Everything but the Kitchen Sink Challenge #15

¡Hola! I hope you guys are all having a great weekend. I am here with another Everything but the Kitchen Sink sketch challenge! Courtney is our hostess with the mostest this week and chose this really cool stack of books for inspiration:

To come up with this super fun sketch:Such a blast!
I can’t tell you how much fun I had with this sketch. I felt like it gave me permission to layer a bunch of patterned papers that don’t “match”, and it was so fun! I stitched in between the patterned paper layers and had fun with all of my different types of stitches my machine has. I kept switching back and forth so I could try them all. 🙂

We have a crazy awesome prize this week from S.E.I!
Awesome, right? Come along and play with us for a chance to win! Check out the EbtKS blog for all of the details and Mr. Linky!

Have an amazing day,

Torendi Trigger Tea

Helloooo! I had WAY too much fun making today’s project. I used Torendi’s “Color by Number” kit for this project. It is such a cool kit! I was inspired by Moxie Fab’s Trigger Tuesday this week. Check it out:
Yes, I took it very literally and made a tea cup using Walzting Mouse’s tea cup template!
This was an extra little thing I added to the tea cup. I decided I wanted a message to go with it, so I created a tea bag! I took the fabric included in the kit and sewed it into a tea bag shape. I threaded some twine through the bag and one of the Sassafras paper whimsies from the kit with some Cosmo Cricket tiny type stickers to spell my sentiment out.
Here’s another view of the tea cup. The Jillibean Soup patterned papers included in the kit have great fronts and backs, so I let them show in the tea cup. I also distressed it some with vintage photo Distress Ink to give it some dimension. I can’t wait to give this to my best friend for her birthday! The big dilema: how do I sent it without it being crushed?!

Patterned paper: Jillibean Soup (diced tomato, spring onion) – from Torendi’s Color by Numbers Kit
Ink: Distress Ink (vintage photo)
Stickers: Cosmo Cricket (tiny type)
Twine: Martha Stewart
Fabric: Shinzi Katoh (stroll)– from Torendi’s Color by Numbers Kit
Card: Sassafras (retro paper whimsies)– from Torendi’s Color by Numbers Kit
Tools: Sewing machine, Ranger inking tool and foam

Have an amazing day,

It’s Christmas already?!

I know, Christmas in May. It’s weird! I have been working on the different publication calls and one was for Christmas. I had Christmas music playing and Christmas socks on. I even made Pumpkin Curry soup today. I am definitely confused as to what season it is! Haha! Anyways, I just wanted to share this little tag that I made with this cutie bird from Hero Arts and words from Just My Type, Too. I have a feeling my Christmas tags this year will be all Labels 9. It is such a cool shape!

Have a wonderful day and don’t forget to enter the latest EbtKS challenge for a chance to win a gorgeous Ippity set!
