A Jungle Themed Card by Kay!

Happy Saturday! Today we have Kay joining us to share another fabulous card design! She made a clean and simple scene using Critters in the Jungle with a colorful water splashed background!

To make the colorful background, Kay blended on several colors of Distress ink then sprinkled on some water!

Kay’s amazing Copic coloring skills give the Critters in the Jungle images so much detail and character! She added a cute sentiment from Happy Trails that works perfectly!

I love how Kay layered the colorful images; it makes a simple scene have a big impact!

Thank you so much, Kay! Your card is amazing and so are you!

This will be Kay’s last Saturday post for us. We have a new blog contributor ready to take her place on the first Saturday of each month and we know you will be inspired by her! By the way, you will still be seeing Kay’s awesome talent around the blog!

Lawn Fawn Video {7.27.17} + Marvy Week Day 4

It’s Day 4 of a wonderful week-long collaboration with our friends at Marvy Uchida! We will be sharing fabulous Design Team projects and videos using Marvy products! We hope you will be inspired!
Today we have a video tutorial by Lizzy using Marvy Watercolor Twist pencils and Deco Glitter Markers! You can watch the video here or at our YouTube channel.
Thanks so much for watching!

I love how Lizzy framed this delightful design with the tropical leaves from Critters in the Jungle!
And now we a fun origami boat by Lynette!
Lynette colored the images using Le Plume II markers!
The origami boat was made using a 8 1/2″ square piece of Cinnamon Spice Perfectly Plaid Fall 12×12 paper. The mast is a side piece of a Stitched Rectangle Frame and the stitched circles are from Flower Power. The boat is embellished with a Stitched Scalloped Border and Ocean Hillside Pop-up Add-on.
Bannertastic provides a space for the sentiment, with Ocean Wave Accents adding some cute waves. The birthday greeting and banner are from Plane and Simple!
Lynette says that by adding a piece of plastic to the bottom of the boat it can be an adorable cake topper for a child’s party! Click HERE for origami boat instructions.

First, we have a video tutorial for Nichol‘s awesome Out of this World card from yesterday! You can watch the video here or at our YouTube channel.

Thanks so much for watching!

How cool is Audrey’s Pizza My Heart card?! I love the shadowed look of the Louie’s ABCs letters she added with the help of the Xyron 1.5″ Sticker Maker! She also used the Tape Runner to assemble the layers on the card base.

Elise came up with a great crafty idea for her young daughter! She stamped, colored and die cut several cute images from Mermaid for You, Meow You Doin’? and Critters in the Jungle, then she used the Xyron 1.5″ Sticker Maker to create sticker sheets. Next she made some simple ink-blended backdrops using Stitched Hillside Borders and Little Fence Border so her little girl can make awesome sticker scenes!

This is such a brilliant idea, and so easy to do! This would make an adorable little gift to tuck into an Easter basket!

Be sure to join us all week for more of our hop with Xyron! Leave us a comment on our Xyron Hop blog posts all week to enter a giveaway to win a $25.00 Lawn Fawn gift certificate plus a Xyron Mega Runner!! We’ll announce the winner next week.
