Ivy’s Lunar New Year Card and Gift Envelope

We hope you will join us tomorrow for another Lots of Heart Week! We will have sweet samples from the Design Team, and daily giveaways! See you then!

Today we have a fun treat for you! Ivy created a card and gift envelope to celebrate Lunar New Year!

Ivy explains the meaning behind the things she used to create her card and envelope set. “Oranges are a typical symbol of good luck, red and gold colors are considered lucky and prosperous, the red envelope contains “lucky money” that is usually given to kids.” And of course, she added the cute bunnies from Simply Celebrate Critters because this is the year of the rabbit!

For the card, Ivy filled the Fruit Basket with oranges using Zesty Lemon. She added a couple of the cute bunnies along with some pretty citrus flowers and leaves. She stamped the greeting on the label from Small Stitched Envelope with a Merry Messages sentiment. Then she added “lunar new year” in Claire’s ABCs and small sprigs from Giant Thank You Messages in shiny gold embossing!

To create the envelope, Ivy began with a Small Stitched Envelope, adding Henry’s 123s on the flap. Then she created another label this time including the row of bunnies from Simply Celebrate Critters.

Thank you so much for sharing this super cute project with us, Ivy!

Lawn Fawn Video {8.11.22} Kara’s Zesty Lemon Card with a Custom Sentiment

Kara has a gorgeous Zesty Lemon card to share with us today! And as always there is a fun twist! Her inspiration is pretty unique for this design with a custom sentiment! You can watch the video tutorial below or click HERE to watch at our YouTube channel.

Thanks so much for watching!

Kara stamped and clear embossed the first part of her custom sentiment on a Fancy Scalloped Rectangle. For this she used Milo’s ABCs and Jet Black ink. She followed this by stenciling the Sunray Background in Mustard Seed Distress ink.

She prepped all the Zesty Lemon pieces by coloring them with Copic markers. Then she created the second part of the sentiment with Henry’s ABCs and Lemon Fizz paper! Next, she assembled all this lemony goodness to mimic her soap bottle inspiration! So pretty!

Sometimes inspiration strikes at the oddest moments; like when you are washing dishes as in Kara’s case! I think her design is even prettier than the inspiration!

I absolutely love this beautiful card, Kara. Thank you so much for sharing it with us!

Renata’s Basket of Lemons

Renata joins us today to share another of her brilliant card designs! This time it’s all about Zesty Lemon, Fruit Basket and some cute little skunks!

Renata die cut the whole lemons from Sticky Note cardstock, then she added shading with Mustard Seed Distress Oxide ink. She also added some dotty texture with Copic markers. For the lemon slice she used Sunflower and white cardstock, coloring in the lemon segments with Copics as well.

She gave this design added cuteness by including the skunks from Scent with Love and Scent with Love Add-On! The birthday greeting can be found in Simply Sentiments.

Thank you so much for sharing this delightful design with us today, Renata! It’s a perfect way to start the week!
