May Arts + Lawn Fawn Week = Day 2

It’s May Arts + Lawn Fawn week = Day 2! We are teaming up with May Arts for the 2nd day to bring you some fun projects! So after you check out this post, make sure to head on over to the May Arts blog! Oh, and there just may be a giveaway at the end of this post, too! 🙂
Tiffany created an upcycled boy baby shower center piece using some trendy May Arts twill paired with stamped bottle wrappers using Teeny Tiny Backdrops. I love how she used her electric die-cutting machine to make the 3-D clouds and rocket embellishments! It’s amazing what you can do with old soda bottles!
Chari’s card is so lovely with her use of the feminine lace and rosette ribbons! I especially love her twill leaves! Note how she only used half the butterfly image from Flutter By to give the illusion of a flying butterfly?! AMAZING!
Now, for the giveaway! We are giving away a HUGE spool of May Arts ribbon of you choice every day to one lucky commenter!
With Summer’s arrival, are you helping to make any special party decorations, invitations, or favors!? I would love to hear what you’re making!
Don’t forget to visit the May Arts Blog as well! They have a giveaway and some AWESOME inspiration there too 🙂
Have an amazing day,

  1. I'm making small wallets from recycloed cereal boxes as gifts. I think ribbons will be great additions to the wallets 🙂

  2. What a lovely projects again! I just love and enjoy to see what ideas other people come up with!
Last month my daughter had a Princess theme birthday party and I dressed up all the tables, made crowns for the chairs, a magic wand for my daughter and suprise bags for the kids at school.
For now I'm trying to think about gifts for the teachers for the end of the schoolyear. So far I'm thinking about special gift-bags and maybe a small canvas with some special words for each of them.
I saw some extremely small canvas in de stores that I want to use for it.

  3. Love the porjects today, the vases and card are adorable,I love the ribbon. I am currently working on pinwheels to hand out to the kids on the Fourth of July. For the stick I will use pixie stix candy. They are really cute!

  4. Those old soda bottles transformation is amazing!

It is all year round Summer in Malaysia. I am not fancy about party but if I have a chance, I would like to have a themed party and made my own invitations and favors!

  5. I love the bottles and the card! I like to see what other crafters make to give me inspiration. Since m birthday is June 2nd, i need to make birthday invitations and thank you cards

  6. LOVE today's projects…so, super cute!!! My granddaughter's birthday is in July, so I've already started making party favors for her little friends – Just a fun thing that I enjoy doing for them!
Thanks so much for a chance to win!

  7. I love these … Chari's card makes me especially happy!

My summer decorations include some little "take out" boxes with embellishments and felt roses on them. Too cute!

    THANKS for the great giveaway!

  8. Cute stamping, and I love all the ribbon and lace!
We have 4 June birthdays, 2 July, and 2 August in our extended family, plus Father's Day and 4th of July. LOTS of celebration cards to make these next few weeks!
Thanks for the chance to win – love both companies! 🙂

  9. Very cute for a baby shower and the card is gorgeous. Not too much going on this summer although I may make something for my son's 4th of July birthday celebration.

  10. Great looking projects!! I LOVE May Arts ribbons–I'm addicted to them now!!! Thanks for the chance to win!!

I'm helping my bestie put together a surprise birthday party for her hubby on June 24th!! I'm decorating AND made the invites for her hubby's birthday on June 24th!!! 😀

  11. I accidentally sent before I was ready. I am not anticipating any decorations or invitations in the near future, but if I was I love the bottle idea. So easy, but so cute!

  12. Very nice job on those projects!

My latest project was just finished yesterday. I made 13 discs beginning with "just born" to 12 months (using Lawn Fawn stamps) and attached them with ribbons. We're hanging them up on the wall and displaying a picture of my granddaughter for each month of her first year! Her birthday is a week from today.

  13. My friend and I are going to hold a Craft Bizarre and are going to make handmade invites. This would add that extra special touch. Thanks for the chance.

  14. I love May Arts ribbons! They are so pretty and just the right touch on a project. I really think this project is lovely.

  15. hi!
for my summer decorations I take some cans (for example Coke cans)and I draw some lines vertically from the top to the bottom (leaving 1 cm from the edges) all along the circumference (1 cm distance from one to the nex one).
Then i cut along them. I push and turn a little the top of the can to the bottom. I paint them and I put inside the can a tea light candle and so I create something like a "lunar light".

  16. Great project ideas! This summer I will be doing a lot of scrapping and I will be making some fun things for my brother's 50th bday celebration…some of which might not be so nice!

  17. Such sweet projects!! As for me, I am "trying" to organize my photos AND get them printed and developed to actually get to begin scrapbooking. I am so far behind!! Having 3 cameras and 2 computers, makes it so slow and tedious! My goal is to start from the last month and work backwards. LOL! Not so much thinking that I will get caught up but it will be fun!

  18. Super cute projects. The only decorations planned will be for my sons' combined birthday parties – Legos, Star Wars, Hot Wheels – any combo of those 3 depending on their mood!

  19. My birthday is near the end of the month, so I'm going to make invitations for it. I could just call, text, email, or facebook my friends to invite them, but this is a chance for me to papercraft, so I can't resist doing so! 😀

  20. What a great idea for using bottles.
I'm not making any special projects, just several cards for birthdays coming soon.

  21. Amazing bottles!! Love them and love all the projects today! Makes for some great inspiration for sure! I just love the summer =)

I won't be doing much of anything for this summer as I just moved out of state away from family but I will be making a Welcome Home Banner for my husband who will be arriving here this July!

    Hugs,
    JO

  22. Love those bottles! And love the chevron trim on them!! I am making cards mainly, but am gearing up to make some fun things for a birthday party!

  23. I am making a garden book for my hubby to show the progress of his 'crops' and the bounty we collect.

  24. These are both cute projects! I just had a grad party and made giant tissue paper balls to hang outside…turns out weights for them might be a good thing next time!

  25. LOVE May Arts and LOVE Lawn Fawn! It's a match made in heaven!

I don't know what has gotten into me lately, but I'm all geared up to try lots of different crafty projects this summer. I'm totally digging all forms of altered art.

  26. Oh my gosh, those bottles are adorable and the card…. So pretty!!
I am not doing any party stuff this summer but my girls will have birthdays in the fall, so I'm always pinning ideas. 🙂
