Oh, Copics, how I love thee!

I decided to participate in the Hero Arts Color It challenge, and this week’s CPS sketch:

So I decided to color my little heart out! I wish the shading was easier to see in the photo, especially because I worked so hard on it! Oh well! I like putting darker Copics colors on an acrylic block and then picking them up with a lighter shade. It helps since I only have 24 colors.
This card has some of my Archiver’s goodies on it! The patterned paper is Cosmo Cricket! I finally own some! Woo! The sentiment is a new Hero Arts clear set that I got that is mega cute called Sky’s the Limit. The background on the kraft notecard is the antique brocade Hero Arts cling! Woo!
I used a lot of distress ink on this card. I used antique linen all over the sunflower rectangle. I used antique linen, broken china and shabby shutters on the sentiment label. This is pretty much my version of shabby. This card feels very “Fall” to me. It may not be the traditional colors, but sunflowers, shabbyness and blue skies equals Fall to me! 🙂

[Supplies]
Paper: Neenah Paper Environment (desert storm), Neenah Paper classic crest (solar white), Cosmo Cricket (tuesday from girl friday)

Have an amazing day,

When you are feeling down, make a card that says smile!

Please excuse blogger’s funkiness with the photos. It won’t cooperate with me!

So today was one of those days when I just felt blah. You know what I mean? Well, for me, the best way to clear the blahs is to craft. So I thought I would make the brightest happiest card I could think of. I decided to combine two challenges. This one at the American Crafts blog:
And this one at 2 Sketches 4 You:

I used AC patterned paper, ribbon and thickers. I faux stiched because this girl can’t sew (yet!) And I turned that fabulous 2S4You sketch 90 degrees. I had a lot of fun making this card! I hope it makes you smile if you are having the blahs too!

Also, I wanted to thank you guys so much for all your support and wonderful comments. You guys are infinitely sweet!

PS. Does anyone know the name of that American Crafts ribbon?

[Supplies]
Paper: Neenah Paper Environment (desert storm), Papertrey Ink (spring rain, hibiscus burst), American Crafts (Yay! from Junior)
Etc: American Crafts ribbon, Ranger Inkssentials opaque pen, Papertrey Ink button (spring rain), EK Success (embossed curve border punch), Fiskars corner rounder, American Crafts Thickers (chipboard rocketeer in leaf)
Thank you so much for visiting!
Have an amazing day,

My Cute Stamps Tuesday!

Welcome to My Cute Stamps Tuesday! I decided that I would use my wonderful My Cute Stamps on cards every Tuesday. I thought of the idea at the same time as sweetie pie Sarah Martina decided to My Cute Stamps Mondays, so check out both our blogs on those days for some MCS goodness! Check out the other design team members too because they are amazing!! 🙂I decided to use the Raspberry Suite Color Challenge for my card this week. These colors are super fun and spring-y!

I used some American Crafts ribbon with staples to create the grass for these monsters to hang out on. I have seen a lot of crafty bloggers using this technique recently, and I just love it! I almost stapled my finger to my card, but it was totally worth it! 😉
Eek! Aren’t these monsters cute?! I just love them. I love that you could make a boy card with them or make this Valentine with them too!
These monsters have fallen in love! The melon monster has sent a glittery green heart of love to the pink monster, who is totally thrilled. A match made in heaven, I say. 🙂
I had to show off my grass-ribbon again! Hey I almost lost a finger for that grass! haha! 🙂
