Kristina’s Color Inspiration #44

One of my favorite crafty blogs is kwernerdesign.com. She makes the most beautiful cards! Well, every week she does something called a “color inspiration challenge”. She takes a photo or something from a magazine, etc. and posts the colors from that image for people to make cards from. I have always wanted to enter, but I just got up the guts to do it for #44! Here is the color inspiration from her blog:

The colors she is referring to are those from Stampin’ Up. I don’t have every color from Stampin’ Up and none of their papers, so I just improvised with what I had! Here is what I came up with!

The “whisper white” is the background circles and the white hearts on either side of the sentiment. The sentiment is stamped in “chocolate chip” craft ink.

The “pretty in pink” and “close to cocoa” are the strawberry and chocolate ice cream cones. The vanilla ice cream cone is a natural white linen card stock and the card base and cones are kraft card stock. These are neutrals which I learned are allowed! Woo!

Here is an angle shot so you can see the dimensions I created with foam adhesive on the ice cream scoops and behind the scalloped circles.

And a final shot! I scream, you scream. We all scream for ice cream!
