Jessica’s Fangtastic Halloween Card

Jessica created an amazing last Halloween card before the trick or treating commences tomorrow!

Jessica started her remarkable design by inking an Outside In Stitched Rectangle panel with Stormy Sky Distress Oxide ink. She added a Simple Stitched Hillside Border to ground the scene before attaching Giant Trick or Treat. She switched up the look of the giant die cut by cutting it again from Canned Pumpkin cardstock to cover the letters of “treat”. So clever!

Then she filled out the scene with a Fangtastic Friends bat and pumpkins from Simply Celebrate Fall and Hay There Hayrides. She found those funny faces in the Thanks a Bushel set. And then she added fun details with Tiny Halloween adding flying bats, spiders and a cute ghost on the Spooky Forest Backdrop headstone.

On the inside of the card, Jessica stamped a sentiment from Pick of the Patch with more Tiny Halloween images!

Thank you so much for sharing this “fangtastic” Halloween card, Jessica! It’s the perfect last spooky card of the season!

Jenn is back to share another fun mixed media card today! Her eye-catching Giant Trick or Treat card combines hot foil with watercolor with spooky and sparkly results!

To begin this cool design, Jenn hot foiled with Starry Sky Background Hot Foil Plate on Distress Heavy Black cardstock. The hot pink color pops on the black background. Then she water colored with white mica-based Starry Colors paint over the top, so the foil resists the shiny color.

Additional shine and sparkle come in the form of glittery cardstock and more watercolor on the Giant Trick or Treat die cut. And finally, Jenn added the cut border of ghosts from Simply Celebrate Fall!

Thanks so much for sharing this artsy creativity, Jenn!

Jessica’s Glow-in-the-Dark Halloween Card

It’s the day before Halloween, and Jessica Spencer has some brilliant, glow-in-the-dark, pumpkin patch inspiration for you!

Jessica created her take on the “great pumpkin” using Pumpkin House! She gave it amazing ink-blended color with Distress Oxide ink. The colors she used are Rusty Hinge, Carved Pumpkin, Aged Mahogany, Forest Moss, Peeled Paint and Twisted Citron. For the background she blended Seedless Preserves, Uncharted Mariner and Black Soot.

And then she added the cute pumpkin patch elements with Happy Howloween, Simply Celebrate Fall and Spooky Fence Border! She finished her amazing design with Henry’s ABCs cut from Pixie Dust Sparkle!

She gave the Nighttime Sky Stencil clouds an eerie glow by mixing Stencil Paste in Pearl, Fairy Dust and Glow-in-the-Dark. It makes a fun feature and adds great texture as well.

I love this amazing card, Jess! Thank you so much for sharing with us today!
