus to fill, or in little sacks. They traditionally get filled with chocolates, candies, gingerbread, oranges, nuts and a little gift of some sort.

  23. When we filled stockings, they were usually stuffed to the max with sweet treats and whatever the boys were into at that time, Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers, trading cards, etc. Their annual Christmas ornament was always in there as well as one extra, special surprise. Happy memories! Love the new LF Stocking and all the adorable ways the design team filled it.

  24. We fill our stockings with little gifts and yummy treats and a pair of socks and a chocolate orange are always a must!

  25. Ok oh my lovely goodness i am loving the stocking and the light stings. Such an amazing release. Thank you for all the wonderful inspiration.

  26. Love all the card creations that the design team have created. What an amazing release! Our stockings are usually filled with chocolates, sweets, humour gifts and a couple of small surprises 🙂

  27. Each year I tried to find unique fun toys or candies to fill the stockings. But every year there was a mini box of cereal and a tiny orange so they could snack while we opened gifts. I loved doing stockings.

  28. Mainly with nice little consumable treats (Terry’s chocolate orange is an English tradition, if I can get hold of some! o🍊), I try not to buy cheap trinkets that clutter up the place.

  29. I haven’t filled a stocking in several years. I used to add hair accessories, a piece of inexpensive jewelry, fun candies, and anything girly.

  30. Santa gave me my stocking 75 years ago (hand knit from a friend of my parents) . Santa always had fun little surprises and an orange in it. Still hang my stocking at the fireplace each Christmas and Santa always leaves me some special surprises and an orange!!!!

  31. I don’t do stockings anymore, but I used to put accessories that would go with their other gifts, candy they liked and just little trinkets and things.

  32. I fill the stockings with candy/ chocolate, an ornament and little gifts …. Small tools, kitchen gadgets or craft supplies!

  33. My sister in law always puts a chocolate orange in the stocking toe. Smacking tit against a hard surface to break it into “orange segments “ is half the fun.

  34. I fill everyone’s stocking with candies, hand lotion, lip balm and fuzzy socks 😊 and USA Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts GC 🍩

  35. I start by placing an apple and an orange in the toe of each stocking. Then comes a little bag of chocolate coins followed by lots of our favorite kinds of candy and small gifts! Over the years I have added a S’more ornament and now our adult kids have quite a collection!

  36. I usually do it for my niece. I usually put small candies, toys, little activity books, fake nails (shes’ really into that stuff), nail polish, etc.

  37. I have a hard time thinking of things for stocking stuffers. I usually get some candies and any little gift items that I come across that we would enjoy. And I always put a little package of treats and a toy for my kitty in her stocking.

  38. My husband’s family tradition was an orange at the toe of the stocking and my families tradition was always shelled peanuts. So, we combine those two every year and add what ever fun goodies we find.

  39. Stockings are a tradition in our family. Even as adults my children look forward to the gifts in their stocking. Usually I fill them with silly things, candy and 1 really special gift.

  40. My Christmas stockings are filled with small bags of candies and chocolates, also with chocolate bars. I also add a tube of toothpaste so I do not feel too guilty for all those sweets! 😀

  41. Ias an adult, I never had a filled stocking – I was always the filler — my daughter-in-law has been so sweet the past 15 years filling mine!! I usually fill them with gift cards and candy!

  42. I put a few similar things in each of my 3 kids stocking. A new toothbrush, chocolate coins, socks and then a couple of little things they like such as lip balm or a key chain come bottle opener

  43. This sure isn’t very creative, but I always find one of the gifts that fit in my boys stockings and put it in there!

  44. The hubby & I no longer exchange stockings; it got to hard too fill with actual gifts. We have each other & that’s all we need. <3

  45. Such cute projects! Our children are all adults so we stuff stockings with necessities…new socks, toothpaste, deodorant, etc along with some Christmas candy.

  46. Our stockings get filled with all the best stuff – candy, earrings, lip balm, cozy socks, little toys, hand lotions, small Lego sets, a new stuffed friend peeking out of the top. Our kids, like when I was a kid, like to save the stockings for last because they get to unwrap another 20 little gifts.

  47. Stockings were always my favorite when I was a kid. My mom would fill them with candy and fruit and little goodies like toys, puzzles, jewelry, and other small treasures. I don’t have kids, so I fill stockings for my dogs with treats and toys.

  48. I like to fill it with little treats, such as candy, socks, small toys, cute pens, or other stationery items, even hair clips. Simple everyday things that still bring a smile 🙂

  49. My kids are adults now..so fuzzy socks and regular socks, chocolate orange, chocolate covered pretzels, gummy candy, useful small kitchen items and anything wonderful I find through the year..

  50. I line them up on the table and fill with candy and sometimes small inexpensive gifts. I use to fill the toe with an apple and an orange, like my mother did, but, found the kids often skipped that. Now I use a chocolate orange. Nobody says no to that! 😊

  51. Stocking are so fun because we let our kids open those first before the unwrapping madness commences! Since all the adults need coffee and wake up time lol. We fill ours with candy and small presents 🎁.

  52. The inspiration is adorable today! I love that Nordic encore border and Grace’s slimline card😍

We don’t typically fill stockings at my house, but candy is always a great option for my kids

  53. I like filling our stockings with candy, mostly chocolate, and small gifts. A fun toy or puzzle is always good as is jewelry.

  54. Even though my daughter now getting close to 30, I always do a stocking for her! Mostly goodies like Walkers Shortrbreads, Italian super yummie nougat (one pistaschio, one vanilla/coconut and one raspberry/chocolate – so super nice!!), some gift cards or if there is any other small bits and bobs I know that she want!
Mayn I say… THIS RELEASE! WOW!

  55. Fun little gifts. My nieces get beauty/bath products mostly as they are teens/pre-teens and the adults candy and food

  56. Well, the orange for the toe. Then you have your toothbrush, some candies and last year I hit all the Thanksgiving sales and stocked Mom’s stocking from there with all kinds of stamp sets!

  57. Christmas stockings must contain a candy cane. I also do the throwback Victorian thing and stuff small oranges or other citrus in there.

  58. Stockings are my favorite to fill! I usually do some “need” things like socks or underwear and some fun things like mini games, perfume, lego minifigs, squishy toys, pokemon cards, that kind of stuff.

  59. This is one of those releases that gets me into a lot of trouble.
If it fits, it goes in the stockings, candy & treats, trinkets, sometimes gag gifts.

  60. I fill my daughter’s stocking with lip balm, moisturizers and. A few nice chocolates. My husband gets small handy little tools, socks and chocolates.

  61. We like to go together to a couple of stores and find random candy and small gifts to fill our stockings together. Little mystery boxes, candy bars that you normally don’t get, or extra of your favorite candy, bracelets or earrings, keychains or pins.

  62. My mother was English and as a little girl, in the 1930s and 40s, she always had an orange in the toe of her stocking because they were hard to come by. For me, she would always put a Terry’s chocolate orange in the toe of my stocking. She’d buy them in England. Now you can get them here. I have carried on the tradition with my kids.

  63. Candy and chocolates are a must but little gifts like lip balm, stationery, cozy socks, keychains or even gift cards sometimes☺️

  64. As an adult I always enjoyed Scratch Lottery tickets. We have friends that put cans of beer or those tiny bottles of liquor in the adult kids stockings.

  65. Everyone always gets lip balm and a small puzzle or game.in their stocking. Daughter gets makeup stuff and hubby gets tools and candy. Usually have too much and have to scatter around the stocking

  66. Stockings are adorable! I like looking for little trinkets to stuff in Christmas stockings. chapsticks, nail polish, little toys, etc

  67. I get so excited with the fall and winter releases – so many great things have been introduced. I can’t wait to get my order and start creating!

  68. Our Christmas Stocki gs are a mix of tradition – Hallmark ornament, calendars and favorite candies and then whatever catches my fancy for that year.

  69. I love doing stockings for my girls, I usually do bathbombs, and beauty products, fun socks, jewelry, a favorite candy, a little stuffed animal, a gift card. Since my girls are grown and like big things they pick out, it is my one chance to still do fun surprises at Christmas.

  70. Christmas stockings are my favourite! I like putting so much variety in my kiddos… little fidgets/toys, new art supplies, candies, bath supplies.

  71. Having raised 5 daughters, we filled their stockings with beauty products when they were teens, and with arts and crafts supplies when they were little….If they lived with me now I’d fill the stockings with Lawn Fawn products!!

  72. Our stockings are mostly food. Sometimes there are some other goodies in there too. But mostly food both sweet and savory.

  73. Everyone in my house is a crafter, so a Christmas stocking always includes some craft supplies! Always some special candy, a few travel size goodies and personal care items, and a magazine (if we can find any good ones, they are becoming extinct!)

  74. Edible goodies, toys, clothing, art supplies, really anything small (and interesting enough) can go into the stockings at our house.

  75. We put fresh oranges from our tree inside to help take up a little room along with candy, chapstick, combs, tooth brushes, and gift cards. My girls still get the most excited for their stockings LOL and they love to watch their grandparents, and children and spouses open theirs..

  76. We fill stockings with oranges and nuts as is the tradition in our family, plus candy and small gifts depending on who we’re giving the stocking to. I love filling our children’s and grandchildren’s stockings.

  77. I haven’t filled stockings in many years. 🤷‍♀️
If I were to do one now (maybe this year? 🤔), I would add some chocolate or fruit, lotto tix, a Christmas ornament, and maybe a small cologne or body wash (sealed tightly!).

  78. I love the new stocking die!! It’s so cute! I fill stockings with lots of different things. It depends on the person. Candy, bath items, gift cards… lots of stuff!

  79. I have a collection of stocking that goes back 40 to 60 years. Many made by my mom and some made by my husband’s mother. I like to display them during the holidays because of the treasured memories attached to them. They are more a decoration than something we fill.

  80. We haven’t done stockings in. Afew years but was thinking of doing them this year. I like to have small items and candy.

  81. What cute products today! I fill each person’s stocking with their favorite things-candy and little gifts that will make them smile

  82. I don’t usually do stockings, but if I did, I’d fill with sweet treats, new socks, and something personal to the person the stocking is for.

  83. My mom always put fruit and nuts in our stockings when we were growing up. (I think that was so we could have a snack when we got up early and wouldn’t wake her up because we wanted breakfast.) When I got older, I started making stockings for my parents. Now I still do them for my mom and sister and usually put small things like lotion and little gifts.

  84. that is always a challenge! I try to find fun things that they can use…. usually socks are involved …. always need new socks!

  85. Well-usually its little toiletries for travel, a few tiny bottles of liquor and some lottery scratchers. We’re all adults now, so we do that!
