Mayra’s Amazing Tropical Shutter Card

Today we have Mayra with us to share her amazing tropical scene in a shutter card! The size of the Shutter Card (without the shutter) gave Mayra plenty of room to go “wild” with her jungle scene!

Mayra created a brilliant Shutter Card with a sweet message for someone special! She made a full front cover, decorating the belly band with our Hang in There sloth and Magic Iris Tropical Leaves Add-On.

On the inside of the Shutter Card, Mayra assembled a super fun and detailed jungle scene using Toucan Do It and Critters in the Jungle. She turned the Rub-A-Dub-Dub tub into a boat for the Bicycle Built for You couple. They are adventuring with an Ahoy Matey map and the telescope from Super Star! Mayra found the cute hats in the Dad + Me set.

To create a fun sentiment, Mayra combined Magic Messages with a couple of the sentiments from Toucan Do It.

For the background scenery, Mayra combined lots of tropical elements including Slimline Tropical Leaves Border and Tropical Leaves Backdrop. She also used Slimline Stitched Hillside Borders, Slimline Grassy Borders and Ocean Wave Borders.

Lawn Fawn Video {7.1.21} Marine’s Tropical Drink Shaker Card

Today, Marine is whisking us away to a tropical island for a sweet, strawberry cocktail! She created a super clever shaker card with a decidedly tropical vibe! You can watch the video tutorial below or click HERE to watch at our YouTube channel.

Marine combined little elements from lots of sets to create the look of a strawberry drink! Be sure to check out the supply list below to see which sets she used. You may already have most of these sets in your stash!

For the backdrop, Marine created the look of a tiki bar! She cut Simple Stripes: Landscape from Paper Bag cardstock and inked up the edges of each stripe to create a vintage worn wood look. Then she held the stripes together with washi tape to add the Tropical Leaves Background Stencils!

Marine used the How You Bean? mason jar as the base for her cocktail. It has a Shaker Add-On die to make assembling the shaker element a snap! The final touch was adding the Simply Celebrate Summer sentiment!
