Fawny Summer Week {Day 4}

Hello everyone! Welcome to our special Fawny Summer Week! This week is all about sharing fun, sunny, Summer projects! The Design Team and Inspiration Team will share lots of ideas using our new Summer products along with daily giveaways and videos! (Make sure to comment for a chance to win a stamp set with coordinating dies of your choice, and a 6×6 paper pad of your choice!)

To start things off for Day 4 of Fawny Summer Week, Chari created an amazing alcohol inked lantern featuring Toucan Do It and Tropical Leaves Backdrop! Check out her video tutorial below or click HERE to watch at our YouTube channel.

Chari‘s alcohol inked lantern is the perfect companion for an LED light! The translucent panels, bordered with Tropical Leaves Backdrop allow the light to shine through!

Chari added Tropical Vine Borders and some Toucan Do It critters to the inside as fun silhouettes!

Latisha’s bright and happy design makes me smile! She used Tropical Leaves Stencil to add bold pigment ink leaves on kraft cardstock! The inked Slimline Tropical Leaves Borders add the perfect frame for the Long Distance Hugs greeting!

This whimsical design by Samantha cleverly combines Toucan Do It with S’more the Merrier! She added some sparkle by die cutting a Magic Iris Tropical Leaves Add-On from Autumn Sparkle glitter cardstock. The pretty polka-dotted Watercolor Wishes Rainbow paper makes a sweet backdrop!

Lynnette‘s beautiful birthday card features Giant Birthday Messages! I love how she paired it with colorful Really Rainbow paper!

Jessica created a beautifully subtle background using Simple Stripes: Diagonal! By leaving the stripes white she let her gorgeous Happy Hibiscus and Tropical Leaves be the star! The perfect finishing touch is Scripty Hello in glittery Autumn Sparkle black cardstock.

  7. Chari’s video made me smile it is so cute. You could do this for so many different kinds of occasions and the top is so clever. I didn’t think I wanted any of these items but I am rethinking this now.

  11. Wow! More amazing inspiration today! All the projects are gorgeous. I really loved Chari’s lantern idea and it made me smile wide!! Not only was the lantern great, but I think how she did the panels would make a lovely card too! TFS.

  22. A phone call from our eldest son, asking if they (son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren) can come for a visit next week (they live a four hour drive away, one way). Guess what I replied…. 😁

  24. The two cute Labradors and their sister cat I’m watching made me smile bright and early this morning. If you have to get up early nothing beats three furry faces that are happy to see you!

  26. Sorting through my lawn fawn stamps and seeing all the cute fall sets and remembering it’s almost time for fall releases lol…. Sorry I know this is supposed to be summer week but my heart lives in Halloweentown!!

  35. Jessica’s card made me smile! I sure do love the Happy Hibiscus and the Tropical Leaves sets. Her card is so bright and tropical. It reminded me of good times in Hawaii.

  38. It’s Thursday- that means it’s payday (which makes me smile, lol), it’s also movie night with friends!

  39. Fantastic cards- love the lantern! Taking a walk outside and listening to my favorite music is what made me smile today!

    1. One thing that made me smile was Chari’s Lantern. Omg I was so impressed by this idea. I will sure to create it for my craft room for when I need some ambient lighting. Love it!

  49. I just woke up, so nothing has happened yet. But the Smores card makes me smile internally. It makes me think of our upcoming camping trip 🙂

  58. Well – after watching Chari’s lantern video last night – I went to the store and bought some translucent Yupo paper this morning – that made me smile! (I didn’t realize there were different kinds of Yupo paper). Also – I had my knee replaced 3 months ago and I have been cleared to resume scuba diving – also brought me a smile!

  61. Being at the family cabin with my mom and my kids masked me smile. I love that grandma and grandkids love to be together swimming, playing cards and laughing together.

  62. Fabulous lantern!!! Need to get the stamp sets and dies to make one. Watching the catching, tagging and release of hummingbirds made me smile today.

  72. We had photos taken of our house today, as it’s about to go on the market. Now they are done, I can get my crafting things back out – that made me smile a lot!!! 😁

    1. What made me smile today? My beautiful flowers are all perked up after the rain. Hearing my wonderful chimes and the birds singing while I pull the darn weeds!

  140. My son has been playing baseball and now it’s time to get ready for golf season but he’s been struggling to get his golf swing back. Well today, after a lesson with his golf coach of 7 years, he said, “I’m back”!!! Made a mama’s heart proud!!!!

  154. I was having a tough day today and my coworker told me a funny story. A laugh out loud story that not only broke my bad mood but made me smile.

  158. My niece turned 5 today, so we sang Happy Birthday to her and she said it was beautiful. She always makes me smile!

  162. We pulled into Tombstone, AZ today on our drive across the country from VA to CA-(we are almost there!) We got to walk around the OK corral and see part of history! And my kids were holding hands at one point and the entire event made me smile!

  164. Tomorrow is Friday and my hubby only works 1/2 day and I have a few cards to make. We will be ordering out dinner tomorrow for the 1st time.

  174. I got my order from the new release in today after the delivery to the store I order from here in Germany went held at customs for quite a while. This box full of crafty happiness put a big smile on my face and I can’t wait for the weekend to come to put my new goodies to use!

    What made me smile today was going to the Hong Kong Book Fair with a good friend!

  180. Today I got mail from my mom that contained a totally unexpected gift. It was something I had been wanting for a while and I was so surprised I cried.

  187. I smiled yesterday bc my sister in law received my box I sent her a day early! I made her a special card for a 50 anniversary that she loved. She can’t wait to give it to them. Plus a bunch of goodies, to say thank you.

  191. My husband reminding me how he knew that he was in love with me after 1st sight!
    We been together 39 yrs & will be celebrating our 34th Anniversary on 8/15! 💕

  192. Snuggling with my sweet dog Ellie makes me smile everyday! The inspiration pieces with the toucans makes me smile too. 😀
