A Sushi Party by Elena!

We have an awesome treat today! Elena has styled the cutest sushi themed party with our new set, Let’s Roll! She even has some step by step photos on how to make candy sushi at the bottom! I can’t wait to try it!

I love how well Milo’s ABCs works with Let’s Roll. Also, the 4×6 Stitched Journaling Card makes awesome place cards!

I love how well Let’s Roll fits in the new Birthday Tags set!

How cute are these felt sushi rolls? The perfect party favor!

And now it is time for the candy sushi tutorial!

You will need the candies shown above.

Cut Rice Krispie squares into a circle and core the center.

Fill the center with a gummy or piece of marshmallow, then wrap a strip of Fruit-by-the-Foot around. It will stick to itself and be secure.

Then dab some “wasabi” green icing over the gummy/marshmallow and add toppings!

And then you end up with these adorable candy sushi! These would be a huge hit at any party!

Thank you so much for sharing your awesome ideas, Elena!

Let’s Explore by May

Today we have a super fun treat! Our friend, May, is sharing an awesome layout with us!
Hello! May Flaum here – and I’m excited to be sharing some ideas for using those stamps onto your next scrapbook layout. I’m teaching a class on this right now and since some of my favorite stamps to use are Lawn Fawn this seems like a great place to share those ideas too! Now cute images and little shapes can be a challenge – the real key is to tie them in with another page component such as the edge of a piece of paper or photo.
Another great way to use them? Use them like stickers! I love that Lawn Fawn has dies to coordinate with the stamps making my work so much easier – and saving loads of cutting time!
This makes me super happy because I get to color and play – with no risk of messing up my layout. Then when I’m done I can just place my stamped paper shapes anywhere I’d like.  Speaking of anywhere I’d like – I also like to add faint stamped accents by stamping in a color very close to the cardstock I’m working on for a subtle accent.
All that stamping – and some flair and my favorite new paper (heart polka!) and I’ve got myself a new layout that I love.
Things really did come together quickly for this – such a fun way to get inky and preserve memories too. Another way that I like to use my Lawn Fawn stamps on my scrapbook pages (or pocket pages!) is to stamp, color, and cut out or die-cut pieces to create custom journaling cards! Here is one I just made for a future camping trip.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my guest post today – thanks to Lawn Fawn for having me visit! I’ve got a lot more ideas to share – if you’d like to join me in my latest class which is all about stamping on scrapbook layouts you can find information and register here. Want to save a few bucks? I am offering a Lawn Fawn blog exclusive: 20% off stamping for scrapbookers class now through March 21st – just use this link: http://craftwithmay.com/coupon/lawnfawn/  and the discount will automatically be applied!

Timeless Twine Week {Day 5}

Hello, everyone, and welcome to our week long hop with our friends at Timeless Twine! They have gorgeous twine, and we are going to be sharing fun projects on both of our blogs with our products together!
So after you check out our blog today, make sure to check out the Timeless Twine blog for more inspiration!

Yainea‘s card is so much fun! I love how she cut out the sails of the Float My Boat boat to show the Valentine’s Day twine! She also tied a sailor’s knot and sewed the background with the Simply White twine! So cool!

Elena‘s postcard is so awesome! She used the Large Stitched Journaling Card along with You’ve Got Mail to create this cool look! I love how she tied the Natural twine around the side, and the Wish You Were Here map is a perfect fit!

And now we have a video from Chari! You can watch it here or at our YouTube channel!

Thank you so much for watching!

Chari‘s card is so cute! The Cape Cod twine behind the negative die cuts of Spring Showers is too cool!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, and a big thank you to Timeless Twine for an awesome week! Make sure to head on over to the Timeless Twine blog  next!
