Popcorn-themed Valentines with Grace

Grace is back with another brilliant idea, this time for Valentine’s Day! She created popcorn-themed treats and a Platform Pop-Up card as well! These fun designs are perfect decorations and favors for a Valentine party!

The Platform Pop-Up and treat pockets resemble movie theater buckets of popcorn, right down to the red striped box! So much fun! She used paper from the All the Dots Collection pack for the iconic stripes.

Platform Pop-Up

To create the “popcorn”, Grace combined Bubble Border with the coordinating dies from Bubbles of Joy! She inked the cardstock with Sugar Cookie and Butter ink before adding the die cuts to the Platform Pop-Up inserts. Then she added a custom sentiment using Henry Jr’s ABCs and a phrase from All My Heart. She also added tiny hearts from All My Heart! And it wouldn’t be Valentine’s Day without a Magic Heart Message on a red heart!

Pillow Box Treat Pockets

Grace used one Pillow Box die cut to create two chocolate box favors. She simply cut the assembled box in half before adding the “popcorn” to the edges. Again, she used a sentiment from All My Heart, this time with Finley’s ABCs to spell out POP!

And she also made cute tickets using Raffle Tickets Lawn Cuts and Sprinkles ‘n Stripes 6×6 paper. She stamped “admit one” with a stamp from Wheely Great Day.

I love this brilliant popcorn idea, Grace! It’s so perfect for Valentine’s Day and lots of fun occasions. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity!

Lawn Fawn Video {2.4.24} Mona’s Colorful Dry-Embossed Card

In today’s video tutorial, Mona uses the Heart Wreath Stencils to create a beautiful dry-embossed card design! You can watch the video below or click HERE to watch at our YouTube channel.

Thank you so much for watching!

In the video, Mona shows how to use Bristol cardstock with a stencil to create a unique embossed pattern. She shares a great tip to spritz the cardstock with water, so the paper fibers are softer. She attached the wreath stencil to the paper then used an embossing mat and die-cut machine to emboss the wreath.

Next, she used the flower stencil in Heart Wreath Stencils to color the heart flowers with Tombow markers. The colors she used are so brilliant!

Mona stamped the Porcu-pine for You critters, flower from Oh Gnome and envelope from Special Delivery with Jet Black Ink. Then she colored the images with Tombow markers to match the Pink Tutu paper that frames the embossed panel!

She cut Scripty Hello from glittery Sparkle Kraft cardstock, then layered it on two more die cuts in white. And then she heat-embossed the sentiment from Magic Heart Messages in white, and fussy cut it before layering it on top of the Scripty Hello.

I love this fun dry-embossing technique! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful and creative card with us, Mona!

Karin’s Personalized Valentine with Winter Wonderland Window

Karin created a special Valentine card using a photograph to fill the Winter Wonderland Window!

Karin trimmed an adorable winter-themed family photo to fit inside the Winter Wonderland Window. And then she added extra snowflakes to decorate the frame. She layered the photo and frame on a plain white panel before adding to a Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frame.

Then she stamped and colored one of the Magic Heart Messages as the perfect greeting!

This is such a wonderful way to create a photo frame card! For a spring or summer themed photo, you could use the Secret Garden Window as a frame.

I love this beautiful card so much, Karin! Thank you for this brilliant idea!
