Design Team Inspiration

The design team has made the most amazing samples! So,remember to click on the person’s name to see all of the details! And leave these wonderful DT girls some comment love! We also have a video at the end to share lots of fun ways to use these new sets!

It looks like there may be a chance of Snow Flurries so Elise‘s foiled message is Let it Snow! Her card design is so beautiful and simple enough for making multiples. She layered Snow Flurries Backdrop in Peacock and Fog on a panel foiled with the new Foiled Sentiment: Let is Snow! Then she added a few crystal sequins and die cut sparkles to finish the design!

Mindy‘s design is so gorgeous! She foiled the Merry Christmas sentiment in bright gold before cutting it with a 3″ Stitched Circle Stackable. Then she popped it up on a beautifully stenciled background of Winter Sprigs! And then she added a border with Stitched Rectangle Frames.

Grace‘s slimline card is so imaginative! She created a Build-A-Cabin all decked out for the holidays with Mini String of Lights and a wreath on the door. Then she upped the creativity with a Foiled Sentiments: Let it Snow greeting as smoke from the chimney! That is just so clever!

I just love how shiny that foiled greeting is and how it adds so much festive fun!

Latisha‘s lovely card layers shine upon shine! First, she foiled the Merry Christmas greeting in green foil on a metallic gold panel. Then she cut it out with a Cross-Stitched Circle, which she layered on a large vellum circle. And then she added this to a Favorite Flannel panel with a strip of Christmas Tree Lot Washi tape. So much shine!

There’s just something about white ink on kraft cardstock, it always looks so special! In addition to the foiled Let it Snow, Audrey stamped some Frosties snowflakes in Yeti ink. Then she lightly inked the edges of the Stitched Rectangle panel. A sweet little vignette of Ready Set Snow snowmen and trees and sprinkle of snowflakes finish her beautiful design!

I love Yainea‘s collage inspired card so much! She began with a Spiffier Speckles Stitched Circle Tag, then she hot foiled the pretty Merry Christmas sentiment. She also hot foiled the Starry Sky Background onto more Spiffier Speckles paper for the background.

And then she assembled the foiled tag with gold metallic trees from Build-A-Snow Globe, an Everyday Sentiment Banner and finally a strip of Frosty Friends Washi tape! So creative and fun!

Stitched Snowflakes and Snowflake Background Stencils are the keys to Caly‘s gorgeous winter design! She added a beautifully ink blended base then layered the Foiled Sentiments: Let is Snow on top!

I love Elena‘s design so much! From the white-stenciled Winter Sprigs on brown cardstock to the Merry Christmas hot foiled on a vellum circle, it is just so beautiful! She also included pretty pinecones and pine sprigs from Build-A-Birdhouse Christmas Add-On as the perfect finishing touch!

The foiled Let it Snow sentiment looks so pretty framed by the Winter Wonderland Window! This design is so fun and easy to craft with just some pretty cardstock!

  1. Let it Snow is a favourite of mine, however I adore,
“It’s Beginning to look a lot like Christmas” & ” ‘Twas the Night before Christmas”
These are especially cute on cards for children 😊☃️🎅🎄❄️

  2. ” Merry Christmas & Happy New Year” “Have a Holly Jolly Christmas” “Santa Claus is coming to town”
“Christmas Blessings” “May the miracles of Christmas fill your heart with warmth & love” O Holy Night”
“Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer” & ” Twas The Night before Christmas” 💗

  3. Merry Christmas, May the miracles of Christmas fill your heart, Merry and Bright, Holly Jolly Christmas, and Christmas Blessings.

  4. Love the foiled sentiments and the size is so versatile. My favorite sentiments are Happy Holidays and It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year.

  5. For the Christmas season I like Seasons Greeting. Because than it is easier to change up my interior message. I like ‘Let it Snow’ for the rest of the winter season. Let it Snow can be used with a lot of cards.

  6. Right now, it’s “Have a Holly, Jolly Christmas.” For snarky, I like “Jingle all the way. Nobody likes a half-a**ed jingler.”

  7. I like “Let It Snow” or “Warm Winter Wishes”. These are great winter sentiments regardless of what holiday someone celebrates.

  8. It’s the most wonderful time of the year is my favorite holiday sentiment. I have not tried hot foil yet but is does look so nice!

  9. I like the traditional ones such as Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays, but I also like things like let is snow or warm winter wishes because it extends the season beyond Christmas.

  10. ‘Let it snow’ is a lovely non-denominational sentiment, but if that’s not a concern it’s hard to beat a classic ‘Merry Christmas’ 😊

  11. I haven’t tried foil yet, but these projects are gorgeous! I love and funny sentiment, but I’ll go with the Merry Christmas

  12. My favorite and usually the only one I use is Merry Christmas, particularly with a capital C on Christmas. Can we pretty please get the Merry Christmas in the larger size of the foiled one as a stamp. I would buy it in a minute!

  13. I usually just go for the standard “Merry Christmas!” on my cards unless there’s a specific one that matches what I’ve done!

  14. I’m new to foiling and these sentiments and cards are so beautiful! I am such a traditional person, so Merry Christmas and Happy New Year is my favorite sentiment for my Christmas cards.

  15. My favorite holiday sentiment is, “Cheers!” because it’s a generic and optimistic toast to beckon good fortune in the future. So, cheers to the entire LF Team!

  16. I am a oldie and like “O Holy Night”, “Merry Christmas “, “Peace on Earth”, “Silent Night”. Traditional sayings! Beautiful cards! Though I am not ready for snow, I am ready to make winter cards!

  17. For Holiday cards, my favorite sentiment has got to be “Merry Christmas”. I use different sizes and fonts every year, but Lawn Fawn’s giant “Merry Christmas” die is one of my favorites!

  18. Because I am such a dog person, I always try to include dogs in many of my cards – so Happy Howlidays or Happy Pawlidays are my favourite sentiments for the holidays!!!

  19. My favorite is “Merry Christmas” because I like to remember the reason for the season. “Season’s Greetings” is also nice b/c at the holidays, we communicate w/ many friends and family that we don’t often see.
    GREAT cards, design team!!

  20. I really like “May your Christmas be ” then larger “Merry and Bright”. But there are so many great ones! Love everyone’s favorites above! ☃️☃️☃️☃️

  21. My favorite & most used is plain ol’ Happy Birthday! I’d love to see that as a hot foil sentiment as well as Thinking of You.

  22. I use “Happy Holidays” the most for holiday sentiments the most, but I also like “Peace and Joy” for sentiments.

  23. I really like the beautiful metallic look, but I don’t have a foiling machine so I use embossing powder. What caught my eye on this video was both the snowflake and the greenery stencils. Just gorgeous!

  24. I like using the classic “Merry Christmas” or “Season’s Greetings”, or jazzing it up a bit with “Merry & Bright”, “Deck the Halls”, or “Jingle All The Way”. I also really like Christmas puns… my favourite that I used on card for my husband was from the Winter Unicorn set – “All I want for Christmas is You (and a Unicorn)” … so cute 🙂

  25. I like to keep it simple on my Christmas cards fronts with a simple Merry Christmas. I like to use let it snow for January cards.

  26. So many fun Christmas sentiments. My favorites are Have a Holly Jolly Christmas, Have yourself a merry little Christmas and Let it Snow.

  27. Oh I love these! I think hot foil is so much fun! My favorite sentiment for holiday cards is probably “Warm Wishes” I think it kind of covers all the bases.

  28. Merry Christmas, seasons Greetings, Peace on Earth – definitely nothing mentioning snow, being warm or winter. It’s summertime in New Zealand!

  29. I’m a pastor’s wife, so I will always be a sucker for a spiritual phrase, but I love it when I can emphasize Christ in CHRISTmas!

  30. I miss very much sentiments in the czech language. In the Czech Republic are few sentiments but the font is not nice, I do not like it.
So I would be very happy, if you could start creating sentiments in czech language 🙂

I do not have oportunity to use english sentiments on my cards but I like – Merry Christmas, Happy Halloween, Happy Birthday or Happy Easter.

  31. Merry Christmas is my favorite. I also am drawn to any nativity themed Christmas sentiments. Love these new foiled sentiments.

  32. I like sentiments like Happy Holidays, Warm Winter Wishes, and others that are inclusive of everyone, no matter what they celebrate during the season.

  33. I have several favorite sayings. My favorite if Jesus is the reason for the Season. Then Let its Snow, Have you self a very Merry Christmas, I’ll be home for Christmas, Have a Blessed Holiday Season.

  34. Have a Holly Jolly Christmas because it makes me think of one of my daughters who also happens to be named Holly and no she wasn’t born near Christmas LOL. But the sentiment I use the most is Merry Christmas 🙂

  35. ‘Merry Christmas’ on the front and ‘May the joy of Christmas be yours the whole year through’ are my favorite sentiments for my cards.

  36. Love the new foiled sentiments! They are super lovely, and the DT used them beautifully!

“Happy Holidays” is the sentiment I use most. I also use “Merry Christmas” regularly when making cards for the people who I know for sure celebrate Christmas, and “Happy Hanukkah for the friends who I know for sure are Jewish. I also really LOVE “Merry & Bright” and other sentiments borrowed from Christmas music. Y’all have me looking forward to drinking hot cocoa and making holiday cards! Can’t wait!

  37. My favourite sentiment is Merry Christmas followed closely by Peace on Earth. The one I use the most is Happy Holidays because I make cards to donate & they can not say “Merry Christmas” 🙁

  38. For a serious card, I love “Peace on Earth”. For fun or playful cards, I prefer sentiments that reference Christmas carols or old holiday movies or TV shows.

  39. Thank you for the awesome inspiration with these gorgeous cards!
I always go with the traditional sentiment of “Merry Christmas.”

  40. All the cards are so lovely!! I don’t have a favourite saying – when creating cards, I choose my sentiments depending on the theme and whether the recipient is a child or adult.

  41. So my red flag is that I don’t like mass producing cards. Meaning, I don’t have a favorite sentiment for cards. I tend to lean towards punny sentiments or carol lyrics though. 🙂

  42. Favorite sentiments are traditional: Merry Christmas or Peace (on Earth) – though I love anything with fun LF puns – We Fish you a Merry Christmas, Peas on Earth.

  43. Where I live there are not many snows in winter. So Let it snow is my favorite to use as for my wish to have more snow here.

  44. Love the Let it Snow so shimmering when foiled. The Winter wonderland arch is a great addition to the Snow Flurries backdrop I got last year.. Arches are in this year!

  45. I’m a big fan of Merry and Bright. I’d also love to see Lawn Fawn come out with some foilables for those of us who don’t have the hot foil systems.

  46. Wow! These are so bright and fun. My favorite holiday sentiment is “Happy Holidays”. I like to be more general and inclusive, so all folks feel included and acknowledged. I also always can use “Thinking of You” and “Sending Hugs” as well. THANKS for making so many options for all of us!

  47. So beautiful! I don’t own a hot foil machine, but I might need to get one. Lawn Fawn keeps making stunning projects with foil!

  48. I like ‘Merry Christmas’ and ‘Happy Holidays’. The winter sentiments don’t work as well here as Christmas is in the middle of summer!

  49. I like the traditional Merry Christmas. I like the Let it Snow, but I also like Merry and Bright and Joy to the World. Peace on Earth…
