Jessica’s Birthday Shaker Card With Build-A-Drink Cocktail Add-On

Jessica inspires us today with a punny birthday card featuring So Smooth and Build-A-Drink Cocktail Add-On! Don’t “whirry”, it’s just a little mess! And just a number “wink”.

Somebody is making a mess in the kitchen with So Smooth! Smoothie making can be tricky and Jessica shows us just how with Paint Splatter Background Stencils and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide ink. Her kitchen scene also includes a tiled countertop with help from Fruit Salad Petite paper and Simple Stripes: Portrait.

She used Build-A-Drink Cocktail Add-On to create a shaker filled with tiny seed beads and sequins in an appropriate berry color. Then she added “40” with Henry’s 123s.

Inside the card, the punny sentiment continues with a combination of Henry Jr.’s ABCs and Giant Happy Birthday! I love that Jess used Textured Dot cardstock; the polka dotted paper adds so much fun!

Thank you for sharing this super fun birthday card, Jess!

Kara joins us today to share a great idea for a masculine birthday card! She combined Just Plane Awesome with Honeycomb Shaker Gift Tags and Honeycomb Backdrop used in unique ways! You can watch the video tutorial below or click HERE to watch at our YouTube channel.

Thank you so much for watching!

Kara chose a color palette of Moonstone, Blue Jay, Canned Pumpkin and Fake Tan cardstock to create a masculine design! Honeycomb Shaker Gift Tag hexagons lend a fun geometric element while the Just Plant Awesome mice are just plain fun! I love how she added the Honeycomb Backdrop in the Secret Garden Window, it adds even more interest! Finally, she included a sentiment from More Magic Messages that goes so well with the paper airplane theme.

Then Kara added more fun on the inside of the card with Giant Happy Birthday and another cute mouse! The rest of the sentiment is from Offset Sayings: Birthday.

Thank you so much for this fantastic inspiration, Kara!

Elena’s Shaker Balloon Birthday Party

It’s time for another brilliant party idea with Elena! This time she created a birthday party with balloons and clever shakers!

This festive birthday party combines balloons, shaker elements and bright cheery colors!

Elena started with a Stitched Party Banner cut from Twinkling Cream paper from the Let It Shine Starry Skies collection. Then she cut a Reverse Stitched Scalloped Square Window from the banner, covering the opening with acetate. She used foam tape and another piece of paper to create the pocket for the shaker bits. And then she added a layered Giant Happy Birthday greeting over the acetate window.

To make the balloons for the banner, Elena used Stitched Balloon Frames and Outside In Stitched Balloon Stackables with more acetate and foam tape.

The cupcake toppers are so creative! I love how she used Tiny Gift Box to look like the balloons are popping up out of the box!

For these smaller balloons, Elena used Party Balloons Lawn Cuts dies and Textured Canvas cardstock. To make the wavy white balloon, she cut one balloon with Ocean Wave Borders, then she glued the pieces to a solid balloon.

A little piece of acetate holds the Tiny Gift Box lid open and stabilizes the balloons!

The party favors feature more balloons on a Goodie Bag!

For the drink bottles, Elena added a Twinkling Cream band to the bottle before decorating with more shakers and star balloons.

This birthday party decor is so brilliant, Elena! I love how you included the shaker elements! Thank you so much for sharing your creativity with us!
