Yainea‘s baby congrats card is so absolutely gorgeous! She inked up the Dotted Moon and Stars Backdrop: Landscape in a lovely blend of color, then she layered it over holographic cardstock.

She used more holographic cardstock for the Moon and Stars Mobile along with pretty pastel moon, stars and clouds. For the sentiment she added even more shine with the hot foiled Big Scripty congrats!

The Moon and Stars Mobile looks so perfect framed inside the Secret Garden Window! Mindy used the new Cloud Background Stencils to add glorious color!

Elise used Wheely Great Day and Tiny Friends to send a greeting with love! She hot foiled the Big Scripty Words message in shiny gold, it makes this card so special!

Megan‘s nursery scene is so sweet! The mom and baby elephants are adorable sitting under the Moon and Stars Mobile. And I love how she used the Secret Garden Window, with a sky full of stars beyond!

Wow! Audrey‘s card is such a cool way to send happy congrats! She started with lots of great color with Corner Rainbow Stencils. Then she layered Giant Hooray with gold metallic and white cardstock on the background, before adding “congrats” hot foiled in coordinating gold! So shiny and so amazing!

Elena gave her Moon and Stars Mobile a nature-inspired look that is so cool! She used woodgrain paper and bright green leaves for a totally natural, rustic variation.

Latisha‘s glittery pink design is so perfect to send new baby girl congratulations. She layered the Moon and Stars Mobile on a stitched circle before adding it to the Dotted Moon and Stars Backdrop. The greeting is from Offset Sayings: Everyday. The outlined sentiment gave Latisha another place to add some pretty pink color!

Kara created the perfect welcome for a baby boy! She used lots of shiny silver to complement the shades of blue. The holographic cardstock creates cool color variations while the hot foiled clouds in the background add more shine. And of course, the Fishtail Banner Borders make this card a celebration!

Grace‘s stunning design is perfect for so many happy occasions! She ink-blended the Giant Hooray greeting to match the background layer. Then she layered it over gold metallic cardstock. The hot foiled greeting also adds shine to this special design!

Rebecca created a card to welcome a new baby that is so charming! The Stripes ‘n Sprinkles paper looks like sweet wallpaper while the Moon and Stars Mobile fills the space with cuteness!

Wow, Caly‘s card is so sweet and so beautiful! I love the colors she used on the Moon and Stars Mobile! She also created a fun background by stenciling the Dotted Moon and Stars Backdrop with Cloud Background Stencils in soft pastels. Then she turned the landscape backdrop on it’s side for a fun twist!

Mindy used the Moon and Stars Mobile to make an interactive spinner card that is so much fun! For more about this card and a video tutorial, click HERE.

  1. Confetti backdrop with little ones and not too much so you can turn it and make it with diffrent colours thatveil be awesome.

  2. Cristina’s example today is just beautiful!

Some frames would look pretty and things to incorporate into spinner cards like a snowflake or heart to go into a circle would be cute too

  3. Celestial zodiacs, stars, sentiments and holiday sentiments (Christmas, New Year, Halloween etc.) add-on’s to make cute detailed scenes for all the pop-ups.

  4. I love the showcased products so much 🥰
A starry background would be great. And some people mentioned frames and I totally agree. Frames with coordinating dies would be very convenient.
Thank you for the wonderful inspiration 🥰

  5. I haven’t started hot foilling. I think it would be pretty to have some way to use it to make constilations. Maybe a background, could make our own paper that kind of looks a bit like the paperback from last fall.

  6. I don’t have a hot foil machine yet but would like to get one to start foiling as I love the look of it on cards.

  7. I have not yet jumped on the hot foil bandwagon, but I do think a leafy background for fall would be nice.

  8. A starry night or a snowy sky background like your snowy backdrop die or starry sky stencil. Even falling rain like your rainy backdrop die.

  9. Holiday sentiment with accessory – Christmas – tree with lights, Happy New Years – Champaine glass’s sparkling bubbles, snowflakes, July 4 – fireworks etc. 🎄🥂❄🎆

  10. I’m snow and snowflake obsessed so anything along that line would be cool. These cards today are AHmazing!! This design team is the absolute best in the world!!

  11. I don´t use these but they are so pretty to look at! I think some party balloons with confetti would be nice for birthday cards. Spider web would be cool for Halloween as well.

  12. I haven’t started that hot foil-road yet, so I don’t even dare to come up with something I would like for hot plate. If I start it’ll be like with the rest; I WANT IT ALL!

  13. The Moon and Stars Mobile is super adorable and the inspiration is sooo cute! I would like to see some abstract background hot foil plates.

  14. I’m resisting getting a hot foil machine for the moment, but you could bring back the retired polka heart backdrop as a hot foil plate?

  15. I like the look, but I don’t hot foil. I usually scroll on by so I don’t know what’s out there. Maybe stitching like the stitched rectangles.

  16. I love bats and hot foiled bats would look great for Halloween and with the bat stamp sets. Love the samples today, adorable!

  17. I have been avoiding the hot foil trend. I think it looks amazing, but I feel like my budget doesn’t have the room to explore that avenue. If I hit the lottery tomorrow, my favorite hot foil items would be words and frames.

  18. That mobile is adorable! Love the scripty sentiments, too!

re hot foil plates — hmmm. Do you already have very basic shapes like circles and labels? If not, those would be great — that’s the type of thing I would be likeliest to use if I get a hot foil machine (trying to wait until after I move to make any other sizable tool purchases though).

  19. I just started learning how to use hot foil plates using sentiments. Maybe snowflakes and little hearts. I love what you did with the little stars in the banners.

  20. Lot’s more sentiments for hot foiling. Plate wise – rain drops, snow flakes (big and tiny – two different plates)

  21. I love Christmas so snowmen, pointsettia’s, background snow fall, but also other floral and floral backgrounds, large words, moon and or stars.

  22. Falling leaves, Rain, polka dots, confetti… anything that would be used as a cute background enhancer!

  23. Then there is me over here trying to plot if I’m be could use a clothes iron with homemade heat safe plates….

Maybe a set of numbers to add years for occasions to cards? Background stripes or bubble/dots, tropical leaves.

  24. Great projects by the DT! I don’t own a hot foil plate yet, but I bet a background with tiny falling leaves would look adorable. Thanks for the chance to win!

  25. I’m just getting into hot foiling. Don’t know
what all is available. I’ll be happy with
any new designs you can come up with.
Love the mobile. thanks for sharing

  26. I’m just getting into hot foil plates. Would love your cover plates and the big phrases as hot foil plates.

  27. Frames as others have said, more sentiments, fall leaves, and snowflakes would be great additions to hot foil plates.

  28. It’s hard for me to give you suggestion since I don’t have a hot foil machine but I do think it is absolutely gorgeous on a card!

  29. I just started hot foiling and learning all that can be done with it. I would like to see hot foil alphabets in different sizes and fonts. I have found that hot foiling on ribbon is beautiful and would like to do monograms and other lettering on it.

  30. Some ideas for hot foil plates: confetti, geometric shape backgrounds, smaller sentiments with coordinating dies to cut out all of the sentiments at once.

  31. stars, hearts, more words, …
I do not have a hot foil machine but foiled sentiments and things are sure pretty

  32. I haven’t invested in hot foiling, yet, but I would probably lean towards frames and sentiments first.

  33. I have never tried hot foiling so no new ideas from me … yet! lol
I love the mobile – so darling!!

  34. So many ideas… Hot foil stars background, snowfall/sprinkles background, balloons background, geometric background, leaves/flowers/trees. Honestly the sky’s the limit.

  35. Awesome cards!
I think a snowflake background would be beautiful, and a birthday design with balloons and streamers too. I don’t have the machine for hot foiling, but I love the look!

  36. I would love hot foil greetings…but new ones 🙂 with a different font, and perhaps a few various happy birthdays.
A few frames would also be nice 🙂 and leafy greens and flowers.

  37. Absolutely beautiful cards!! I haven’t gotten into hot foiling yet as I’ve only taken up card making in the last year or so. After reading the comments, I think the ideas given cover a wide range of possibilities for any upcoming hot foil plates.

  38. Cute cards. I love how using a Hot Foil Plate adds to a card. I currently not have any ideas for a new plate. Whatever you come up with it would be nice if it could be used for any day cards. I am always looking for sayings other than Hello or Thinking of You that I can use when sending a card just because I want to send a card. Reading some of the other comments I came across a suggestion for paw prints. I like that suggestion.

  39. Hot foil hearts or stars! Hearts work for so many occasions and stars would look so cool with Halloween cards!

  40. Wow. I’ve never done hot foil stamping, and I like the outlined dies, but I’d like to see small flowers with solid petals. (Just an all-over pattern.) I think all the critters sets would like that. Or, raindrops? For the rain bears to slosh in! That’d be fun because of the sheen.

  41. Any holiday background would be fun. I’ve only been hot foiling for about a year it really adds to the card

  42. Gorgeous cards! Hot foil plates would be stars, snowflakes, confetti, dots, squares….any of those would be fun

  43. I haven’t gotten into hot foiling yet but it sure looks fun and the results are stunning! I think anything with a Christmas theme would be very useful.

  44. I’m hoping for more phrase/sentiment hot foil plates; I admit I think a foil sentiment looks cleaner than an embossed one. (Maybe it’s more user error? 😄) But I also want more full-card patterns, like the wood grain and the snowflake plate. Maybe a plate with small autumn leaves, similar to the falling hearts stencil?

  45. I would love to see some more bold sentiments in hot foil plates. The dainty scripty ones are nice too but sometimes you want something more bold!

  46. I don’t have a machine and have never used any, but I like the look. Flower outlines would be great. Simple ones.

  47. Well, I’m not really into hot foiling, but some simple background like stars, or stripes, zig zags might be nice.

  48. I’d like to see hot foil mini add-ons for stamp sets that already have dies that cut out focal point words, like Thanks, Thanks, Thanks. Kind of like when you went back and did dies for sets that originally didn’t have them. It would reinvigorate supplies we already have. This would also work well for sets that have images that are conducive to hot foiling, like the stars in The How You Bean add-on or Upon A Star… how amazing would it be to have hot foiled constellations!!!

  49. I don’t do the foiling yet, but love seeing the creations. Maybe a “crafted by” or “handmade” or “created especially for you” emblem for the back of cards.

  50. I’m not into hot foiling yet, since my Sizzix Big Shot still cuts perfectly, but I do enjoy seeing the foiled cards online!

  51. I do not hot foil but I’m sure whatever you come up with next will be amazing! Maybe even convince me to try it.

  52. How about streamers and confetti? Or some simple geo patterns to use as backgrounds? Maybe balloons? For baby cards, one w/ little icons like a duckie, a clothespin, a diaper pin, a rattle, etc.? How about waves? If I had a while to look through my stamps, I could come up w/ a lot more. Maybe butterflies…..? The Dandy Day set comes to mind… you could do the scattering dandelion seeds on a hot foil plate. Oh, there are tons of possibilities…….

All the projects you shared are amazing!

  53. Love the look of the mobile – so cute! Big bold sentiments would be great for new hot foil plates, some big snowflakes, raindrop backgrounds, and maybe some cool shapes of the solid plates, for using with the “left over” foil – like a big heart, circle, oval, etc?

  54. Foil plate are one thing I have yet to get into, but I think a starry sky, maybe with planets or lightning bugs would be fun.

  55. I have a hot foil machine that rarely gets used. I would like an affordable plate to use the negative foil when I do use the machine. Love the backgrounds you are creating along with the word plates.

  56. Don’t know anyone with a baby now, or anyone close to having one. But just have to have the mobile die.

  57. Love to see a big hot foil plate about Kindness or “Be Kind” ! Thank you for the chance at a giveaway!

  58. These cards are so cute! I would love to see some frames that can be put together for larger cards. I make mostly 5×7 and find myself having a hard time with all the plates being made for A2.

  59. I would love to see fireworks, spiderweb, a different pattern of snowflakes (as i love snowflakes) and gingerbread.

  60. Confetti or starry background or big words, as they are not cheap need to be versatile to justify the expense

  61. I don’t use hot foil plates (yet..), but I echo the idea of frames and snowflakes as some good suggestions. Also, how about one that is coffee or tea themed? (Coffee beans teabags, mugs)

  62. I’m so excited about hot foiling! I’m just getting started and am overjoyed to play! I want to foil *all the things*!!! So, keep bringing backgrounds and big scripty words and coverplates, please!

  63. I’m just starting out…but I like the idea of backgrounds…rain drops, stars, dots, paint spatters….anything that would combine well with other background techniques (inks, spatters, texture)

  64. I am not going to go down the foil hole! LOL! It’s pretty, it’s nice, I like the way it looks, but just not going to go that route.

  65. Full panels for backgrounds like hearts, sports themes like balls, holly and ivy, candy canes, music notes, rainbows
Also I saw someone wrote frames… I agree

  66. I’m surprised by how much I’ve been enjoying the hot foil background plates. The shimmer they add to the cards is lovely. I’m sure any designs you come up with will end up in my stash.

  67. I haven’t jumped on the hot foil train yet, but some themed plates for different holidays would be fun, like hearts for Valentine’s Day.

  68. I would love to see a hot foil plate for Happy Halloween Merry Christmas, Happy Easter, Happy Spring, etc. I would love to see a “full moon” hot plate!

  69. I am yet to jump on the hot foil bandwagon, but I would like to see little paw prints for pet-themed cards 🙂

  70. I am yet to delve into the world of hot foiling, but I love the background ideas, so hearts, rain or quilted would be good. 👍

  71. I would love plates with frames, stars, stripes, dots, big or small flowers, ornaments, dandelion, hearts, fish scales, sunburst/sunray, waves, quillted backgrounds, lines and many more 🙂

  72. I am absolutely loving hot foil plates. I’d love to see even more sentiments, perhaps in a different font. I’d also love a starry sky Backdrop hot foil plate. That would look so pretty.

  73. A Christmas themed background with different small ornaments holly berries. One with some small critters similar to the washi tapes. Those are so adorable and foiled they would be amazing.

  74. The mobile is just darling, thanks for all the fun inspiration. Plates with confetti or hearts, or encouraging sentiments will be versatile.

  75. I would love to see some more big scripty words hot foil plates, word background hot foil plates that say different words for the whole background, balloon hot foil plates or confetti hot foil plates

  76. Nice projects for today. I don’t have a foiler, but as the plates show up more and more, I’ll have to reconsider. Maybe coordinating plates… Something that goes with past stencils. How about something for borders?

  77. Stars! And done so they start larger at the top and get smaller at the bottom. I think that would be great.

  78. I don’t hot foil, but I have used hot foil plates to emboss. So a floral in the lawn Fawn style would be a very sweet background.

  79. I would love a get well soon scripty words hot foil. Apparently, get well isn’t a popular sentiment to hot foil, but I would use it a LOT!
