Mini Box Dioramas with Grace Featuring A Creature Was Stirring!

Grace has a special project to share with you today! She created 3 mini dioramas using our Fancy Box die set! These light-hearted little scenes feature mice from A Creature Was Stirring, Crazy Antics and You’re Just My Type!

To decorate the outside of these amazing little boxes, Grace created shaker elements! She combined Stitched Scalloped Circle Frames with For You from the new Shutter Card Add-On set. She filled the shakers with Chunky Glitter for lots of sparkle to complement the Let It Shine papers!

Grace die cut 2 Fancy Boxes for each diorama; one she used to create the box. She used the other one as the cover from which she removed the side flaps. She decorated the inside of the box as a background for the scene and cut a rectangle window from the lid. To help build dimension for the scene inside the box, Grace made cardstock spacers using the measurements in the photo above.

Once she built the tiny scenes inside the assembled boxes she added a Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frame to coordinate with the Let It Shine paper she used to make the box. For this one she combined Cream Sprinkle ‘n Shine with creamy shimmer cardstock.

To add even more shine, Grace embossed the Christmas greeting from Shutter Card Holiday Sayings with pretty gold embossing powder!

Grace used layers of foam adhesive and the cardstock spacers to fill these little dioramas with lots of action! The cute little mice are stirring up some yummy Christmas treats!

Grace filled in the scenes with fun images from Baked with Love!

Each little scene is a mini masterpiece! These definitely qualify as “keepers” to be cherished by the recipient and displayed for years to come!

These mini gems are the perfect size to tuck in a loved one’s Christmas stocking!

Thanks so much for sharing this clever and creative project with us today, Grace! Your Fancy Box mini dioramas are so amazing!

Lawn Fawn Video {12.15.20} A Christmas Birdhouse Card with Kara

Kara is with us today to share a video tutorial for the gorgeous Magic Iris Birdhouse card she created for inspiration week! You can watch the video below or click HERE to watch at our YouTube channel.

Thank you so much for watching!

Kara’s amazing design features the Magic Iris Birdhouse Add-On that is part of the Valentine 2021 Release! It’s also perfect for Christmas paired with Stitched Poinsettia, Large Wreath and Spring Sprig!

Kara used just the birdhouse without making an interactive Magic Iris card. To add fun snow detail, she added clear embossing ink the roof and base of the birdhouse, then she used Textured White embossing powder for some snowy texture! The sentiment from Shutter Card Holiday Sayings fits perfectly inside the birdhouse window!

Thank you so much for creating this gorgeous card and sharing how to re-create it, Kara!
