Clever Pineapple Cards with Grace

Grace joins us to share more of her amazing creativity! Today it’s all about her brilliant pineapple-themed shaker cards! Be sure join us next week for Fawny Summer Inspiration Week to see how Grace builds on this tropical island theme!

Grace created her clever pineapples by combining How You Bean? Shaker Add-On with Slimline Tropical Leaves! The beautiful Watercolor Wishes Rainbow papers add bright color to the pineapples, leaves and flowers!

To turn the How You Bean? Shaker Add-On into a pineapple, Grace used the single thin line from Plaid Stencils to add the iconic pineapple diamonds! The Slimline Tropical Leaves Border is the perfect topper; looks just like pineapple leaves!

To continue the island theme, Grace included a few beautiful Happy Hibiscus flowers! Scripty Smile provides the perfect greeting! The Reverse Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Window frames this beautiful design!

For her second card, Grace doubled up the pineapple shakers! To create a clever Hawaiian inspired greeting, she substituted the O in the Finley’s ABCs aloha with another pretty hibiscus flower!

Grace framed her charming elements with a Stitched Rectangle Frame and used Stitched Woodgrain Backdrop for added texture in the background!

Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful inspiration, Grace! I love these beautifully clever pineapples!

Lawn Fawn Video {6.9.20} Chari’s Clever Paint Palette!

Chari shows us how to look at our dies in a new way using the Stitched Pond as a paint palette! You can watch her video tutorial below or click HERE to watch at our YouTube channel.

Thanks for watching!

Chari added texture to her paint palette with the Stitched Woodgrain Backdrop! The puddles of paint are free-hand drawn and cut from a rainbow of 6×6 paper scraps! A thick coat of Glossy Accents gives the appearance of wet paint ready to be used on a masterpiece!

Chari found the perfect shape for her paint brush bristles in the Our Friendship Grows coordinating die set! How’s that for seeing creative possibilities in a flower leaf!

I love this fun, colorful and clever design! Thanks so much for sharing with us today, Chari!

Lawn Fawn + Xyron Week – Day 4

We are so excited to be collaborating with our friends at Xyron this week! Their products include the multi-use Creative Station, Sticker Makers and awesome scrapbook and craft adhesives! Our Design Team has some fabulous projects to share this week. Please check out the Xyron Facebook page to see projects by their talented Design Team!

Today we have a video tutorial by our newest collaborator, Mindy! She shows how she used alcohol ink and Yupo paper to make gorgeous ocean backgrounds! Then she created two fabulous window cards using Porthole Frames and lots of fun ocean themed sets! You can watch the video below or click HERE to watch it at our YouTube channel.

Thanks so much for watching!

The alcohol ink backgrounds look amazing through the window created with Porthole Frames! I love the shiny gold from heat embossing the frames with our Gold Embossing Powder!

Stitched Woodgrain Backdrop adds lots of great texture to the Paper Bag cardstock panel!

Mindy used the Xyron Create a Sticker tool to add adhesive to the entire back of the window panel so the adhesive won’t be visible through the acetate! Such a handy product! Then she used the small Sticker Maker to make it easy to attach the cute sea critters from You Are Sublime, So Jelly and Duh-nuh!

It’s easy to make 2 amazing cards with the same elements! Mindy made one portrait and one landscape and added different sentiments from Simply Sentiments!

Chari‘s You Are Sublime yellow submarine shaker card is just so much colorful fun! I love the sparkle of the Stitched Rectangle Frame die cut from glittery paper! Really Rainbow paper adds the happy color to the background! She used Xyron’s Mega Runner to attach the color layer to the card base!

Chari used the Xyron Tape Runner to build up rainbow layers of cardstock frames to create height for the shaker! That’s such a cool detail! She filled her shaker window with Dress My Craft Crystal Ice Cubes. She finished off this cute card design with seaweed made from Large Wreath dies and a fun greeting from Chit Chat!

Nicole‘s sweet Plane and Simple card design includes a fun Outside In Stitched Cloud Stackables window! I love the stamped background and the peek at the Really Rainbow paper inside the window! She attached all the elements using the Tape Runner by Xyron!

Be sure to join us all week for more of our hop with Xyron! And don’t forget to visit the Xyron Facebook page to see their awesome projects! They are so fun and creative!
