First Saturday with Megan {7.6.24} Megan’s Clever Christmas Themed Build-A-Gumball Card

Megan is back with another creative card design to inspire you! She gets started on her Christmas cards with a fun take on Build-A-Gumball Machine!

Megan filled the gumball machine with frosty snowballs to the delight of her Build-A-Snowman character! For the background she began by inking with Distress Oxide ink in Peacock Feathers, Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire. Then she added a Forest Border layered with a Stitched Hillside Border. And then she white embossed the Merry Messages greeting on the background!

The snowman has a colorful scarf, and mittens and is so happy he found all those snowballs!

Renata’s Sunny Build-A-Cabin Design

Renata assembled a pretty mountain meadow scene with layers of Simple Grassy Borders and Forest Border! She used happy color with Cilantro and Noble Fir cardstock and a bright yellow sky! Making this card even more special is the adorable Snow Much Fun bear wishing us a “beary amazing day”!

Renata used traditional cabin colors for Build-A-Cabin, adding texture with a brown marker. In the sky she stamped with All the Clouds and then she added the white embossed sentiment from Dad + Me.

A Camping Party with Elena

Elena let our new Build-A-Campsite set inspire some brilliant party decorations for a favorite camping enthusiast!

Elena combined images from Build-A-Campsite and Forest Backdrop to for all of the decorations to keep it simple. She used both sides of Into the Woods Remix papers in Sycamore Remix along with white cardstock which she colored with Copic markers to keep with her rustic color scheme!

For the cupcakes, Elena designed two different toppers. The Stitched Scalloped Cupcake Wrappers were cut from the woodgrain pattern of Sycamore Remix.

This little topper features the camp sign found in Build-A-Campsite along with some of the grasses from Forest Backdrop! Those chocolate cupcakes look really yummy!

The large topper uses the tent, trees, lantern, moon and firewood from both die sets in a fun combination! The grid pattern side of the Sycamore Remix paper is perfect as a the tent!

For the Stitched Party Banner, Elena used the same basic design as she did on the cupcake topper. She added a Stitched Scalloped Border at the top. I love how she used twine to “hang” the lantern from the tent! Such a clever idea!
