Lawn Fawn Video {9.6.22} Kara’s Autumn Scene Peekaboo Pop-Up card

Be sure to save the date for our next Create with Us LIVE event on September 24th! Jenn and I will be teaming up again for some fun crafty chatting while we make two Apple-solutely Awesome cards! To get all the details, please click HERE! We can’t wait, see you then!

Kara is back to share another brilliant card design with us! This time it’s getting a little nutty as she makes a Peekaboo Pop-Up with squirrel friends from Let’s Go Nuts! You can watch the video below or click HERE to watch at our YouTube channel.

Thank you so much for watching!

Kara filled her Peekaboo Pop-Up scene with the awesome Autumn colors of her mom’s 70s kitchen! She used stencils and Distress inks to recreate the avocado green, harvest gold and rust colors! The Slimline Grassy and Cloudy Stencils are perfect for using with the longer width of the Peekaboo Pop-Up.

For her adorable scene she stamped, colored with Copic markers and arranged the cute squirrels. She also included pumpkins and acorns from Simple Celebrate Fall. And then she used the tree branches from Fangtastic Friends, filling them with acorns to entice the squirrel! When you open the card, the squirrel jumps up for the acorn.

In order to have a place to add a message, Kara cut the stitched panel from Canned Pumpkin cardstock. And then she stamped a punny greeting before attaching it to the back of the card.

Thanks so much for inspiring us today, Kara! Your card is absolutely adorable!

  1. Love the colors. Especially your sky. I love how you use stamps from previous releases. I have those stamps and you have given me ideas for using them. Thanks.

  2. This card is the cutest!! I just love all the fall fun. Kara’s scenes are always the best-great coloring, blending and creativity.

  3. Hi, Kara – I love this!! And you might be the first crafter I’ve seen use Aged Mahogany… a color that is seriously underused. Love the card SO MUCH! Thanks for making my day a bit brighter. (Am at home sick – not Covid, but still sick.)
