Chari has outdone herself yet again! Today she shares a trio of summertime themed Build-A-Cake cards! You can watch the video below or click HERE to watch at our YouTube channel.

Let’s Celebrate! I love how Chari added Fireworks Hot Foil to this fun patriotic cake! The middle layer with Sprinkles Border is such a fun detail! And she added a banner flag with a Stitched Sentiment Banner and Henry’s Build-A-Sentiment: Birthday.
To add more sparkle, Chari used Holographic 2.0 cardstock for the cake plate and Sequin Mix stars and Silver Sparkle cardstock for the piped frosting plus more stars.
This ocean cake is so clever! With “sandy” frosting and beautiful blue “water” it’s the perfect background for the Stitched Seashells! Chari added seaweed from Platform Pop-Up Wave Wrap Around.
Then she finished this fun card with Ice Blue Bokeh paper layered on a Lacy Rectangle. And there is also the perfect greeting from Mermaid for You Flip-Flop!
This rainbow cake is so full of sunshine and color! Chari chose rainbow cardstock to cut the thin layers for this cake to present on the pedestal from Build-A-Cake Add-On. Then she added a Sparkle Grape frosting layer at the top and Stickles glittery trim at the bottom.
She layered her fantastic cake on a Sunburst Backdrop and decorated the top of the cake with Spring Showers clouds and raindrops. Then she added the cute paper-pieced umbrella from Hello Baby. The happy greeting is from Henry’s Build-A-Sentiment: Spring!

Great post and video. Love the patriotic cake. Thanks for the info about foiling on vellum. I think those fireworks came out amazing. Love the cohesion of that card… the stripey patterned paper perfectly mirror the striping of the candles. The ocean-themed cake is beautiful and creative. Love the rainbow cake, too.
