Samantha’s Charming Critters in the Desert Card

Samantha used pretty pastels to create a fun Critters in the Desert card.


I love how Samantha used the Desert Canyon Backdrop on a larger square card. It allows for her add cute details like a Scalloped Fringe Border and a Rainbow Ever After patterned paper background. She also used the ombré Rainbow Ever After paper as a quick way to add color to the Desert Canyon Backdrop. Then she filled the sky with Starry Skies stars.

Samantha’s coloring of the Critters in the Desert and S’more the Merrier images is so whimsical, especially the colorful snake! I just love the little scorpion sitting on a s’mores treat, such a cute detail!

Introducing!

Today we are introducing Scalloped Arches Border, Scalloped Fringe Border and Diagonal Stripes Border! These borders add fun detail to your cards and craft projects! Both the Scalloped Arches Border and Diagonal Stripes Border include a solid layer to make adding colors a breeze! The Scalloped Fringe Border can be left flat, or you can curl the fringe to add some amazing dimension to your project.

Design Team Inspiration



Elise created an amazing dies-only design filled with colorful Pint-Sized Patterns Summertime papers! She combined Scalloped Arches Border with Giant Outlined Thanks to send a bold message!



Grace‘s mermaid birthday card is so amazing! She layered Scalloped Fringe Border in pastel and holographic cardstock in a heart shaped window. I’m pretty sure that’s what a mermaid tail looks like. She also used Stitched Ripple Backdrop with Mermaid for You and You’re So Narly!


Audrey created a colorful rainbow design that is so cool! She used the solid border from the Diagonal Stripes Border to cut the cardstock and assembled the strips on a panel that she then cut with a stitched rectangle. She finished the card with Giant Hooray and fun confetti and streamers from Let’s Celebrate Backdrop!


Elena created the prettiest card with Scalloped Fringe Border! She cut the borders from What’s Sewing On paper and the delicate flower design looks so lovely! Then she combined Giant Happy Mother’s Day, which she trimmed to leave only “mother” with a bird from Magic Iris Birdhouse Add-On!


Megan‘s adorable card reminds me of a vintage ice cream shop, it’s so sweet! She made the yummy cones with I Scream, You Scream layering them on pretty neutral striped paper. Then she added a layered Scalloped Arches Border and a fun message from Treat Cart Sentiment Add-On!


Latisha‘s friendship card is so pretty in a mix of cool colors! She started with Quilted Star Backdrop, it’s so fun with the blue stars in the background! Then she layered the Scalloped Fringe Border in fun Pint-Sized Patterns Summertime papers. Finally, she added the Give It a Whirl Messages: Friends sentiment and a pretty bow tied with Denim Blue Twine!


Audrey loves to add fun details to her cards! She created interest with a Diagonal Stripes Border layered behind her main card panel. It hugs the edge of the card adding just the right extra something! Her Money Pocket card is so much fun, featuring How You Bean Money Add-On and a cute For You, Deer bear!


Marine‘s birthday card is so colorful and happy! She layered lots of colorful and sparkly Scalloped Fringe Borders in a Reverse Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Window. Then she added All the Smiles balloons with a fun Offset Sayings: Birthday sentiment! So perfect!


The Scalloped Arches Border is a great place to anchor our adorable Froyo Friends paper-pieced cutie! The Pint-Sized Patterns Summertime paper in the background is so sweet!


The Scalloped Fringe Border adds lots of cuteness to the Give It a Whirl card! We used a new Give It a Whirl Messages: Friends greeting with Treat Cart images!
