Well, I think a post needs pictures! I thought I would post some of some cupcake toppers I made and a little banner I made with the large umbrella from Partly Cloudy. I used all of the Lawn Fawn sets to make the toppers. It was fun and easy, and I felt very Martha. Hehe!

Have an amazing day,

2 sketches 4 you 52: Hope

Hello! I can’t believe it’s my second week with 2 sketches 4 you! The sketch and sponsor are super fab this week! The sponsor is Whimsy Haven Digital Stamps, and I absolutely flipped when I saw this stamp, not only because it is gorgeous, but it is also from the poem that was read at Mike’s and my wedding!

Check out the amazing sketch by Kazan:
So fun! 🙂
I had a blast coloring this stamp in PhotoShop. I took an online photo of the Max and Whiskers Basic Grey papers I used, picked up the colors, and colored the stamp with it. It is such a fun way to customize a digistamp to your patterned papers.
I used a sheet music stamp in the background to go along with the quote stamp by Whimsy Haven. I also got pretty distressy for me! It was super fun! One tip: If you have a cheapy printer like I do, distress the paper before you print the stamp on it so as to not smear the stamp. I learned that the hard way. Waiting for it to dry could also help. Hehe! So, I guess the tip is for impatient people. 🙂

Go check out the other designers and play along with us at the 2s4y blog! Have a great Monday!

Have an amazing day,

You’re just my type!

Hello! I hope you guys are doing well! Today I am sharing a Just My Type card with you. I personally love when I can use my sets together. It is just fun to mix and match! Well, I think this set goes so well with Papertrey Ink’s Text Style. It’s a perfect fit and a good way to “guy -up” the card a little ;). I stamped the text background builder in Vintage Photo Distress Ink, but I made sure not to ink it all of the way so it would look more distressed. Then I used my ink applicator tool with foam to ink up the edges.
I stamped my typewriter on a piece of white card stock and colored it with Copics. Then I distressed the typewriter’s paper with some antique linen to go along with the background I created. I then stamped the typewriter on the card base, cut out my colored type writer and adhered it over with foam adhesive. As for those extra “off the edge” typewriter keys, I just like to leave them flat on the card base. I saw some of the DT members use glossy accents or gems on the keys to pop them up. That looks really cool also!
Okay, so I had to include this totally dorky picture. I just bought the Totally Rad Actions by the Boutwells. They are a blast. I haven’t had much time to actually learn to use them, but I had fun making my photo look all old timey. Hehe!

Here is another photo I did. I am obviously no expert, but I thought it was fun!
