My Cute Stamps Wednesday

**Please scroll down for my Torendi Week 2 competition card and vote for me at Torendi’s blog! You guys are THE best!**
So the Caardvarks challenge this week is to make a tall card! The first thing that came to mind was this awesome Circus Animals set from My Cute Stamps. I just love this set! I made this card for one of my sweet blog friend’s birthday. I am SO late, and I hope she forgives me and loves the card! I have another blog friend to send a late birthday card out to too. Let’s hope she forgives my lateness too!
I stamped and then colored my animals with copics. I cut them out and adhered them as if they were all balancing on each other. I feel like the lion looks a bit worried ;).
I used my upper crest punch again. My goodness do I love this punch! It is just so gorgeous and fun at the same time!

Card stock: Neenah Paper Environment (desert storm), Recollections (red)
Patterned paper: Me and My Big Ideas (chester)

Ink: Ranger Adirondack (pitch black)

Markers: Copic
Ribbon: unknown
Punch: Fiskars (upper crest border punch)
Thank you so much for visiting!
Have an amazing day,

Torendi design team competition WEEK 2 **Please vote for me!**

First of all, I have to send out the biggest THANK YOU ever for all the votes. I can’t even express how much it means to me! You guys are amazing! Big huge hugs to you all! I am so excited to be participating in Torendi’s design team competition week 2!
Here is my week 2 card for Torendi’s design team competition, American Idol style. That means voting, and that means I need to ask you for votes again! The poll is on the upper right hand corner of the Torendi blog. I would love your vote again. It would mean the world to me! I am just so excited about this new store! So please help me continue to stay on the fabby island!! 🙂
The idea for this card was “fireflies in love”. I can’t help but sing “Strangers in the Night” every time I see the card! These cute little bugs are from Cosmo Cricket. I added stickles to them to make them into sparkly fireflies!
The hill was created from Cosmo Cricket Earth Love paper. I backed it with some cream card stock so that I could stamp this wonderful sentiment from Ali Edwards. Don’t you just love it? It always makes me happy because it reminds me of my life with my hubby, Mike. Awwwww :).
This amazing tree is a rub-on from EAD Designs. This is not your ordinary rub-on, folks! It’s vinyl! It has this amazing shine to it and it just looks amazing in person. I am so in love with the set I got in my “Joy” Torendi Kit. I added stickles to the little holes in the tree to simulate other little fireflies having adventures of their own!
The background “sky” was created with a stickles/liquid pearls wash. I put some liquid pearls and some stickles on my Ranger craft mat. I added just a little bit of water and brushed on the “paint” with a foam brush. This helped create streaks in the sky to simulate the clouds and the pearlescence and twinkle of the stickles and liquid pearls reminds me of right at the end of dusk before it gets completely dark. It is such a beautiful time of day! This card may also be the biggest card I’ve ever made. It’s 6×6! Let me tell you, it is hard to photograph a 6×6 card!

Once again, thank you so much for your votes last week, and, if you are so inclined and love fireflies and whimsy as much as I do, I would greatly appreciate your vote again this week! Thank you so much for all the support! It means the world to me!
