Grace’s Embroidery Hoop Valentine Sewing Kit

Grace is back to share another brilliant crafty idea! She created Valentine sewing kits with Embroidery Hoop. They contain all the pieces to make two mini heart Valentines! So clever!

Grace’s creative project includes a cute circle shaped sewing kit pouch. She decorated it with a stitched heart from Embroidery Hoop and sweet images from Sew Very Mice. And she also used Stitched Scalloped Circle Frames and Fancy Scalloped Circle Stackables.

Creating the Pouch for the Sewing Kit

Here Grace provides step-by-step directions to create the custom pouch. She cut two Fancy Scalloped Circle Stackables for the front and back of the pouch. And she cut a rectangle to 1″ x 6 3/4″, scoring the long sides at 1/4″ and 3/4″. Then she cut little tabs using scissors along both sides, as in the picture.

She folded the small tabs in, so they face up, then she glued them to one of the circles following the curve. And then she glued the second circle, matching the scalloped detail of the first, photos 4 and 5.

Now you can decorate the outside as shown in the photos. So cute!

The kit contains two heart pattern templates to stitch, along with an assembled scalloped backer with foam tape already in place.

And then there’s the tiny Lacy Heart Stackable that Grace brilliantly used to hold the embroidery floss and needle. That is just so clever!

She filled the pouch with all the pieces needed to make sweet, stitched-heart mini-Valentines, including the floss and needle.

This photo shows the card components for two cards included in the kit. The recipient will stitch the heart then assemble the cards. Grace scored one of the Outside In Stitched Circle Stackables near the top to make the hinge for the mini card.

This kit is so clever, Grace and those little embroidered cards are absolutely adorable! Thank you so much for sharing this amazing inspiration!

Karin’s Charming Die-Cut Card

Be sure to join us tomorrow for the start of Lots of Heart Week! Our Design Team has some fantastic Valentine inspiration to share all week! And of course, there will be giveaways!

We have Karin with us today to share another of her beautiful card designs! This time she used mostly die cuts to create a lovely congratulations card!

Karin is so good at arranging beautiful little vignettes with die cuts! For this card, she used the birds, branches and leaves from Center Picture Window Card Heart Add-On. She added a little more detail with vines and a flower from Acorn House. Karin used Copic markers to give the die cut pieces so much pretty color and dimension.

To make the heart-shaped window, Karin started with a Fancy Scalloped Circle and then cut an Outside In Stitched Heart. She used Forest Border to create a stencil to ink the pretty landscape. As the finishing touch, she added a Wavy Sayings greeting on a Simple Wavy Banner!

Thank you so much for this gorgeous inspiration, Karin!

Fab Flowers with Jenn and Nancy

Our fawnie friends, Jenn and Nancy have been working together to launch our new challenge blog, Lawn Fawnatics. Today they share a fun collaboration using the same stamp set and dies. Nancy chose the stamp set: Fab Flowers and Jenn chose the dies: Fancy Scalloped Stackables. They created 2 lovely and very different looks, completely in their own styles.

Jenn’s gorgeous card features a Fancy Scalloped Circle that has been inked with Distress Oxide in Fossilized Amber to give it a beautiful vintage look! The bold red Scripty Hello looks fabulous with the pretty pastel Fab Flowers!

Nancy’s card was inspired by a tea-towel she saw at Anthropologie. She stamped Gingham Backdrops with Black Licorice ink to mimic the black and white gingham of the tea-towel and used bright bold ink colors to stamp the Fab Flowers. A Fancy Scalloped Rectangle in Sticky Note cardstock frames her main panel.

Thanks so much, Jenn and Nancy for sharing your beautiful card in this fun collaboration!
