Color Inspiration Challenge #48

It’s challenge time again!! Check out this one. It’s pretty pretty!

Here’s my card!

Colors:
chocolate chip – branch, button, “I just love you”
kiwi kiss – bird, leaves, fabric flower, scalloped border
baja breeze -card base, flowers on branch, heat embossed “Mom”, twine through button
whisper white – rectangle, bird’s eye

More photos!
I am still in love with my Martha twine!
This bird is from sideshow stamps. I love the stamps from this company. They have such cute and unique designs! Thanks to my friend, M, for getting me a gift certificate to them!

I colored in the flowers on the branch (from Sassafras Lass) but touching my ocean tides PTI ink pad to an acrylic block and then using a blender pen to pick up the color. I actually matched something to my card stock! Crazy! (Oh, and I picked ocean tides to sub for baja breeze because the names were seemed similar! 🙂 )
I clear heat embossed “Mom”, and, wow, does Papertrey Ink card stock look good with heat embossing! The “I just love you” stamp is from an Ali Edwards Technique Tuesday stamp set that is beyond adorable!
Here is a final look. I used lots of foam adhesive on that bird. I also really like these colors together! Calming and quirky. 🙂 I am also loving making Mother’s Day cards that don’t say “Happy Mother’s Day!” It’s fun! Although I do have to admit that the biggest reason I am trying this is because I actually don’t own a “Happy Mother’s Day” stamp. How did that happen?!

Thank you so much for visiting!

Have an amazing day,
kelly marie
