I wasn’t able to make a card yesterday because Mike and I actually decided to have a date night at Disneyland. We have been working so hard that we haven’t had enough time together. It was so nice! So, this morning I thought I would issue a challenge to myself since I didn’t have anything to blog! My challenge: Make a card in 5 minutes with what I have on my desk! Pretty much all of my Lawn Fawn Holiday sets are on my desk, so I grabbed Bows and Holly! I did some super quick Copic coloring and that part was done! The argyle punch is another one of my black Friday purchases that is still not put away. Haha! I had some Hero Arts layering papers on my desk from last week’s blog hop and used a strip to back the argyle pattern. Baker’s twine is usually somewhere laying around on my desk, and the Thickers came in my Studio Calico add on kit is which actually on the floor, but I think that still counts for my self imposed challenge!
I think my explanation was longer than making the card! Haha! You guys should try this, too! It really forced me to not think and just do! I had no plan at all when I made this card which is generally how I do it, anyways! Haha! But usually the lack of plan makes the card making go slower, by imposing the challenge I had to just go for it! Plus, I felt like I was on a game show. That is awesome.

I have a couple of pictures from our Disney visit. It is all decked out for Christmas and so pretty! It started to rain while we were there, but I don’t mind walking in the rain! Here we are a little drenched but smiling!
I, of course, had to bring out my beloved Hipstamatic app on my iPhone to take a photo of my favorite ride: It’s a Small World. I love the ride, the art, the colors! I love it all! The have so many lights on it at Christmastime that it is blinding! I love it!
Two things I learned in the last 24 hours: Date night is good for the soul. Card making as if you are on a game show rocks.
Hugs to you all! 🙂

How fun must it be to live so close to Disney that you can just drop by for a visit! Super jealous, I am! This is an adorable card and I love the thought of speed card making, as on a game show. Too funny!
love your card, love your post, lol
xx Tamara
Such a cute little card! Date nights are awesome, whatever form they come in… sometimes we stay up late and watch a show kid free (hope that counts as date night, lol!).
Your 5 minute card turned out great! What a fun idea to do a challenge that way. I might have to give it a try!
A Disney date sounds so fun! And that challenge? I actually coincidentally did the same thing today. I needed tags for gifts I needed to mail out so I used what was on my desk (and posted it of course!) one of the stamps I used was your lil winter bunny that I just wanna hug cuz he's sooo cute! It WAS fun to just go with it instead of planning it out. *smile*
I've never been to Disney, so I'm super jealous you got to go there for a date night! lol I love the idea of making a card in 5 minutes. Will definitely be doing that!
Yay for your card AND date night!Super cute lawn fawn holly!
Kelly you make me smile all the time! This is why your blog is already bookmarked on my new computer I just got YESTERDAY! 🙂 The card is super cute and I am curious where you get your cute twine in all the colors.
