Catherine’s Stunning Lunar New Year Card

Catherine created a gorgeous card to celebrate Lunar New Year! Her lovely pink design features a trio of fans with some adorable pandas!

To make this special design, Catherine started with a Fancy Lattice Backdrop and Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frame layered over a pretty pink panel of Strawberry Frosting paper. Next, she cut out the frame from Secret Garden Window, stenciling bamboo for the background.

And then she created the clever fans using Stitched Rainbow and coordinating dies from My Rainbow! Then she cut the Zesty Lemon citrus slice from gold sparkle cardstock to complete the fans.

She stamped and colored the pandas from both I Heart Pandas and I Heart Pandas Add-On to arrange on the design. Then she added some pretty flowers from Spring Flowers Backdrop. Finally, she white embossed a Winter Wavy Sayings sentiment on a Simple Wavy Banner.

Thank you so much for this beautiful card inspiration, Catherine! I love the fans!

Karin’s Tropical Ta-Da! Diorama!

Karin gave our Ta-Da! Diorama! a tropical vibe with Simply Celebrate More Critters and Flamingo Together! So many ideas for our fun new interactive die set!

The jungle critters of Simply Celebrate More Critters all agree that a Ta-Da! Diorama! card is perfect for sending birthday wishes! Karin included fun sentiment from the Simply Celebrate More Critters Add-On set! I love how she attached the border of critters to the frame of the diorama, and the pretty florals of Spring Flowers Backdrop give a hint to what’s inside!

Karin created a fun tropical scene with Palm Trees and flamingoes! She also added a shell and tropical drink from On the Beach!

This is such a creative design, Karin! Thank you so much for this great inspiration!

Karin is with us today to share another beautiful craft project! This time she created a lovely lantern table decoration featuring Secret Garden Window.

The lantern comes together so quickly with just three die sets: Secret Garden Window, Stitched Scalloped Borders to add detail to the top edge and Spring Flowers Backdrop for pretty floral detail. Place a battery-powered votive inside to light it up.

The flower detail is so delicate and pretty!

Karin started by cutting two white cardstock panels 6 1/4 x 4 1/4. Then she scored each panel at 1/4″ and 3 1/4″ on the long side. Next, she die-cut the scalloped border on the top and cut the flower window twice on each panel.

She used the arched die from Secret Garden Window to cut four vellum pieces which she attached behind the garden windows. Then she used double-sided tape to attach the panels together to make the four-sided lantern.

Karin cut flowers and leaves from Spring Flowers Backdrop and colored them with Copic markers. Then she attached them to the floral windows with glue dots.

Set the lantern on a table with a battery-powered votive. The diffused light from the vellum is so pretty!

It makes a pretty decoration for a party or a special dinner!

Thank you for inspiring us today, Karin! Your lantern design is so beautiful!
