Weekend Crafting Inspiration with Ivy

Happy Friday friends! Ivy is with us today with some great inspiration for your weekend crafting! She has a quick and easy set of cards featuring our new Giant Sending Big Hugs die! And then she shares a fun summery design with Stitched Pond Frame!

Ivy’s recipe for this fun design includes: Giant Sending Big Hugs, a combination of Shimmer and Sparkle cardstock and a cute image! Ivy used the Year Ten cactus and Elphie Selfie Flip-Flop, but the possibilities are endless!

Just look at that awesome sparkle and shimmer!

Now it’s your turn! Use Ivy’s quick and easy card recipe to inspire your cardmaking this weekend! Share your cards with us on Instagram, using #weekendcraftinginspiration We can’t wait to see your creativity!

And here is another delightful design! Ivy invited a bunch of critters over for a pool party! She used Stitched Pond Frame and some beautiful Pearlescent Vellum to create the swimming pool! Then she brought together critters from our new Scootin’ By set with Really High Five and On the Beach! Such a fun scene!

I love how it looks like the Scootin’ By critters are diving into the pool! And the Really High Five bear and bunny are swimming and splashing too!

Check out the shimmery shine of the Pearlescent Vellum! It is perfect to give the look of a refreshing pool!

Thank you for sharing your creative ideas with us today, Ivy!

Unicorns and Rainbows with Grace!

Hi friends! Today it’s all about unicorns and rainbows with a magical pair of cards by Grace!

Grace used soft pastel colors to set the scene for some rainbow fun! She used Unicorn Picnic along with Build-A-Castle, Giant Sending Big Hugs and the Swish ‘n Pop Pull-Tab!

To set the scene for this interactive card, Grace stenciled some puffy clouds, in pink of course! I love how she splattered the pink dots over the background! She cleverly repurposed some cloud die cuts to stand in as shrubs!

The Build-A-Castle die set adds a fun magical element, but it also conceals the rainbow and another unicorn! Grace used the Swish ‘n Pop Pull-Tab set to create some interactive magic!

Grace die cut the Stitched Rainbow from Pixie Dust cardstock. She gave it some rainbow color using Distress Oxide ink and a sponge blending tool.

Here’s a little peak at what’s behind the scenes of Grace’s clever interactive design! By switching the pull tab to opposite side, she hid the rainbow and a unicorn behind the castle!

Grace created another magical card design; this one is full card shaker! She inked up some rainbow colors for the background; then after adding some shaker bits, she covered it with a panel of clear acetate. On the acetate she attached the Giant Sending Big Hugs, die cut from Metallic Silver cardstock. And then, she finished the edges using the Reverse Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Window.

As a finishing touch, Grace included Party Unicorn, the Birthday Gift set for 2021. For more details about our free gift during your birthday month click HERE. We offer a new set every year starting in November through October.

Thank you for sharing these magical cards with us today, Grace!
